I recently did an architectural survey for 3 mountain villas, built BIM models of them and am now designing their reconstructions. I am also leading the project for the extension of a countryside house. I created a full 30-page presentation for a competition for the interior of the pharmaceutical giant Roche’s new building in Sofia. I selected furniture, materials, colours. I also carry responsibility for the PR and online presence of the firm. I lead every aspect of the creation of a new website for the firm and communicate with platforms like ArchDaily, Archello and a number of Chinese and Colombian magazines.

SHEFFIELD ROBOTICS INSTITUTE AND MUSEUM
Enhancement of the urban realm, respect to a sensitive context and flexibility of usage are the defining aspects of my proposal for a Sheffield Robotics Institute. The project interprets the weaving of 3 words together: robots, scientists and the public into a playful grid system of solids and voids. The main aims of my design were to bring transparency into the development of AI, educate people about robotics, let AI and humans learn to interact, and to engage people in the debate around the future of AI. The heart of the building is the Urban Living Room - an adaptive indoor city square which allows humans’ freedom and emotions to collide with robots’ logic-dependency and define the future of human-robot interaction. I took the project one step further by re-designing the city square in response to the City Council’s official plans to make it more inviting and usable.

The museum part of the building is located underground as a way to signify the past’s relation to the present (ground level). The museum hosts exhibits from different periods of the development of robotics, so it is divided into different areas: from a smaller scale space that accentuates detail (in automata) to a larger room with a futuristic atmosphere for the robots of the recent past

EDINBURGH PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY
The new home for the Edinburgh Photographic Society is located at an emblematic spot in the heart of the city: the famous Granny’s Green Steps. To mend the strong contrast between the club feeling it calls for and its highly commercial context, the building consists of 3 segments, going from public to private. The semi-private outdoor space associated with the gallery provides a new type of experience for the area and enriches the Grassmarket square. My design references the castle geometry, while the large frames serve as structure and shading for the gallery, and a sign of the building being civic. The site is located at the foot of the Edinburgh Castle and is always present in the pictures taken from the bustling Grassmarket towards the historic landmark. Thus, with it being a Photography Club, I aimed to create a gentle design that enhances, rather than dominates the view.

The site is on a south-facing slope, so it is important to carefully design the way the gallery is lit up. A north-facing space is less appropriate, as it would have to be tall and dominate the landscape. My building’s structure will incorporate ribs that diffract and disperse the light rays evenly in the gallery space, as well as create an exciting connection between the outside and inside.

CRISPICO THE ROBOT Teamwork 2 weeks Y3/Sem1 Tutor: Mr. Robert Blundell Academic My role in the project: I took the most proactive role in the concept development, so I became the leader and organized the team’s activity together with 2 teammates- we distributed the tasks amongst the rest of the team according to everyone’s preference and made sure that things were moving on schedule. In addition, I researched and designed the gear train, which was an integral part of the machine. I also composed posters for the exhibition, helped construct the machine and presented the result to the jury
CRISPICO THE ROBOT
As a group of 15 with a 2-week timeframe, we designed, laser-cut and built this functioning mechanism from scratch. The basic parts that makeCRISPICO it up: gears, linkages, cams and followers, come together to create a train of motion that makes the mechanism look alive. A uniformly running simple mechanism would always have uniformly running simple mechanism would always have theAsame output. Human intervention guarantees a different the same output. Human intervention guarantees a different result every time; repeated inaccuracy creates chaos whilst result every time. And repeated inaccuracy creates a mess but building history and breathing life into creation. also builds history and breathes life into the creation.
Confronted with a machine we test it, try it drawings, out and learn Comparing the machine’s drawing to human we how it behaves. Once we understand it, we can start using emphasized on the human freedom for imprecision. The basic parts that make up Crispico: gears, linkages, cams and followers come together to create a train of motion that makes the mechanism look alive. Through fixing pens at key points we trace the movement that each component makes and the effect it has on the surface.
We ran Crispico and have exhibited what it can do on its own. We now invite you to work together with it and explore the difference you can make to its operation and output by including your human freedom for imprecision in its equation.
We started off from a general vision for the final product

REUSE FURNITURE STORE: A SPIRITS’ PLAY
A reuse furniture store which I had the freedom to develop as my own business. My studio’s strategy was to incorporate an old and run-down vernacular house from Southeast Asia and design an envelope for it. I chose a Clan Jetty house from Penang, Malaysia. Focusing on detail, I designed a short section, which when repeated in depth, formed the building itself. Just as old furniture, my building is heavy on narrative and embraces superstition, turning it into a marketing strategy. Playing with light and visibility, there is a strong sense of discovery when wandering around in the building, while the facade also serves as a shop window for drivers on the busy road and riders on the elevated MRT line. The tropical climate allows for completely natural ventilation, while the green roof provides a space to linger and a distraction for nearby residents from the view of the Chinese cemetery adjacent to the site. With a brief requiring a reuse furniture store with storage area and a workshop, we were given the freedom to develop it as our own business. My studio’s strategy was to incorporate an old and run-down vernacular house from Southeast Asia and design an envelope for it. I chose a Clan Jetty house from Penang, Malaysia. Focusing on detail, I designed a repeatable short section, to which some adjustments are made in depth to form the building itself. Just as old furniture, my building is heavy on narrative and embraces superstition, turning it into a marketing stratenar gy. disCONNECT Location: Sofia, Bulgaria Teamwork Competition “Non-Architecture” Competition: HEALING 2020 Award: Editor’s Pick Personal project My role in the project: developing the concept and its appearance, defining the views of the 3D model and the composition of the images, turning the renders into colorful and exciting posters
Social inequality, loneliness, immobility: these were the words flooding our everyday lives during the weeks of quarantine. Forced to stay indoors, we painfully observed how what we considered almost human rights, like access to greenery, sunlight and fresh air, turned into a luxury often available only to the privileged few. Our proposal embraces a scenario where residents are quarantined in small clusters of blocks, and introduces a usable and uplifting outdoor setting to
help battle the aforementioned pressing issues. The installation of a set of elevated meandering pathways at alternating proximities ensures safe interaction, while simultaneously transforming the repetitive buildings’ roofs into a green and diverse environment. The chill, sports and adventure tracks target specific users, suggesting appropriate speeds and activities along their one-way routes. The variety of platforms protruding from the thematic paths allows
residents to find some personal space and exercise, relax, play and work in a safe but dynamic environment. Providing a space for holistic healing both for the residents and for the monotonous urban tissue by introducing diversity, colour and identity, our proposal takes a strong stand for the importance of equality of access to outdoor space for securing the welfare of quarantined communities.
