A QUALITY PRODUCT FOR EUROPE
The launch of a new product is always an important time for a company. And sometimes it can actually be satisfying and pleasant. This is the case with the launch of the Eurocargo, a quality product that customers throughout Europe have been able to appreciate for some time now, and which now is being presented in the Euro 6 version, at a time when Iveco and our entire Group is going through a period of evolution and development. At the end of September, CNH Industrial made its début on the New York and Milan stock exchanges. The merger strengthens the competitive position of CNH, Iveco and FPT Industrial, improving and enlarging the prospects for growth of all its brands. Thanks to solid economic foundations of the Group, to its diversification and to the global presence of its production and sales structures, Iveco can continue to operate in all the important areas, investing and working to improve our business. In this sense we have continued to invest in products: in the pages that follow you will read about the new Eurocargo Euro 6 and about the international show in Courtrai in Belgium, where we introduced the new Euro 6 range Iveco Buses with the Urbanway, Crossway and Magelys models, which have had not only their engines, style and functionality completely refurbished. Moreover, we are bringing our products to new markets, like the Stralis Hi-Way which was recently launched in Latin America. Versatility and flexibility are the values that have always been a part of Eurocargo, a vehicle capable of doing everything and doing it well. An innovator in engines, gearboxes, and safety, without ever compromising its reliability and its spirit of practicality. A vehicle that maintains its value over time and above all a vehicle that we are proud of and that customers throughout Europe truly appreciate, placing it at the top of its reference market. This is why we have decided to make Eurocargo the absolute protagonist of an event that travels throughout Europe, to introduce it and tell its story. This is the story of a vehicle that has European potential and that has written the most important pages of this company, and which is now truly “perfect in every situation”. Maurizio Pignata

THE NEW EUROCARGO by Stefania Castano
PERFECT IN EVERY SITUATION THE NEW EUROCARGO COMES WITH EURO VI ENGINES. EVEN MORE VERSATILE AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. IN OTHER WORDS, MORE “SUBSTANTIAL”
Launched in 1991, for Iveco the Eurocargo is now a symbol, a vehicle that is part of transportation “culture” in many countries. It has garnered widespread success, both critically and from the public. And even today, 22 years from its début, it is still a “leader”: in Italy, where it is the most respected “medium truck”, and in Europe, where sales put it at the top of the classifications in many countries. And yet Eurocargo is not sitting on its laurels. Already built with the right features to outdo the competition, it has continued to renew itself over the years, to offer customers even more in terms of: innovation, versatility,
4
sturdiness, performance, safety, and reliability. And it continues to do so today with the new Euro VI range. The upgrade to meet the strict regulations on emissions, in fact, was an opportunity for Iveco to make further improvements. Not so much aesthetic changes, which do not provide many benefits to the end user, but rather changes under the skin, substantial modifications, to confirm and strengthen those that have always been our strong points and starting with versatility, which makes Eurocargo the most suitable truck for any requirements, whether they
be urban distribution, construction site work, or the transportation of goods or services for local authorities. Therefore new engines were introduced, the four and six cylinder Tector 5 and Tector 7 engines, with improved performance and that are even more environmentally friendly thanks to the sophisticated system for treating the Hi-eSCR exhaust gas and a new ZF 12-speed automatic transmission was adopted. To improve life on-board, to make it even safer and to allow customers to better configure the vehicle to its work requirements, new features, both standard and optional, have been added. Like the

new ESP, the Hill Holder, the Bluetooth radio, the possibility of checking the oil level without having to tip up the cab. So, small but important changes, thanks to which the new Eurocargo Euro 6 is more competitive and productive than ever, ready to meet fresh challenges and to fully respond in the best possible way to customer requirements.

Eurocargo has won more awards than any other truck in the history of the transportation of medium sized goods, and over the years has become the reference commercial vehicle in Europe in its category. Worthy heir of a series of models that made history in the sector - from the OM Lupetto to the Iveco Zeta - when it was launched, in 1991, it was an authentic revolution. Modularity, technology and innovation are the features that have made it a success. Here are its main stages: 1992 Designed in the second half of the 1980s, Truck of the Year together with Eurotech and EuroStar, Eurocargo it is one of the “Euro” range's key players. Right from the outset it stood out with the modularity of the product concept, understood both as the “offer chart” as well as the components used by vehicles. In 1991 Eurocargo won the “Truck of the Year 1992” award. The reasons were: an unprecedented variety of versions, cutting edge technology, a record effective capacity and high safety standards. It was just the first of numerous recognitions from the international trade press. In 1999 the EL range was launched, specially designed for urban distribution applications. 2001 The new version has technical solutions like the lowered cab, the lighter chassis and the smaller diameter tyres, which offer reduced load height, without penalising load capacity. 2001 saw the launch of the new Tector 4 and 6 cylinder engines in the Nef range, engines with excellent performance and low running costs. 2003 saw the Model Year, with a completely new cab designed by Bertone. For the first 2006 time it was available with a medium roof on long cab versions. In 2006 the new Euro IV and Euro V engines were launched. In 2008 Eurocargo received once more a completely refurbished range of cabs and a design in line with the new Iveco family feeling.

