1. The shift in recruiting patterns Today, a linear approach to tech recruiting is ineffective. Tech unemployment continues to be at an all time low. Recruiters need to execute a multi channel approach, but more importantly use the channel in the appropriate way.

Social Recruiting 3. How different sites are being used Tech specific sites such as Github, Stack Overflow and Dribble are used predominantly to contact and vet candidates, whilst more general sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are used for sharing content and promoting jobs to a wide audience. The most popular reason for using LinkedIn is to contact candidates, yet when asked where they are most likely to respond to recruiters, 63% of tech pros said email compared to just 19% who said LinkedIn InMail.
