A mobile app, launched in 2018, Party Hunt is a discovery platform for music events, venues, and artists that allows users to find and promote music events. Founded by Rachit Rawat, a 29-year-old Programmer who is also the CEO of the company, Party Hunt combines the digital marketplace with social networking tools allowing users to easily discover and book nearby parties, party organizers, and artists to promote music events and book performances including finding live music events or getting your events found. “Whether you’re a music enthusiast, venue host, or musician in Goa, this app was made with you in mind,” says Rachit.

Rachit Rawat was born and brought up in a small town in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He was interested in programming since he was 10 years old. When kids of his age played games like Tic Tac Toe, Rachit was creating games like Tic Tac Tor and Sudoku. He later went on to create an Indian astrological chart compatibility reading software as well. A child prodigy, to say the least, he won numerous quiz show awards and scholarships, one being from the Cambridge & Singapore Ministry of Education at the age of 14. He graduated from IIIT Allahabad in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. He loves solving technical challenges and has more than 7 years of work experience in the IT start-up industry. Rachit keeps himself occupied even in his spare time with hobbies like reading, travelling, physics, spirituality, dancing, and chess to name a few.

“As a global party destination, ‘Where’s the party?’ is the biggest question for travelers in Goa,” says Rachit. Being part of the global music community, they decided to bridge this huge market gap by bringing in Music and Events which connect people. Thus, a social network platform built around music events will have the most in-person social interaction as compared to any other virtual social network.

Party Hunt offers plenty of features to partygoers. With the discovery filter, users can search for various kinds of parties based on personal preferences. It also provides a map feature that helps locate the nearest party in a map format. It is an open discovery platform for partygoers and for event organizers to upload their parties. Party Hunt also provides marketing and promotion tools for party organizers so more people can come across parties listed by organizers. These marketing plans are as per budget and audience. This app also provides networking tools for artists, fans, and partygoers which makes the app easily accessible and simple to use. Party Hunt aims to build an online marketplace for the music event community. Rachit’s vision is to connect people through dance and music. Parties are where people can have the most entertaining life experiences, this is why they have the highest customer delight in our industry. Music connects people and events bring people together. Thus, a social network platform built around music events will have the most in-person social interactions as compared to any other virtual social network. Party Hunt has been featured in Startups India as one of the top 13 concert companies in India Party Hunt’s business idea was perfect, launching a party-based platform in a happening destination like Goa. Things were sailing smoothly until Covid struck. “Covid was the biggest challenge our company faced”, recalls Rachit.

Covid had hugely affected the inflow of tourists from parts of India which had impacted the event industry and tourism in Goa, which was directly related to their business. There was a lot of uncertainty and confusion about how the season would turn out for Goa. Despite all of it, Party Hunt had the most profitable year in 2021. As remote work was standardized, it was easier for professionals to relocate to travel destinations. After the covid lockdowns were lifted, the travel and event industry

saw an upsurge that resulted in travelers and parties like never before.

“Even the monsoon season has a great turnout despite covid and ongoing situations,” says Rachit. Even if Party Hunt is mostly about Goa, they aim to become a global social network for the music event industry. In the next five years, they envision expanding their operations to five new locations across India and expanding internationally as well, while accounting for an upsurge in their user base of up to 50 million, connecting the entire nation through music and building a strong community that shares similar interests.

To our readers, Rachit would like to say, “It is very crucial to have a strong belief in yourself even before anyone else believes in you. You need to keep yourself motivated by believing in yourself and your vision. It is also very important to have a laser focus on the customer’s pain points, that’s what connects you to your audience.”