Eurocargo - EURO 6
THE TECTOR EURO VI ENGINES The new Eurocargo inherits the excellent Tector engines launched in 2001 with the slogan “Designed for the future. Nothing could be more true: at that time the range of engines incorporated highly innovative solutions, both regarding the construction technology as well as the modularity of the components and the choice of materials, which guaranteed reliability, easy maintenance, and extremely low operating costs. Today the Tector engines have been completely revisited and redesigned so that they meet the new stricter emission limits imposed by the Euro VI regulations, without having any negative effects on the vehicle's architecture and costs, but actually improving performance and profitability. The new range has been designed to cover an even wider range of applications and to make sure customers have an engine that is most suited to their requirements. It includes three new Tector 5 - with 160, 190 and 210 horsepower - which replace the previous 140, 160 and 180, and four

Tector 7, with 220 (4x4), 250, 280 and 320 horsepower. All the engines have greater displacement than the previous Euro V range: 4.5 litres for the Tector 5, and 6.7 for the Tector 7 engines. The engine's maximum rotation speed drops from 2700 to 2500 rpm, diminishing consumption and noise but improving the vehicle's driveability and the duration of the components. The torque values are much higher than the previous engines: the increase is respectively 9 and 19 per cent for the Tector 5 160 and 190 horsepower engines, 18 per cent for the Tector 7, 220 horsepower engine, and 5 per cent for the 280 and 320 horsepower engines. The 210 horsepower Tector 5 is brand new, a valid alternative to the heavier 220 horsepower, 6 cylinder engine for those who want similar characteristics, but with a lower weight and lower consumption.

THE NEW EUROCARGO by Stefania Castano
THE NEW AUTOMATED 12-SPEED EUROTRONIC TRANSMISSION IS AVAILABLE FOR THE TECTOR 7 VERSIONS STARTING WITH THE 12 TON MODELS The new automated 12-speed ZF transmission provides improved performance with heavy loads and less clutch wear. It also improves driveability and control of the gear ratio. Advanced software calculates the mass of the vehicle, the required torque and the pressure on the accelerator pedal and continually communicates the ideal ratio to be selected and the correct opening/closing cycle of the clutch. The entire Eurocargo 4x2 range will still have the automated 6-speed ZF transmission available. Completing the offer are six light and efficient ZF manual transmissions - 5, 6 and 9 gears - with synchronisation calibrated for ensuring maximum ease of engagement. And, depending on the models, there are also three different types of Allison
5-speed automatic transmissions, capable of providing a high degree of comfort and low running costs in the “stop and go” type of applications, like for example waste collection. So, for the entire range the customer has the possibility of choosing the gearbox that is most suited to his business and the driving style of his drivers.

TRAVELLING COMFORTABLY AND PEACEFULLY
THANKS TO THE DISC BRAKING SYSTEM, THE POWERFUL ENGINE BRAKE AND THE MANY ACTIVE SAFETY DEVICES, EUROCARGO HAS ALWAYS ALLOWED NOT ONLY ITS CLIENTS TO TRAVEL WITH COMPLETE PEACE OF MIND BUT ALSO ALL OTHER ROAD USERS One new feature of the Euro VI range is the advanced ESP system that was introduced as standard for the 12-18 tonne versions and which is available as an optional also for the 6-10 tonne range. This is a device that allows you to already fulfil your obligations concerning the upcoming regulations regarding stability control (EVSC Enhanced Vehicle Stability Control). The driver, moreover, now has the Hill Holder at his disposal, which prevents the vehicle moving backwards in uphill starts. We should remember that a pleasant working environment also contributes to safety, allowing the driver to be relaxed and rested especially on long hauls, when the time spent on board can be extremely long. For this reason the Eurocargo has a new Bluetooth radio available as an optional for all versions, which allows you to manage more sources and
multimedia outputs and to access additional functionalities like handling telephone calls. A new instrument panel has also been adopted, which includes the real-time consumption indicator. This is not all. Attention to the customer's needs can also be seen in the details. Everything on the Eurocargo has been designed to simplify the driver's life. It is now possible, for example, to check the oil level and top it up without having to tilt the cab. All those solutions that for years now have made the Eurocargo the ideal working environment have been kept in place: from the feature rich and ergonomic dashboard, where everything is within easy reach and positioned in the most intuitive place, to the comfortable seats made of cotton and microfibre;
from the door panels with an arm rest and controls for mirrors and power windows to solutions that make crossing the cab easier, namely the gear control on the dashboard, the lowered engine tunnel and the handbrake lever in a position that has been moved back; not to mention the programmable airconditioning and heating system, which allow you to have the desired temperature and an ideal distribution of the airflow in just a few seconds, the excellent soundproofing and the perfect visibility guaranteed by the wide windows and by six rear-view mirrors: two main ones, two wide-angles, one kerb mirror and one front mirror.
PERFECT IN EVERY SITUATION No truck adapts more easily than the Eurocargo to any type of work. Eurocargo is the most versatile vehicle in its category and at the same time the its specialist vehicle. Due to a unique product offer that provides: • 14 types of Gross Vehicle Weight (from 6 to 19 tonnes); • 2 types of engines (Tector 5 and 7) with 7 power ratings (from 160 to 320 HP); • 13 gear shifts (six manual, four automated and three automatic); • 15 wheelbases(from 2,790 to 6,570 mm); • 2 types of drive: 4x2 or 4x4; • 3 types of cab (day, for daily use, sleeper for work that requires sleeping on board and crew cab 6+1 for carrying up to 7 persons), with 2 roof heights (standard and high). These features, together with a wide selection of chassis, suspensions and final drive ratios, provide more than 11 thousand possible versions. The structure of the chassis with steel parallel side members - without any intrusion above the chassis frame and with body mounting from 4,265 to 10,175 mm makes the Eurocargo the medium vehicle that is the most appreciated by body builders, because it can easily be fitted out for all types of work.

