1. The Cognex Logo The Cognex Logo • Should always appear in black for print and electronic documents. • Should always appear on a white, yellow, or light gray background color. • Must always be reproduced using the logo jpeg graphic file, not recreated from the PC font. • The “Vision for Industry” tagline should not be used with the Cognex logo on new material. • No trademark (® or ™) symbol is required when using the Cognex logo in its graphic form. However, the ® or ™ symbol should be used the first time the company name appears within the text of a document.

Note: Cognex logo artwork may be downloaded from the Cognex ASP and PSI portals.

• A special logo exists for Cognex China. This is the only subsidiary with a transliterated logo. All rules governing use of the Cognex corporate logo apply to the Cognex China logo.

Space Requirements • The Cognex logo should be always be surrounded by clear space. • Verticle clear space requirement: a minimum of one half the height of one letter is required above and below the logo; a full letter space is preferred. • Horizontal clear space requirement: one full letter space is required to the left and right of logo.

Logo “Don’ts” • The logo should not appear as white reversed out of a solid or photographic background, except in the following cases: • Promotional items.

• On products. • The Cognex logo should never appear in upper and lower case Eurostile. The Cognex logo should be reproduced only from a jpeg graphic file, and should not be recreated using the Eurostile font. Cognex Partner Identity Guide

• Do not use the Cognex logo font (Eurostile) for any text other than the Cognex logo. Please use Arial or another sans serif font for all text other than the Cognex logo.

• Do not combine the Cognex logo within any backgroundshapes that might appear to be part of the logo.

2. Product Logos Product Logos • Product logos are available in two versions: a) the product name only, or b) product name plus the product category name (example: In-Sight® Vision Systems). • It is recommended that product logo graphics be used when the product name appears as a standalone item. The logo graphics should not be used when the product name is combined with other text.

Example: Product logo

• When the product name is used within a sentence, headline, or other text phrase, the product name should be written in the same font as the body text or phrase it appears with. • No trademark (® or ™) symbol is required when using product logos in their graphic form. However, the ® or ™ symbol should be used the first time the product name appears within the text of a document.

• Do not replace the “product category” text with other text.

Color • Cognex product logos may be reproduced in any color in the Cognex color palette specified on page 5 (plus white or black). Product logos should always appear on a white, yellow, or light gray background color. • Yellow product logos should only be used for PowerPoint presentations that have a grey or black background.

Space requirements • Maintain clear space requirements around product logos and product name/product category logos. Clear space requirements = 1/2 the height of an upper case letter in all directions.

D Cognex In-Sight® Vision Systems combine a library of advanced vision tools with high speed image acquisition. Example: Do not use the ® symbol with the logo graphic. The ® symbol should be used within the body text the first time to product name appears in the document. It is not required to repeat the ® symbol again with that product name within that document.

Using Product Logos with the Cognex Logo • When appearing on the same page, product logos should be separated from the company logo; never use a product logo directly adjacent to the company logo.

3. Color & Type Standards

Color Standards

Typography

• The above colors, plus black and white, are the preferred standard colors for all Cognex print and electronic communication, trade show graphics, and corporate signage.

• Sans serif typefaces should be used in all documents.

• For building signage, chrome or brushed metal may also be used to reproduce the Cognex logo.

• The typefaces Arial and Arial Narrow are the preferred standard for all internally created documents and presentations.

4. ASP / PSI / CSI Partner Use of Cognex Identity Permissions and Acknowledgements by Partners • All outside organizations (ASPs, PSIs, CSIs, customers, OEMs, integrators, and partners) using Cognex identity elements in print must follow all graphic identity guidelines of this document, and include a note such as those below in the published document: • "The ‘Cognex’ logo is the property of Cognex Corporation. Reprinted with permission." • “Photographs are the property of Cognex Corporation. Reprinted with permission." • Whenever possible, Cognex ASP, PSI, and CSI partners should provide Cognex Marketing Communications with a draft of any document that includes Cognex content.

ASP and PSI Partners • ASP and PSI partners should use the following specialized logos as the primary way of identifying their business relationship with Cognex.

• Whenever the partner’s company name appears with Cognex identity elements, the partner’s company name should be displayed more prominently than the Cognex partner logo or product name. • The partner’s company name, trademarks, service marks, or product names should not be placed in the immediate vicinity of a Cognex product name on packaging, labels, or advertisements. • The Cognex corporate logo may not be used by outside organizations on any packaging materials. • ASP and PSI partners should not register any website names that include the word “Cognex.” • On shirts and clothing, partners should use only the Cognex ASP or PSI logo. Do not use the ASP or PSI logo in conjunction with the Cognex corporate logo. • For promotional items, the Cognex partner logo may appear in either black or yellow, depending on the item’s background color. White, light gray or dark gray backgrounds are preferred.

CSI Partners • Integrators that have been certified should use the CSI logo as the prime identifier for their business. • CSIs producing shirts and clothing items should use the badge standards available from Cognex.
