We will be providing full support via our own dedicated support team both before and during the event. We will have support vehicles travelling with us for the entire route to ensure the safety of everyone on the ride and also to provide mechanical and medical assistance if needed.

We have teamed up with Total Cycle Coach, : RAGLAN SLEEVE a previous British Cycling coach SHORT of the year to JERSEY : (CS TECH, AIRLITE, AIR PRO, SUMMER, EDGE) provide you with a training plan suited to your ability and to give you advice on all aspects of training. We will also be offering a Q&A session with Colin Batchelor for anybody that is involved in the ride.

LUGGAGE TRANSFER: No need for panniers or hefty saddle bags! Our support team will take care of all of your luggage whilst you are riding and you will arrive at your overnight accommodation with all you need for the evening ahead.

ACCOMMODATION:

FUNDRAISING HELP: We will give you ideas and opportunities for : RAGLAN SHORT SLEEVE JERSEY : If you are fundraising throughout the training. (CS TECH, AIRLITE, AIR PRO, SUMMER, EDGE) struggling to hit your target, we are on hand to give you some extra exposure to keep the pennies rolling in.

We will be sourcing accommodation for every person taking part in the ride. It doesn’t matter if you are with us for two days or the full 9. Your accommodation is included.

FOOD: Whilst riding long distances, correct nutrition is vital. We will do our best to cater to everyone’s dietary requirements and provide good balanced meals to get you through the tough days, and we might even throw in some cake too!

DISCOUNT ON NUTRITION: Sports nutrition (drinks/gels/bars) can be expensive, so we can help provide you with discounts on the sports nutrition you will need for the ride.

WATER: When you’re on a big ride you will be needing lots of water to re-hydrate. At home you can just turn the tap, but out on the road it’s what you carry or a bottle from the nearest shop. We will provide drinking water for the whole ride as and when you need it, so no need to stretch that last mouthful until you find your next drink.

NOT INCLUDED PERSONAL INSURANCE: We have public liability insurance for the ride, however personal travel insurance specifically for cycle touring is your own responsibility.

FLIGHTS: If you are meeting us for a later stage, or returning from part of your ride these flights not included. We can help with booking of flights

TRANSPORT FROM LUMINO TO MILAN: If you are with us for the final stage, we have the airport transfers covered! We’ll get you to Milan so you can be back at work ready for a recovery week on Monday morning. If you leave us before the end, we can offer guidance on the best airports to fly from.

BIKE TRANSFER: Don’t worry about bike transfer either, as long as your bike is with us the day before the challenge, we’ll take care of it until you need it, and then get it back to the UK afterwards. No heavy handed baggage handlers in sight.

TOUR 01 > DAY 01 LONDON TO CALAIS DISTANCE: 178km ELEVATION GAIN: 968m Starting from Lumino HQ in Harlow, Essex, the route takes us through the 10,000 year old woodland of Epping Forest, through the built up ateity streets of London and over the river Thames. Once across the river we continue our ride out of the suburbs and into the ‘Garden Of England’ Kent. Passing the historic town of Canterbury we finish the longest day of the challenge at the white cliffs of Dover.

TOUR 01 > DAY 02 CALAIS TO ROUBAIX DISTANCE: 124km ELEVATION GAIN: 76m An alternative to the spring classic of Paris-Roubaix, this leg takes us from Calais to Roubaix. Following the French-Belgian border across Flanders, we end up following the river De没le almost into Lille before a left turn into Roubaix.

TOUR 01 > DAY 03 ROUBAIX TO CHIMAY DISTANCE: 144km ELEVATION GAIN: 469m Leaving Roubaix we head straight into Belgium and along the river Schelde, eventually crossing back to France and riding through the Scarpe-Escaut Natural Regional Park. A quick stop in the city of Valenciennes before crossing the Mormal Forest back into Belgium and to the city of Chimay, concludes the first leg of the challenge.

TOUR 02 > DAY 04 CHIMAY TO ARLON DISTANCE: 144km ELEVATION GAIN: 701m From Chimay we ride back across the border to the French Parc naturel rĂŠgional des Ardennes, an extensive forest with picturesque views. Once out of the forest, we traverse across into Belgium and towards Luxembourg, stopping just short of the border in the town of Arlon.

TOUR 02 > DAY 05 ARLON TO NANCY DISTANCE: 152km ELEVATION GAIN: 309m Entering country number 4 we ride through Luxembourg and head towards the city of Metz, just over the French border. From Metz we follow the river Moselle, a tributary of the Rhine, for a traffic free 64km ride into Nancy.

TOUR 02 > DAY 06 NANCY TO COLMAR DISTANCE: 163km ELEVATION GAIN: 686m Heading south-east from Nancy we pass salt factories along the river before heading further south through Saint-Die-desVosges. We then enter the protected area of the Parc Naturel RĂŠgional des Ballons des Vosges. With its stunning views and winding roads helping us cross the hilly terrain to arrive in Colmar to end the second leg of the challenge.