THE PRESENTATION by Stefania Castano
A CELEBRITY FOR A DAY
THE NEW EUROCARGO PROTAGONIST AT THE NATIONAL CINEMA MUSEUM AT THE MOLE ANTONELLIANA, ONE OF THE MOST STRIKING AND ADMIRED PLACES IN TURIN “Are you ready for something perfect?”: this was the “teaser” that appeared at the start of November on the Iveco Facebook page. Below, the photo “Truck in the city” with a “Maranello red” Eurocargo taken in Turin, in piazza Vittorio Veneto, in perfect harmony with the light sculpture by Mario Merz, “The flight of numbers”, installed on the dome of the Mole Antonelliana in the background. Actually, on November 12th something perfect did arrive. In the prestigious setting of the National Cinema Museum of Turin, Iveco presented a preview of the new Eurocargo Euro VI, the ideal partner for business because it is “Perfect in every situation” as the advertising campaign that will accompany its launch around Europe says. From the Temple Hall, the heart of the Turin Cinema Museum, customers and journalists could watch the striking opening film dedicated to the new Eurocargo, projected onto two giant screens which regularly display clips of films that have made cinema history. In the video, Italian excellence, from cities of art to wine, from fashion to music, from design to sport, was a backdrop to a Eurocargo that travels across Europe, from north to south, in a virtual manner. «A leader in Europe, the Eurocargo explained Federico Gaiazzi, General Manager for the Italian Market, Sales & Marketing, commenting on the pictures, - is a global product, but one that was born in Italy. A very Italian form of excellence, which we want Europe to appreciate. An example of efficiency, high technology and high quality
10
production. It represents our capacity to do things well. We wanted to present it here, because the Mole and its Cinema Museum are the flagship of Turin. Just as Eurocargo is for Iveco». Pointing out the vehicle's strong points, Gaiazzi highlighted that the vehicle is perfect for the distribution sector as well as for the construction industry, for the owner driver as well as for large fleets, and at the same time it is the protagonist in all the specialisations that the market requires, from fire-fighting vehicles to refuse collection, to the transportation of people. With the advent of the Euro VI, then, it has improved way beyond the requirements of the regulations: «it is number one in everything that counts for the customer». Giuliano Giovannini, Product Manager, on the other hand, went through the main new features of the vehicle: the exclusive HieSCR technology patented by FPT Industrial, the new Tector 5 and 7 Euro VI engines, the 12 speed automated gearbox. He finished, then, with some practical examples of the versatility of the Eurocargo and with its TCO, which is still the best on the market. Lorenzo Sistino, Brand President Iveco, after talking about the birth of CNH Industrial and the opportunities for growth offered by this merger, recalled Iveco's volumes in the world and in Europe, highlighting the importance of the contribution Eurocargo makes, number one in Italy with 72 per cent of the share, number one also in Spain and
France, and second and third respectively in the UK and Germany. «One out of 4 vehicles sold in Europe - said Sistino - is a Eurocargo, and in Italy it is actually 3 out of 4. As we can see, after 22 years and almost 500 thousand units sold, Eurocargo is still in the fullness of its commercial youth. Customers continue to prefer our vehicle, generation after generation, because they know it is a great product». And he concluded: «Eurocargo demonstrates what can be done. And, starting soon, this message will be brought to Europe's capitals, with the pride of those who have Europe in their name, and in their DNA». Greeting the public, finally, was Franco Fusignani, Chief Operating Officer of Iveco, who concluded the vehicle's launch evening the with a very Italian message of pride: «The Mole - he said - is the symbol of the city where Fiat was born and where Iveco has its registered offices. From here “we will invade” Europe with our Italian character and we will build our history of success».

