The magnificent il Palagio may be one of the most fabulous villas and estates we have visited in Tuscany! This stellar air conditioned nine bedroom 16th Century villa is owned, and often inhabited, by rock and roll icon, Sting and his wife movie producer, Trudie Styler and features spectacular and well manicured gardens, a gorgeous large swimming pool, a tennis court, stables, brilliant organic vineyards, lush olive groves and that’s just the tip of the iceberg! With a bilingual full staff of cooks, maids, gardeners and concierge, this marvelous estate is now available to be rented for vacations and weddings for up to 400 guests! Originally built as a hunting preserve for a Florentine noble family, Sting and Trudi Styler lovingly renovated the villa and preserved its natural beauty and greatly enhanced it with an injection of style and charm. Il Palagio has a variety of locations for parties and events, indoor, poolside, in the wine cellar, under the loggia, or on the terrace for al fresco dining. It has a state of the art recording studio, a conference center, also designed to accommodate yoga classes, accommodations from 25 to 47 people in the Villa and the four guest houses on the estate. Impeccably, but comfortably, furnished,Villa il Palagio is not only an impressive villa, but it is very much a warm and beckoning home – and offers its guests an elegant but extremely comfortable vacation in paradise. Entering Il Palagio through the well equipped kitchen, you come into a gorgeous dining room with spectacular frescoed ceilings; this connects to a small study, where there is a a computer for guests to access the internet. From the office you proceed to a comfortable living room with a beautiful fireplace. Off the fireplace there is another office/study. From the study there is access to the main garden – and there is a dining table set up for fantastic al fresco dining. FIRST FLOOR: Up the stairs to the first floor, you reach the spacious private living quarters. There are four bedrooms on the first floor, each with its own huge en suite bathroom with a claw foot tub as well as a shower. Sting and Trudie’s bedroom is also on this floor but is sealed off and not included in the rental. SECOND FLOOR: Up the stairs to the second floor, there are another five beautiful large bedrooms each with its own en suite bathroom. Villa Il Palagio has an immense garden with many tucked away spaces where one can relax, enjoying the beautiful views. In the garden there is also an open air cinema.
