2016 Benefits Overview As an employee of the world’s largest equipment rental company, you will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits program and elect the coverage that will best serve you and your family. Below is a high-level overview of the benefits available. Coverage for hourly employees begins on the first day of the month following or coinciding with 30 days of continuous employment. Wellness Program

United Rentals’ Live Well Program, administered by Provant Health Solutions, offers the opportunity for health improvement and Medical Plan contribution rate reductions through a variety of wellness resources and activities, including tobacco cessation, health coaching and condition management. In addition, a paid Wellness Day is offered each year to all active, full-time employees after completing 30 days of employment.

United Rentals 401(k) Investment Plan

You can contribute from 1% to 80% of eligible pay, up to the maximum set annually by the IRS. Employees age 50 or older may make additional catch-up contributions. United Rentals will match 100% of the first 1% of eligible pay contributed, and 50% of the next 5% of eligible pay contributed. Employees identified as Highly Compensated (HCE) will be notified and subject to a maximum matching contribution of $3,000. HCE status is based off prior year earnings with the Company. This Plan is administered by Principal Financial Group.