THE ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN by Stefania Castano
LANDSCAPES MAY CHANGE BUT EUROCARGO IS ALWAYS PERFECT
THE INTEGRATED COMMUNICATION CAMPAIGN FOCUSES ON THE GRANDEUR OF THE IMAGES. TURIN, MADRID, LONDON, PARIS AND BERLIN, WITH THEIR SYMBOLIC MONUMENTS, ARE THE BACKDROP FOR THE NEW VEHICLE The blue European flag is waving. A flaming red Eurocargo Euro 6, appears between the brushes of a car wash that open like a curtain and its journey across Europe starts. Striking images flow across the screen: pulsating cities, ports, markets, people working, public parks, roads winding between enchanting landscapes, by the sea and in the mountains. We can recognise the main European capitals by their monuments: first London, with the Houses of Parliament overlooking the Thames, then Plaza de Cibeles in Madrid, passing Place Vendôme in Paris, Berlin with the splendid Brandenburg Gate and finally piazza Vittorio Veneto in Turin, with the Mole Antonelliana. When the Eurocargo passes, the red elements light up in the predominant black and white, highlighting how the vehicle is in harmony with its working environment: the fruit in the wooden boxes of the market, the frisbee dropped on the ground by a boy, the helmets of workmen in the city, the red neon lights of the light installation that represents the series of Fibonacci numbers, created for the Luci d’Artista on the Mole Antonelliana. The strong points of the new Eurocargo Euro 6 are superimposed: design, comfort, versatility, safety, performance, reliability, and the best Total Operating Cost in the sector and customer services, namely non-stop round the clock assistance, 7 days a week and original parts. At the end of the video - made for the Iveco site, for social network sites and for special events - came the claim of the entire campaign for the new Eurocargo: “Perfect in every situation”.
Marco Monacelli, Iveco Brand Communication Director explained: «As we intended to point out during the presentation in Turin, and in the main Italian and European cities, Eurocargo is a product that was conceived, developed and built in Italy, and which is successful in Italy and in Europe. It is a case history of success: in its 22 years of history it has gained the trust of 500 thousand customers and, thanks to its versatility and its specialisation, in Europe it has become the reference commercial vehicle for its category. The whole communication campaign created by the Independent Ideas agency started precisely from these two concepts: on the one hand the “Europeanness” of the Eurocargo and its leading position in the Old Continent, and on the other hand its true essence, which is its capacity to perfectly adapt to every situation». It is no coincidence that, after the launch in Turin, the main Italian footholds in Europe were chosen for its presentation; first Madrid, then London and Berlin, where Eurocargo testified its Italian excellence. In addition to being in the product video, the landmark monuments of the European capitals
will be the backdrop for the Eurocargo also in the campaign in trade journals, which will start in December in the five major markets, and in the BTL material at the sales outlets: each country, in fact, will have customised catalogues with a photo of the reference capital on the cover. The predominant colour in all the advertising materials and merchandising is obviously red, the launch colour of the Eurocargo and the common element that ideally ties together all the communication. An attractive campaign with a strong impact, then, which relies on striking images and the starring role of the product itself. Monacelli continued: «All this material will also be used on the Iveco web sites, for the exclusive Eurocargo app that is available on Apple Store and, of course, on the most important social network sites: Facebook, where we have almost 400 thousand fans. Finally, we have created video clips to describe the strong points of the product to be used as technical analyses, available on Iveco Youtube channel». THE NEW EUROCARGO by Nicola Grande
AND SO A LEADER IS BORN
THE DATA SPEAKS LOUD AND CLEAR: EUROCARGO IS THE MOST RESPECTED MEDIUM VEHICLE IN EUROPE Due to its unique features, and a flexibility and range of outfittings that make it a multipurpose vehicle for all tasks. In difficult times like these, maintaining one's positions without losing ground to the competition is one of the priorities of business that allow companies to provide adequate margins of profitability. And, looking at the market data, the Eurocargo case is striking, since not only has it maintained its leadership in Italy where it is manufactured, but it is actually growing in many European countries. The table below shows the reference data for registrations of Medium Range vehicles in the first eight months of 2013 compared to data for 2012 (12 months). Compared to last year, there are sizeable increases in market shares in the major markets (Western Europe) where, compared to 2012, Eurocargo retains the number one position for sales with a +4,7% in Italy and a +6,8% in Spain and with a market share respectively of MARKET SHARE
72% and 50.8%. This is positive data given that the market share refers to the first eight months of 2013 compared to the whole of 2012. This is an encouraging result, the product of a skilful Iveco strategy aimed at the continual improvement of a vehicle that had already been created with the right characteristics for beating the competition. Also for this reason, Iveco has not made any aesthetic changes to the Euro VI that provide any benefits to the end users, but rather it has invested in its engines and in the driveline, introducing a new four cylinder 4.5 litre Tector 5 with 160, 190 and 210 HP, with improved performance respectively of 9 and 19 per cent, while the 210 HP is new. The 4.5 litre Tector 5 replaces the heavier six cylinder engine, while keeping the same features that benefit lower consumption and with maintenance that goes easy on the wallet.
The new four cylinder 210 HP engine s, then, provides greater power without having to switch to the 220 HP six-cylinder Tector 7. Another important introduction is the new 12 speed automated gearbox on the six-cylinder Tector 7. With regard to the Tector 7, it is now capable of delivering a maximum power of 320 HP, 5% more than the Euro V version. All the engines come with a Hi-eSCR system for treating the exhaust gas, which allows ownership costs to be kept down compared to the more complex and more expensive solutions chosen by the competition for reducing emissions. Small, but substantial modifications, then, to the Iveco medium vehicle, which make it once again a reference point for the market.

GUARANTEED CUSTOMISABILITY
The shortest wheelbase of the category is a very important advantage when talking about customisation. Body builders, in fact, use the Eurocargo as an optimal base for a multitude of short and medium range operations. Thanks to the extremely high degree of flexibility obtained with the ideal arrangement of the structural elements, it is one of the most valued vehicles also with the most demanding customers who choose Eurocargo for special modification applications. The combination of the structural components and the wide choice of engines therefore represents a significant value added for creating an ideal vehicle for any type of version and task.

TWO DAILYS FOR AFRICA
THE TWO 4X4 IVECO VEHICLES COVERED 11 THOUSAND KILOMETRES ACROSS SIX COUNTRIES. A RALLY THAT DEMONSTRATED THE RELIABILITY OF THE OFF-ROAD VEHICLES AND WAS ALSO USEFUL TO SPREAD THE CULTURE OF SAFE DRIVING Over 11 thousand kilometres in 45 days by two Iveco Daily 4x4 across South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. This is the expedition completed by two Iveco Daily 4x4 in six countries of southern Africa, with the purpose of displaying the qualities of the sturdy off-road vehicle. A journey that began in a Johannesburg and finished in Cape Town, which allowed the Daily 4x4 to be presented to dealers after the official début on the African Continent last April 25. Nimble, with an ultra-strong chassis and tried and tested mechanics, the Daily 4x4 is suited to working in all conditions. On the road, just as on the most demanding off-road conditions. It boasts, in fact, excellent approach and departure angles, as well as suspensions with rigid rear axle and with parabolic leaf springs with extensive travel. The three litre F1C engine has a power of 170 hp and a maximum torque of 400 Nm. The gearbox has six speeds and is equipped with a reducer, which is useful for an off-road. Moreover, it has an overdrive, so the driver has – between normal and reduced speeds – a good 24 forward gears, plus four in reverse. There are three differentials, all equipped with a lock to overcome the most challenging
obstacles. The transmission of the Daily 4x4 can also be fitted with a power take-off to drive the hydraulic pumps or various accessories. A second power take-off can be added to the reducer, choosing - according to requirements - from four different positions. The 4x4 Iveco, then, is an extremely flexible vehicle that is ideal for use in challenging environments. The presentation of the vehicle, however, was just one of the objectives of the expedition. In fact, the initiative, called Daily4Africa, also had a social purpose: to spread the culture of road safety in Africa. For this, illustrated leaflets were handed out to the population of the six African countries to remind them of the main rules for correct driving behaviour on the road. The focus on safety was not accidental. For some time now, Iveco has made this one of its priorities: technology applied to advanced safety systems is, in fact, an indispensable tool for protecting the driver, road users and the load. This year these themes were at the centre of numerous international activities, also following the start of the collaboration between Iveco, New Holland Agriculture and the International Automobile Federation (FIA) for the FIA Action
for Road Safety campaign, which teaches safer driving behaviour, in order to save lives on the roads around the world. The Daily4Africa saw the participation of the Team of the Turin agency Taurinorum Travel, specialised in adventure expeditions and trips. Every moment of the expedition was documented with photos and videos that were published on the main social network sites and on the dedicated site www.daily4africa. com.