TOUR 03 > DAY 07 COLMAR TO BRUGG DISTANCE: 126km ELEVATION GAIN: 347m On our Final leg of the challenge takes us south from Colmar over the border and into the home of Switzerland’s only port, Basel. Another 50km takes us into the City of Brugg, just 28km from Zurich and only 208km from our final destination.

TOUR 03 > DAY 08 BRUGG TO ANDERMATT DISTANCE: 126km ELEVATION GAIN: 3368m From Brugg we head south and start our journey through the Swiss alps. Following the infamous Gotthard pass we climb almost 1500m up to the ski resort of Andermatt. With amazing views we break the climb here and prepare for the final day.

TOUR 03 > DAY 09 ANDERMATT TO LUMINO DISTANCE: 81km ELEVATION GAIN: 642m The final stage of the challenge is perhaps the most picturesque. A final 600m ascent brings us to Lago del la Piazza between Chastelhorn and the Fibbia. At 2,106m the views are unrivalled, and the descent via the old twisting cobbled roads down the mountain is sure to provide the most breath-taking scenery of the whole challenge. The final 50km takes us down to 270m above sea level, and concludes the epic 1200km ride in the town of Lumino.

TERMS & CONDITIONS The Terms and Conditions detailed below apply to all entrants participating in the event ‘Lumino to Lumino’ organised and operated by Lumino Ltd. Completion of an entry form or purchase of an entry by every participant acknowledges acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the participant. 1 The participant accepts that the event they are entering is not a race in any format. Rider times will be published for individuals only and anyone considered to be competing against others, will be stopped from riding and banned from entering future events. 2 The participant is fully responsible for their actions whilst attending the event. This includes the event centre and during the ride itself. Lumino does not accept responsibility for the actions of the participant nor the consequences of such actions. 3 Each participant, upon signing the registration form, agrees that they are physically and mentally capable of riding the distance they have chosen. If, during the event, they decide to change their route and distance, then all consequences of this action are theirs. 4 Each participant accepts full responsibility for any fees or costs incurred or arising from the need for repatriation. 5 It is mandatory that all riders wear a safety approved cycling helmet complying with latest ANSI Z90/4 or SNELL standards. Any rider not wearing a helmet will not be covered by the event insurance and will be disqualified from the event and could be liable for damages if involved in an accident on that basis. The rider must accept this as a condition of entry. Lumino reserve the right to refuse entry to the event to anyone with inappropriate equipment or clothing. The participant confirms that the cycle/bike they are riding for the event and all of their equipment is of a suitable standard and state of road worthiness. The planning of the route does not necessarily indicate that the trail or road is rideable and the participant is deemed to make their own decision about whether to proceed on bike, foot or not at all. 8 Any planned route is for guidance only and Lumino do not insist that you use the exact route. Therefore, if the rider chooses to ride a section, it is entirely their own choice. If they choose a different route to avoid obstacles or sections they decide are beyond their capabilities, they do so entirely at their own risk.

9 You must obey all Highway Code rules. You are requested to ride in single file where appropriate and no more than 2 abreast at any time. Please be aware of your fellow cyclists and any other traffic. Please always indicate your intention to stop or change direction. All cyclists must adhere to and obey the Highway Code, local Bylaws and laws of England, Scotland, Wales and N. Ireland where applicable and extend all reasonable courtesy to other road and off road users. 10 Lumino reserves the right to shorten or alter the published route at anytime. Participants do not have the right to claim a refund if the route is shortened. 11 Riders must be considerate to other uses of bridleways, tracks and byways when riding off road. Upon seeing other users, such as horse riders and walkers, riders are required to slow down and pass with care. Where appropriate, riders should stop and wait at the side of the route for other uses such as horse riders to pass safely. 12 Each participant will be fully responsible for any fees or costs incurred or arising from an accident either involving or caused by the rider. This includes, but is not exclusive to, fees from Police, Air Ambulance, Fire and Rescue and the Ambulance service in and outside the UK. If the situation arises that you are not capable of making the decision to call the emergency services, the rider agrees that a member of the Lumino to Lumino team or a member of the public may call for them. In this situation, the rider still accepts the costs and consequences of such actions. 13 Each participant agrees to assign and grant the right and permission for Lumino to use and publish any photographs/film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant on any Lumino or Lumino to Lumino activity. The participant hereby releases Lumino from any and all liability from such use and promotion. The participant hereby authorises the reproduction, sale, copyright, exhibit, broadcast, electronic storage and/or distribution of said photographs/film/video tapes/ electronic representations and/or sound recordings without limitation at the discretion of Lumino. The participant specifically waives any right to any compensation they may have for appearing in any of the photographs/ film/video/electronic representations and/or sound recordings of the participant at a Lumino event. 14 The participants agree to inform the event management should they decide not to finish the course. Not doing so will mean that a search may be organised and the subsequent cost will be billed to the rider. 15 Event entry fees cannot be refunded or transferred under any circumstances. 16 Lumino reserves the right to cancel any event, due to extreme weather conditions. In such an event, each participants entry with be automatically moved to the rescheduled event. 17 It is a condition of entry for Lumino to Lumino, that riders are covered by a suitable level of travel insurance to cover the potential activity and liability involved in cycle touring in all countries entered during the event.
