Small residential object, designed for a couple with the possibility of creating an additional room on the top floor. Design was based on the main principles of the passive house design, taking into consideration orientation and form of the building, size and placement of the openings, materials, shading, etc. Additional element is the greenhouse that acts as the buffer zone on the North and can be used as a winter garden. Another important element of the design are the massive shutters over the windows on the south that can be open to form an overhang. PV panels on the roof are the main source of energy for the house.

The Garden Apartments project is focusing on providing healthy living environment with zero emissions for it’s inhabitants in the city without compromising on the quality of their lifestyle. The building is made of recycled and local natural materials, using prefabricated constructions to keep the design simple and building system userfriendly to reduce the need for maintenance and plan ahead the deassembly of building parts for future reusing. The house is for everyone, the ages and social groups inclusive, as well as for the people with special requirements. The opencorridors plan offers a socially fulfilling space and increases the feeling of security and belonging to a community.

The project had a focus on the community involvement in the design process by designing and building a place for young people. The aims were to encourage young inhabitants to become active in the area development and to create a place for kids and young adults, which they can take over and use in various ways. Many workshops were organized during the design period to help us come up with the final proposal. The entire project, including the design and construction, was completed in less than 4 months and the students were involved in every phase of it.

The concept is to create experimental selfsustainable community that relies on urban agriculture. This complex, located on the outskirts of Belgrade, Serbia, would be a mixture of residential, public and educational activities in one entity. Concept of living above greenhouses came from analyzing the use of soil. This way it is possible to keep the soil fertile while using it as a building land. The location of the complex can minimize transportation costs and improve living conditions in the area. It’s also introducing the concept of vertical gardens allowing residents to experiment with different types of urban farming.

Master’s thesis based on the research on light pollution problem in urbanized areas. The design phase was focusing on a facade project of a chosen parking garage, attempting to increase its aesthetical value but also influence the light pollution in the area. It was done through a number of form experiments, adding up to the chosen design of modified vertical fins. Two different texture designs were derived from the context, with one being simple, natural solution, while the other one is based on modern technology creating complex geometry. The entire facade is easily interchangeable which makes it a great testing ground for further research.

29

Controling the light

Visual connection

Top part of the facade has a function of preventing the light to escape the parking garage at an eye level of the passangers, increasing the comfort conditions of the area.

Bottom part should increase transparency and allow for visual connection of the parking and the street users. This is a way to keep the safety on a high level but also treat the parking as a part of the environment.

This design seeks to tackle the problem of sunlight heating the hospital building while the patients will also want a view at the AMC healthpark. In order to do that, a metal sheet is to be cut with a pattern that is parametrically designed so that it can be bend to form a panel. This panel will then provide shading in summer, sun in winter and a great view around the year. The parametric design allows for the panel to not only be applied on the facade of the AMC but anywhere in the world basically since the panel can be optimised to fit any conditions.

Four-days long design and build workshop, organized by Chalmers and On/Off Design Collective. The task was to create a mobile bicycle workshop and recycling promotional stand in one box 120x120x60cm. Concept was to split the box into two parts and create elements that would fold out or be taken away. The bike stand is a part of the box, the idea is to have a grid and wooden sticks that can be inserted in desirable holes on the grid allowing different types of bikes to be placed in the perfect position. The grid is duplicated on the inside, creating a space for tools. Recycling is presented through a game, showing the original object and an idea of its reuse. There is also a small foldable desk with two chairs. It is now a part of Fixoteket: Hammarkullen.

MOR is developing a renovation strategy to renovate underperforming office buildings into net-positive, multi-purpose buildings that are contributors to their environment and catalysts for activities and social interactions. The building is flexible to programmatic changes and adaptable to the inhabitants’ needs over time by way of a modular design from the interior modules to the photovoltaic facade tiles on the exterior, as well as through the use of design for disassembly methods. MOR aims to create a future-proof built environment that gives more to its surroundings than what it takes away from it. As a case study for the project, the Team decided to refer to the Marconi towers in Rotterdam, a typical 1970s office typology located in an area currently being transformed into a new makers district.