BUSWORLD by Nicola Grande
THE NEW ROAD FORWARD FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT
A BUSWORLD IVECO BUS PRESENTS ITS STRONG POINTS: SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY, TECHNOLOGICAL EXCELLENCE, REDUCTION OF THE TOTAL OPERATING COST AND HIGH VALUE ADDED FOR THE CUSTOMER, IN TERMS OF QUALITY, COMFORT, DESIGN AND PROFITABILITY See you next time at Busworld 2015! The bus show that every two years captures the attention of an ever larger public closed under the best auspices. Busworld, in fact, is the most important sector show where the most interesting innovations are presented, and the 2013 edition registered a 6% increase in the number of visitors, demonstrating growing attention to public transport. At Kortrijk (Courtrai in French) in Belgium, Iveco Bus attended with a completely renewed range fitted with the new Euro VI engines. The stand of over 1.200 square metres exhibited the entire Iveco Bus range, with different variants demonstrating its enormous flexibility for adapting to the needs of tour operators
14
and local authorities. ÂŤThe renewal of the range - said Lorenzo Sistino, Iveco Brand President, - is the result of an enormous investment aimed at better meeting the needs of public transport operators who are increasingly not just looking at the quality but also at operating costs. At Busworld we were present with a strong message for our clients that fuel saving has never been easier. In fact, our brand new Euro VI buses provide fuel consumption efficiency in the 5-10% range with considerable improvements also in performance. This is something that we have achieved with important innovations regarding the engines and the architecture of the vehicles. The main new aspect concerns
the upgrading of the entire range with the new Euro VI engines built by FPT IndustrialÂť. The excellent Tector 6 and Cursor 8 Euro V EEV engines have been replaced by the even more efficient Tector 7 and Cursor 9, both Euro VI with Hi-eSCR (High Efficiency SCR), characterised by higher levels of power and torque. Moreover, the Cursor 9 is equipped with the latest Common Rail injection, installed below the valves cover. An exclusive FPT Industrial solution that allows noise to be considerably reduced, providing increased comfort for both driver and passengers. In addition to the new engines, the transmission lines and the weights on the new Euro VI range have been optimised
and upgraded by 5-10%, with respect to a Euro V vehicle, depending on use and version. Also Parts & Service attended Kortrijk with the Iveco Bus maintenance kits, conceived to provide both a professional and convenient service. Already available for the entire Iveco Bus range, they will soon be in the catalogue for the Euro VI engines.
THE 1,200 SQUARE METRE STAND DISPLAYED THE MAIN INNOVATIONS OF THE IVECO BUS RANGE AND THE NEW ELLISUP CONCEPT. BELOW: URBANWAY: 12 METRES WITH 24 SEATS AND THE 286 HP (210 kW) TECTOR 7 ENGINE.
“CUSTOM-MADE” BUS Iveco was one of the first companies to have faith in alternative solutions for urban transport. And with the new Euro VI engines it has been confirmed as an international reference point for buses. The availability of different engines has significantly influenced the choice of the ideal vehicle based on use, allowing you to “cut” the vehicle the way the client wants, taking into account the altimetric profile of the journeys carried out and the type of use, like, for example, frequent stops or quick journeys without any stops.
In addition to the natural upgrading to Euro VI regulations, the new engines provide a benefit in terms of consumption, as well as savings in terms of the product's Total Cost of Ownership. Speaking of alternative drives, at the moment there is only a limited number of about five thousand vehicles. Even these, however, will benefit from the significant improvement in terms of emissions deriving from the use of the latest Euro VI engines, thereby further increasing environmental benefits.
15
NEW URBANWAY: TECTOR 7 ENGINE AND 10% MORE PASSENGERS. Exhibited first at the UIT Exhibition in Geneva last May with the Cursor 9 Euro VI engine, the Urbanway was presented at Busworld with the 286 HP Tector 7 engine mounted in a longitudinal position. A technical solution that permits new applications responding to an even wider variety of operating conditions. The Urbanway is a powerful urban bus, both versatile and efficient. Compared to the Citelis that it replaces, it provides 10% more capacity for transporting passengers, benefiting the operator's profitability. Available in a wide range of configurations, the Urbanway is the new reference point for urban transport. It has an innovative, elegant design with solutions aimed at improving the on-board experience, like the bright open spaces and the LED interior lighting. This technology can also be found in the exterior lighting systems, with headlamps that integrate the LED DRL (Daylight Running Light) and a new rear lighting module with integrated LED used for the stop lights, turn indicators, side lights
and reverse lights. Urbanway is available with lengths of 10.5, 12 and 18 metres and can be fitted with two, three or four doors. The various fittings and a wide range of configurations, from basic to premium, provide more than 3,500 combinations, Iveco Bus also confirms its commitment to the sustainable mobility sector by offering the possibility of equipping Urbanway with an alternative compressed natural gas driveline with the Cursor 8 CNG engine, and for the 12 and 18 metre versions also the hybrid diesel-electric driveline. The CNG engine, certified Euro VI, allows operators to continue expanding their fleet of CNG buses using the same technology as Euro V / EEV vehicles. The Hybrid Urbanway Euro 6, on the other hand, will also be equipped with the “Arrive & Go” system that permits the bus to arrive at and depart from bus stops “completely electrically” (i.e. with absolutely no gas or acoustic emissions).
MAGELYS: TOURISM IN FIRST CLASS
16 THE MAGELYS PRO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS DEMANDED BY THE FRENCH CHNS (CAR À HAUT NIVEAU DE SERVICE) WHICH REQUIRES A HIGH OPERATING SPEED, FREQUENT GEAR CHANGES AND A HIGH QUALITY ON-BOARD SERVICE, IN A CONTEXT OF LOWER OVERALL OPERATING COSTS.
A polished design, elevated comfort and high level performance, this is Magelys. Its role as leader in the tourism sector is now reconfirmed thanks to the Euro VI engines, a reduction in weight of 500 kg and stylish details like the integration of a series of LED daytime running lights (DRL) in the new headlamps and LED headlights. Fitted with a Cursor 9 Euro VI engine, the Magelys has a new drive chain that meets the specific needs of customers, offering a choice of rear axle ratios that are best suited for the specific use. This solution allows you to keep the TCO down, while enabling you to configure the version that best suits the work. The Magelys Euro VI range is extremely versatile and is available in two versions for average travel distances (Magelys Line) and long distances (Magelys Pro). Moreover, features like access for passengers with limited mobility using a lifting platform, the large luggage compartment, Wi-Fi access, three LCD monitors, numerous 220 volt electrical and USB outlets for every type of digital device make the Magelys a vehicle tailored for every destination. On-board comfort and convenience are guaranteed also by the new “Cinema Seat System (CSS) with Flex-Action”, a system that allows you to set the seats in a safe position and to create ample room for passengers with limited mobility,or to insert tables for recreational or work use. The “CSS with Flex-Action” seats have been designed to be easily moved by simply sliding them on special rails.
First rate safety Magelys is at the top of the range also in terms of active and passive safety. In fact, it comes as standard with the ABS (Anti Lock Braking System) and ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) that optimises the traction and grip when accelerating. Completing the safety package is the EBS (Electronic Breaking System), which reduces the stopping distance and guarantees stability, and the ESP (Electronic Stability Program), which corrects the vehicle's trajectory in a curve to prevent swerving. Optionals are the ACC speed regulator (Adaptive Cruise Control), capable of keeping automatically a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and the LDWS (Lane Departure Warning System), which, uses an acoustic signal to warn the driver of an involuntary change of direction.
CROSSWAY: THE ONLY 13 METRE INTERCITY WITH 63 SEATS The Crossway confirms its European leadership (over 15 thousand Crossway sold since entry into the market until today every year in the Old Continent) thanks to the new Euro VI engines, innovative and versatile solutions that allow them to adapt to all types of work: from long distance to city and school transport. Available in three lengths (10.8, 12 and 13 metres) and five versions, it is the ideal vehicle for any use. Thanks to its versatility and its low running costs, Crossway is considered by sector operators as a true “money maker”. In the new Euro VI version, accessibility and manoeuvrability have been further improved. Also comfort is a reference point in the category and thanks to the new Euro VI engines noise inside the bus has been substantially reduced by 50% (up to 8 dB reduction depending on the version). Nothing has been left to chance, and the driver's seat, already much appreciated in the previous version, is even more comfortable and spacious thanks to the extension of the front overhang that allows the seat to be extended by a further 10 cm, a new dashboard and the possibility of rotating the driver's seat by up to 65 degrees.
The Range There are five versions available, all available with the new Euro V engines - LE (Low Entry), approved for city and intercity transport; - Pop, exclusively for school transport. Thanks to an innovative seating system, the 13 metre long Crossway has a capacity of 63 seats and is the only vehicle in the 13 metre market that has such a passenger capacity; - Line, for short and medium distance runs; - HV (High Value), configured for top of the range comfort; - Pro, the perfect solution for intercity and long distance travel, combining a high degree of accessibility and enhanced comfort.
THE HI-eSCR SYSTEM IS A WINNER ALSO ON BUSES Iveco Bus uses the Hi-eSCR system on the Euro VI engines lower emissions using an after-treatment process which does not require the recirculation of the exhaust gas (EGR). This technology is particularly suited for all buses with a rear engine, given the restrictions deriving from the cooling system, and for urban use characterised by low operating speeds and frequent stops. Given the same power, in fact, the EGR circuit requires at least 30% additional cooling. The end result obtained using this solution is a
reduction in weight and an increase in reliability. Thanks to the HI-eSCR, moreover, it is possible to save fuel using an optimised combustion process and the simplification of the entire injection and exhaust gas treatment system. As a result, the highly efficient combustion process also eliminates the particulate matter at the source, without needing the active regeneration of the particle filter, which allows you to obtain longer intervals between oil changes and lower TCO.
ELLISUP: THE FUTURE IS HERE
Teamwork Ellisup is a programme of the ADEME (French Environmental and Energy Management Agency) led by Iveco Bus in collaboration with a series of partners including Michelin, RATP (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens), EDF (Électricité de France), CEA (Atomic Energy and Alternative Energies Commission), the IFP-Energies Nouvelles, IFSTTAR (French Institute of transportation, planning and networks), ERCTEEL (Commercial and technical studies and realisations in the electric and electronic ambit) and RECUPYL (a company dealing with the innovative recycling of batteries and the valorisation of strategic metallic refuse).
Busworld was also the showcase for presenting the Ellisup project: a particularly innovative electric bus concept. The Ellisup, in fact, can travel connected to the electric line or autonomously, recharging its batteries in just a few minutes at the end of line. It is equipped with four electric engines supplied by Michelin housed on 4 of the 8 wheels. This type of motor uses an innovative combination of batteries and super-capacitors, devices for storing the energy, characterised by a high power density and great durability. The electric motors are powered using the power grid during the journey, while with the batteries there is an autonomy of 8-10 kilometres. A full recharge takes place at the end of the line using the pantograph and takes about four minutes. The small wheels allow more room inside, which on Ellisup is wider and more comfortable compared to other buses, and allows more passengers to get on and off. On-board comfort has been designed to provide a more pleasant experience compared to conventional buses, with very wide windows and numerous innovative solutions like a WI-FI connection with the aim, also, of improving safety and operating efficiency. Thanks to the technology that is used, the total operating cost of this type of vehicle is somewhere between a Diesel fleet and one composed of trolley buses.

