JAN. 2018: SIGNED AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE INSTITUTE AND SABIC. HE Dr. Ahmed Bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid signed an agreement between HIPF & SABIC as one of the company's initiatives to support the local content programs. SABIC will support the plastic manufacturing companies with the cost of training fees for its trainees at SAR 4000 per month. Grant the trainee at SAR 1000 per month. The current program is an excellent opportunity for plastics companies to benefit from the program of support and contracting with trainees at low cost. For its part, the Institute continued its mission to train and train young Saudis to provide them with the most important skills needed by the market through skilled trainers who have an engineering degree and long experience in the plastics industry. The training is supervised by Japanese experts with a long history in the industry.

This time it’s for R-group trainees. The purpose of the Japan Study Tour is for the participants to understand the Japanese plastic fabrication industry and Japanese way of thinking.

12th hipf technical fair S and T group trainees Feb. 2018: HIPF organizes technical fair every semester for the trainees. This time it’s for S and T group trainees. The theme was to display and demonstrate technical aspects of Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Film Extrusion, Pipe Extrusion Technology for the topic like Machine Details, Machine parts functions, Process Details, Material Details, Mold or Die parts, Auxiliary equipments etc. This is a real example of the outcome of teaching for understanding at HIPF.

S-group Critical thinking activity Critical thinking activity of understanding polymerization by carbon models Pipe Extrusion department organized a Carbon model activity under supervision of Mr. Joseph & SIs. The trainees made monomers for ethylene, propylene and vinyl chloride and then assembled monomer to make polymer. This way the trainees tried to understand how the catalysts work to initiate, propagate and terminate the polymerization reaction.
