Judging
Judging integrity is at the heart of the competition, and all judging is carefully segmented by region/area/variety/style/vintage/type/age. Samples are prepoured in numbered glasses and judges never see a bottle, ensuring impartiality.
The judging panel comprises key personalities in the Asian wine and spirits trade, to ensure medal-winning products appeal to the Asian market. All of our judges were born in Asia, or are long term residents, ensuring the integrity of: Asia’s Choice, Asia’s Voice. After judging by double-blind tasting, all results are verified by KPMG, giving entrants confidence in the rigour and validity of the judging process.
The panel is flown in by Cathay Pacific. Judges are flown in from all over Asia to join their Hong Kong and Macau-based cohorts, including: Japan, India, Mainland China, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