CAMPERS AND EXCLUSIVE SERVICES DAILY AND EUROCARGO ARE THE IDEAL BASES FOR EN PLEIN AIR USE WITH COMPREHENSIVE FITTINGS, SUPERB ENGINES AND THE FACT THAT THEY ARE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. PLUS, AVAILABLE FOR CAMPER ENTHUSIASTS THERE IS A 24 HOUR ROUND THE CLOCK ASSISTANCE SERVICE COVERING THE WHOLE OF EUROPE Iveco participated at the fortieth edition of the Caravan Show in Düsseldorf and at the fortyeighth edition of the “Véhicules de Loisir” (VDL) Show in Paris, where it exhibited its top products. In particular the Daily, with three models: a 65C17LA, cab version, a 170 hp with an Agile gearbox, a 70C17LA CCS/P with a stripped chassis cowl, 170 hp, and with rear air suspension. Finally, a Eurocargo CC 80E25/FP with a stripped chassis cowl, 250 hp, ZF Eurotronic 6-speed automatic transmission. The company - the reference brand for the “high” segments of the market, with a wealth of features on vehicles with a total mass of over 5.2 tons - recently also created a department dedicated to motorhome and caravan enthusiasts, with the aim of reducing assistance time and keeping costs down to a minimum. Camper Assistance Non-Stop, in fact, is a toll-free number accessible on all Europe routes and active 24/7, which provides the immediate assistance of Iveco mobile workshops and that, in 80% of the cases, allows the vehicle to be repaired roadside with minimal stop times. In the event that the repairs require more than 24 hours, a service package is provided that includes a courtesy car, a hotel, coverage for the remainder of the journey and recovery of the repaired vehicle. Born to be equipped The Daily is the ideal vehicle to be transformed into a camper van. An excellent vehicle in terms of performance, comfort, safety and environmental impact. The ergonomic seating and the position of the controls reduce driver fatigue, while the entire technology applied to the air suspensions, like

