hen I was a little girl, my dad would go off to work early in the morning and come home late in the evening. As managing director of his own plastic manufacturing company, he was dedicated to his business and for a very good reason. He was devoted to us, his family, and wanted to provide us all with the best opportunities he could. I would watch him leave to go to work and give him a big hug and a kiss saying “Bye Daddy, have a good day and make lots of money!”. If I wasn’t in bed when he got home, I’d throw my arms around his neck when he walked through the door and say “How was your day, did you make lots of money?”. As a business owner now, I look back and for the first time can fully comprehend the extent of responsibility that dad felt and the sacrifices he made in starting and making a success of his own company. He was incredibly talented in business, passionate and driven. Many years have passed since then, during which I changed my career choices many times but two things remained abundantly clear; my Dad would always be there to support me and he was my inspiration for going into business. Dad had so many wonderful attributes that made him an extraordinary human being. In business and in life, he was the embodiment of style, grace and humility.

To my remarkable, irreplaceable Dad - this special book is for you, who taught me everything I know and without whom we wouldn’t be where we are today.

ith the arrival of 2013 we are excited to announce the new age of Ivy & Piper. Our design firm is an incredibly diverse business with a busy client portfolio and an ever evolving homewares line, in addition to our magazine. We have loved the experience and opportunities the magazine has provided and the inspiring designers we have featured whom we now call friends. However, in order to focus on our design clients and continue to expand our homewares line we are changing the way we keep in touch by combining the best of both our retail line and interiors portfolio. Ivy & Piper
