Im Mai 1924 rollte der erste Opel four/12 PS vom Band. Im Gegensatz zu den damals üblichen Automobilen war er klein und grün statt groß und schwarz und wurde deshalb vom Volksmund „Laubfrosch“ genannt. Der Ein-Liter-Motor brachte das Car auf eine Spitzengeschwindigkeit von 60 km/h.

Als Karosserievariante bot Opel beim four/12 PS nur einen offenen Zweisitzer mit so genanntem „Bootsheck“ und Segeltuchverdeck an. The 308 GT4 was developed from 1973 to April 1980. Originally branded &quotDino&quot, the 308 GT4 was Ferrari’s first V-8 manufacturing car.