that on the electronically controlled rear axle, absorbs the vibrations, ensuring silent and stable travelling. The steel chassis is extremely sturdy, reliable and strong and there is also a specific version with a lighted chassis and front suspensions made of a composite material.
The rear wheel drive and the differential lock, on the other hand, provide safety on slippery surfaces and excellent road hold. The Daily Camper also offers a wide range of 5 and 6 speed transmissions. Upon request, there is even an automated AGile transmission, which can be used in sequential or automatic mode. The Daily has one of the widest selections the market has to offer: from the 3.5 total mass versions up to the 7 tons with a single or twin wheel, nine engine varieties and three different types of transmission. Eurocargo for maximum comfort The Eurocargo range can provide an excellent base for transforming the vehicle. Flexibility and adaptability are its main characteristics, along with the strength of the chassis and bodywork, the high-tech engines, brakes and
electronic systems. All Eurocargo's on-board solutions have been designed to enhance the driving experience. The steering wheel with the ergonomic grip can be adjusted in height and tilted: the 470 mm diameter considerably reduces the effort the driver has to make. The compact dashboard means all the controls are at hand without having to take your attention off driving, while the controls are clear and intuitive like those of a car. The structure of the Eurocargo chassis, which is flat, free of upper obstacles and with numerous drill holes on the side members, facilitates the installation of fittings and any superstructures. The vehicle's manageability and superior performance support the vehicle on any type of route (city, motorway and off-road). The Eurocargo range allows for the most varied kind of versions (camper, motorhome, etcetera), thanks to eight different ground masses from 8, 9, 10, 12 tons, three Tector 6 engines and two types of cab (chassis-cab and chassis-cowl). CONSUMPTION by Christian Benna
IVECO AND GOODYEAR TOGETHER TO REDUCE CONSUMPTION THE STRALIS HI-WAY PUT THE NEW KMAX TYRES TO THE TEST ON THE NEW VAIRANO RACETRACK. SAVINGS REACH 10 PER CENT
20
The race against the high cost of fuel hurtled along the racetrack in Vairano, in the province of Pavia. On 9-18 September the new Stralis Hi-Way from Iveco were chosen to test the latest generation Goodyear tyres. It was on these tracks that the heavy vehicles baptised the KMAX and FUELMAX, the
was inevitable, given that the two brands have a market presence with top of the range products capable of lowering consumption and with a service network that allows customers to relax, even after the purchase has been made. With the new Stralis Hi-Way Iveco has
two product lines that have just been put on the market by the American multinational of Akron (Ohio), 62 thousand employees and 22 factories around the world. KMAX is offered as the new reference point in the market because of its extended mileage whereas the FUELMAX range has been designed to ensure maximum efficiency in terms of fuel consumption. Both lines have been designed for the steering axles, engine axle and trailer. The targets to hit are: optimisation of costs, fuel savings and ecological footprint. The encounter between Goodyear and Iveco
put a vehicle on the road that with an average journey of 150,000 KILOMETRES ANNUALLY and a holding period of 48 months, provides a fuel saving of over 10%. With the new Stralis Hi-Way Iveco has put a vehicle on the road that with an average journey of 150,000 KILOMETRES ANNUALLY and a holding period of 48 months, provides a fuel saving of over 10% compared to its predecessor. This saving comes from the use of technologies already adopted in the ECOSTRALIS versions with a real reduction
of more than 7% to which is added, on the Hi-Way Euro VI versions, a further 2% due to the optimisation of the aerodynamics (Cx reduced by 3%) and from the unique Hi-eSCR technology for treating exhaust gases. However, for a heavy duty vehicle with a green heart, equally efficient travelling companions are needed. The tests on the Vairano racetrack confirmed that the Goodyear objectives had been attained. The KMAX range offers mileage that is up to 35% better than an equivalent tyre, thanks to a new technology (IntelliMax Rib) that provides improved rolling resistance and better grip in wet conditions. FUELMAX, on the other hand, is the new range for lowering consumption, which is based on a lower rolling resistance (up to 15%), and is especially suited to regional transportation over long distances. Moreover, it is the truck market that is asking for greater effort from manufacturers to render fleet management less costly. According to a survey carried out by Goodyear on over 500 transportation companies, two-thirds (66%) considered consumption efficiency the most important criterion on the label.

