HIPF is the first specialized institute to serve the plastics industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Established on 2004 and started its operation on September 2007 The Higher Institute for Plastics Fabrication was established as a non-profit institute in an agreement signed by the Saudi Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MOPM), and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC), the SABIC Eastern Petrochemicals Company (SHARQ), and the Saudi Petrochemical Development Company (SPDC Ltd.), Japanese partner of Sharq. The establishment of HIPF aims to train Saudi youth to participate as skilled technicians in the booming plastics industry in the Kingdom under the supervision of Japanese experts with more than 30 years of experience from the prominent the plastics industry in Japan. The institute offers a four-semester course that leads to a Diploma in Plastics Fabrication. The medium of instructions is English and trainings are conducted in industry-sized state-of-the-art plastics manufacturing plants. The Saudi Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) and various Saudi plastics companies provide tuition fees and salaries for trainees. Currently, we have more than 500 enrolled trainees who undergo intensive theoretical and practical training on plastics fabrication processes such as; Injection Molding, Blown Film Extrusion, Blow Molding, Pipe Extrusion, Sheet Extrusion and Thermoforming, and Plastics Test Methods.

HIPF is now officially ACCET accredited! Washington DC, USA: Congratulations! At its August 2014 meeting, the Accrediting Commission of the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET) voted to grant accreditation to Higher Institute for Plastics Fabrication for a period of three (3) years, until August 15, 2017. The Accrediting Commission commends the institution for its efforts toward meeting the Standards for Accreditation and for the numerous strengths reflected in the on-site evaluation team report, and for the progress demonstrated by corrective actions presented in the institution’s response. - ACCET statement. 4th Technical Fair
HIPF organized the fourth (4 th ) Technical Fair for K and L group trainees . There were 8 groups which displayed various technical aspects of the Blow Molding, Injection molding, Blown film and pipe extrusion technology. HIPF Management awarded the best displays based on the display organization, demonstration, creativity and har d work.
SIPCHEM RIYADH Graduation Ceremony
SIPCHEM Trainees Graduation ceremony was conducted on 6th June 2014 who successfully finished the customized course at HIPF.
Polymer Models Award: Certificate Awards for Polymer Models from Plastics Waste Project for K and L groups, who were given special project of making polymer models from the waste plastics bottles, caps and pipes. They did this task after the training hours and under guidance of HIPF Chemistry department.

Welfare and Trainees Activities 2014 HIPF Football Championship: ST 1 Place: ATLETICO MADRID 2ND Place: AC MELAN TEAM HIPF Official Football Team Participated in the invitational football tournament by RPI (Riyadh PolytechnicInstitute). HIPF bags the Fourth (4th) Place.
HIPF organized the Madinah trip last semester for the trainees.
Advisory Meeting: During these routine meetings, the Advisor discussed the last session performance of Trainees and guides them to take necessary corrective actions to do better in coming session.
Best Attendance Trainees : Trainees were awarded every month for maintaining 100% attendance.
