Sandy west coast beaches are a 300 metre stroll from the park, which is set in peaceful countryside and surrounded by rolling hills. The unspoilt seaside town of Girvan is nearby and Ayr, which features superb shopping, bars and restaurants serving delicious fresh fish and top quality beef, is only 20 minutes’ drive away. Ayr is home to Burns National Heritage Park which tells the story of Scotland’s most famous bard. A fascinating museum, his early cottage home, and places from his poems, such as Brig o’ Doon medieval bridge, help bring Robbie Burns’ legend to life. A few minutes along the coast is Culzean Castle, one of Scotland’s best loved and most impressively maintained castles. The walled gardens, deer park, swan pond, adventure playground and ranger walks entertain all ages. Turnberry’s setting makes it perfect for a range of outdoor pursuits, with an array of walks to follow, trout and sea fishing, horse riding and mountain bike trails. Park Facilities Our new indoor pool† will be available from July offering great family fun, while the sauna and steam room are a perfect place to relax and unwind. Kids will love the outdoor play area with climbing frame and swings, and there’s a children’s amusement area with games machines and pool tables. Our Ailsa Bar with terrace includes a restaurant and takeaway serving a variety of meals at weekends and during the school holidays and there’s regular family entertainment with music, quizzes and bingo. Superb self-catering is made easy with a well-stocked farm shop near the park entrance, which sells a wide variety of groceries and produce and we also have a launderette on park.
