FABRICS BASED ON RECYCLED MATERIALS We use our starting material based on recycled plastic from PET bottles for example. These are collected, cleaned, ground, processed and then melted down to be spun into yarn. This results in a top-quality polyester textile, saving up to 50 percent of the energy used in the production process and around 50 percent of CO2 emissions.

CARBON FIBER FREE PRODUCTS We have chosen very specifically not to include any carbon fibre into our products. While we recognize the virtues of carbon fibre, we believe that it has a place in a very small niche in the bicycle sector and we do not support the excessive application of this non-recyclable material in mass production.

STOFFE AUS RECYCELTEN MATERIALIEN Unser Ausgangsmaterial für Recycling-Stoffe sind z.Bsp. gebrauchte PET-Flaschen. Sie werden gesammelt, gereinigt, zermahlen und zu einem Granulat verarbeitet, das in einem nächsten Arbeitsschritt eingeschmolzen und dann zu Garn versponnen wird. Auf diese Weise entsteht hochwertiges Polyestergewebe, bei dem bis zu 50 Prozent Energie im Herstellungsprozess und zirka 50 Prozent an CO2-Emissionen eingespart werden.

KARBON FREIE PRODUKTE Wir haben uns sehr spezifisch dazu entschlossen keine Karbon Fasern in unseren Produkten zu verwenden. Wir sind uns möglicher Vorteile von Karbon bewusst. Wir glauben aber, dass die Verwendung solcher Fasern nur im Nischenbreich notwendig sein kann und unterstützen die verbreitete Anwendung dieses meisst nicht-recyclebaren Materials nicht.

Unseren Arbeitsbereich bezeichnen wir als unseren "Playground". Die iXS Entwicklungsteams arbeiten in drei der weltweit führenden Testlabors. Vom Designkonzept zur CAD Bearbeitung, vom handgefertigten Gipsmodell zum digitalen 3D-Druck Modell, müssen alle unsere Prototypen auf ihrem Weg zum finalen Produkt strengen Anforderungen stand halten. Diese werden auf Aufpralldämpfung, Materialfestigkeit, Qualität und Sicherheit geprüft. Prüfungen auf chemische Zusammensetzungen, resp. schädliche und unerwünschte Zusatzstoffe sowie Entflammbarkeit sind dabei selbstverständlich. Und zum Schluss – der Praxistest auf dem Bike und im Gelände. Vom ersten Entwurf auf dem Zeichenbrett bis zum fertigen Produkt und zur Markteinführung, dauert es in etwa zwei Jahre. Wir lassen uns Zeit, das richtige zu tun. Sicherheit und Komfort auf höchstem Niveau ist unsere Ziel. iXS Helme und Protektoren zum Beispiel erfüllen Sicherheitsnormen wie EN für Europa, CPSC für Amerika, KC für Korea und ASTM für den DH Einsatz.

MYRIAM NICOLE TEAM MEMBER I live in Montpellier, South of France. I started riding when i was 5, my brothers were riding downhill and gave me this passion. Since 2017 I am a professional athlete and travel the world to race. in 2017 I won the overall world cup title and got 2 times the silver medal at world champs. ich lebe in Montpellier Südfrankreich. Ich fahre Fahrrad seit ich 5 bin. Meine älteren Brüder fuhren bereits Downhill und gaben diese Leidenschaft an mich weiter. Seit 2017 betreibe ich den DH Sport professionell und bereise dazu die Welt. 2017 gewann ich den DH Gesamtweltcup-Titel und holte bei der Weltmeisterschaft zweimal die Silbermedaille.

GEOFF GULEVICH I'm from North Vancouver BC. I have been competing in mountain freestyle events such as RedBull Rampage and the Crankworx series for the past 17 years. I have now moved my focus back to the mountains where my passion is, in all mountain and adventure travel. Ich bin aus North-Vancouver BC. ADRIEN LORON I'm from France and Spain, have been doing a lot of different sport since I'm a kid. I started with skateboard at the age of 3, than surf, then snowboard and BMX racing for 15 years, Motocross and MTB at last. I'm racing MTB events since the year of 2013 and I’m doing it professionally since 2014. Ich komme aus Frankreich und Spanien und übe seit meiner Kindheit viele verschiedene Sportarten aus. Ich fahre seit 2013 MTB-Rennen und mache dies seit 2014 professionell.

HANS REY I love mountain biking. I love adventure. I love to push boundries and find new places. Having fun on my bike was always the highest priority to me and still is after 40 years professional career. It is still a great time to be mountain biker. Born in the swiss mountains in a farming family at Flumserberg, I wanted to see more of the world than just the ranch. The bike enabled me to discover the world. Dagger models are equipped for strenuous use with additional protection from a two-component hard shell at the knee. The patented SqueezeboxTM system allows the protector to move when pedalling and supports a high degree of comfort of the Dagger. These protectors that were developed with Darren Berrecloth, also provide some protection for the shin and the upper leg. Die mit einer Zweikomponenten Hartschale am Knie zusätzlich geschützten Dagger-Modelle sind für härtere Einsätze ausgelegt.