VALUABLE SPARES
UE CATALOG 2013/2014
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE AFTER SALES SERVICE IS STRATEGIC FOR THE PARTS & SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHICH, WITH TWO NEW PRODUCT LINES, AIMS TO PROVIDE THE SERVICE NETWORK AN OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH IN A CONTRACTING MARKET
22
Value Line and All Makes, these are the two new spare parts lines that CNH Industrial Parts & Service has created to provide the service network with another tool for meeting the needs of customers. To recuperate profit on older vehicles, which for maintenance operations are more or less entrusted to general workshops, the Value Line programme was created. It offers parts that are cheaper than the originals, but in any event covered by a 12 month guarantee, and is targeted at vehicles produced up until 2006. Thanks to a continually growing catalogue and a specific supply contract, dealers will be able to directly access Power and Iveco Parts with a dedicated and specific classification for ordering parts without having to rely on alternative networks with any additional administrative and organisational complications for the supplies. Currently the catalogue only has parts for the Daily range up to the S2000 version and during 2014 there will also be Value Line products for other ranges. Many customers, however, have fleets composed also of vehicles from competing brands. This has given rise to the parts programme called All Makes, which has set itself the goal of gathering new opportunities for the network by providing maintenance services also to customers of other brands. In this case it is possible to carry out maintenance work on all light duty vehicles from the competition, of any age and with a complete coverage of all the fleet. For these new projects, Parts & Service has turned to a partner of proven experience and reliability: Magneti Marelli. The company, through its Aftermarket Parts & Services business, is an ideal partner for managing complex programmes like Value Line and All Makes. Magneti Marelli, in fact, has made available its expertise in spare parts plus an
organisational and logistics capacity that allows products requested by European dealers to arrive in 24/48 hours. Value Line and All Makes were set up in less than six months thanks to the proficiency of Parts & Service in identifying the most suitable products, and to the support of Magneti Marelli in managing the parts. In both cases, the components offered have good margins for the Iveco network. Also, as commercial policies the prices are in line with, if not lower, independent networks for a coherent and adequate positioning on the market. Special training is also provided for the network, in particular for the vehicles in the All Makes range, in order to guarantee an even more prompt and meticulous service for the end customer. The new All Power instrument, which
by
can be accessed directly from Iveco Parts using the single sign-on, also has the aim of providing the network not only with an electronic catalogue for the All Makes codes, but also a complete technical database regarding the light commercial vehicles of other manufacturers. 9,00 â‚Ź

THE AFTER-SALES SERVICE OF IVECO AT THE EUROPEAN LEVEL CAN COUNT ON OVER THREE THOUSAND POINTS BETWEEN DEALERSHIPS AND AUTHORISED WORKSHOPS. IN THE PHOTO ON THE SIDE, YVES GARIN, EMEA SALES VP OF CNH INDUSTRIAL PARTS & SERVICE.
THE PRESENTATION TO THE SALES FORCE The launch of the new Value Line and All Makes lines took place at the end of September in the splendid Hilton Garden Hill Hotel in Somma Lombardo (Varese), near Malpensa international airport. Presenting the projects were Dino Maggioni, president of CNH Industrial Parts & Service, who highlighted that dealers needed to generate sell out to create profit, and Pietro Berardi, CEO Magneti Marelli Aftermarket Parts & Service, who explained the success Magneti Marelli Aftermarket was having in the United States due to the collaboration with Mopar, the after-sales division of Chrysler. An example of a winning strategy with objectives very similar to those of the new commercial initiative presented in collaboration with Iveco. The more technical and operational aspects were dealt with by Francesco Iavarone and Silvia Corazzari, respectively Project Leader of CNH Industrial Parts & Service and Project Leader of Magneti Marelli Aftermarket Parts & Service, who explained in detail the factors that guided the realisation of the project at the product level, price, logistics, branding and communication. Particular attention was paid to training, because in order to offer a complete service for the vehicles of other manufacturers, the network needs, in addition to the parts, also adequate technical and commercial skills. The subject was presented by Marco Franza, EMEA Parts Network Development Manager of CNH Industrial Parts & Service, and Vincenzo Giaccone, EMEA Technical Services Operations and Development Manager Magneti Marelli Aftermarket Parts & Service. The day ended with a speech from Yves Garin (in the top photo), EMEA Sales VP of CNH Industrial Parts & Service, who wanted to stress the importance of these two initiatives for developing the business CNH Industrial Parts & Service and the huge opportunity that these new ranges represent for the network in generating sell-out. Garin also highlighted that in order to successfully bring these two ranges to the market in less than six months, the key words were attention to detail and speed, as evidence of the shifting of gear by Parts & Service to face the increasingly demanding challenges of the market.
