Dr. Rajendra Prasad
l a i r o Edit “The clouds that cover sunshine cannot banish the sun. The sweetest rest comes after a wearisome day. We must live through the dreary winter if we want to witness the spring. The sweetest and warmest sunshine comes after the storm and the gloom.” What. A. Year! At this time of the last year none of us might have imagined that we would find ourselves in such a position, but still here we are making the best of a really difficult situation. One thing this lockdown has taught us is that in times of crisis we turn to art to fend off boredom. Art in the form of films, music, literature, etc. So we, here at the editorial board thought, “Why should the fun stop?” After all, any stressful situation can be leveraged as an opportunity to elevate your leadership to the next level. This year, our jobs were a little difficult than usual because as the game changed, the way to play the game must change too. So we bring to you the 2020 RV E-Magazine! Every year, in this part of the magazine the words “The past few months have been quite eventful” can be seen before addressing the relevant worldly matters. This time, those words turn into vast understatement to say the least. This year taught us the importance of good leadership; leadership in the field of science, in work, environment and challenges in tackling this situation of new normal. It was the leadership of Jacinda Ardern, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, who managed to set an example for others by eliminating the spread of virus in her country. This year, more than any other, we understood the meaning and the importance of life. The lives of the Bravehearts (the soldiers of our Indian Army fighting for our lives at the borders),migrant workers of our country got aid from Bollywood actor Sonu Sood (to go home and to get employment) and the lives of animals (citizens of Australia risking their lives to protect the wildlife from the fires that burned their continent down). Amid the COVID-19 crisis we saw doctors, nurses, hospital staffs, sweepers, bank employees , policemen and my other frontline warriors , doing tireless work even at the cost of their lives to ensure the wellbeing of others. Lets not forget about us, the lives of the students. The students who were supposed to give their board exams this year lived in uncertainty for a very long time, waiting for the council to find a solution, but amidst all of this our students managed to achieve laurels nonetheless. Omisha Shree topped in our school in ICSE exams by scoring a whopping 98.6%, while Ayush Kumar managed to score an amazing 99.5% in ISC Science Stream! Supreeti Kumari secured AIR 393 in Advance. How great is that! Even after all the chaos and tension our teachers never stepped back from their responsibilities. For them it was a huge challenge to get to know about the working of smartphones so as to continue teaching via online sources. Thanks to the teachers for never giving up hope and teaching us in every way possible. So cheers to the struggles we face right now and the struggles ahead! We will face it. We will fight it. At the end of the day, we will emerge victorious with our heads held high. We are RVians after all.

INTERVIEW WITH
ISC TOPPER
Ayush Kumar
Well, Congratulations for your marvellous accomplishment Q.
The obvious question right now is- What was your process? More specifically, what kind of routine, or perhaps the mind-set, did you follow while preparing for the exams?
Ans.
Thank you for your compliment. To answer your question, following a specific process, following a routine and having a particular mind set are different things. The process for the same is simple, just study patiently and try tounderstand the basic concepts with proper visualisation. As long as you study diligently, there is no need to follow a particular routine. I believe in completing topics rather than hours. One just needs to set his or her target for a day and try to complete it on the same day. As far as the mind-set is concerned, one needs to be positive and do his work without thinking of the outcomes and believe in the power of the Almighty.
Q.
There are some students out there who hesitate to ask their teachers questions regarding their doubts and rather prefer using the internet . Maybe because they are shy, or maybe they think that their questions are so silly and they'll be judged. What is your advice to them?
Ans.
All the students experience the same. We too have experienced it. The Students think that everyone has understood a particular topic and so asking about it would not be an activity which would be appreciated by all. But trust me, most people have the same doubts as you have and if one asks a particular doubt, it helps those who hesitate in asking a doubt. If one hesitates, he should approach the teacher privately to clear his doubts. The internet is a good source of information but conversing with the teachers and discussing one's problems with the teachers is a must.
Q.
As you can see, the situation of this world is rather hectic. What are your tips for the current 12 Std students on avoiding the mental health issues brought on by the situation and focus on what's ahead of them?
Ans.
Yes the world is fighting a deadly pandemic and we have to take care of ourselves but this should not bring life to a halt. There is no need to succumb to any kind of mental health issue. These times are a test of our patience. The one who will lose his patience in these times will not be able to give his best. One must try to be patient and study as usual and leave the rest in the hands of the Almighty.
Q.
What was the reaction of your parents and friends when they came to know about your achievement?
Ans.
My parents were very happy with my result. My friends were equally happy. The best thing that amused me and my friends was that Rajendra Vidyalaya was at the top this time.
Q.
What are your ambitions ?
Ans.
Presently, I am preparing for engineering entrance examinations. I aspire to study Computer Science in Engineering from a renowned institute. Once I am part of an institute, I will explore all the options. But for now, my prime focus is on the entrance examinations.
Q.
Students always ask how many hours a day do we need to study to score above 95% in 12th. What do you have to say on this?
Ans.
Studies are one such thing in which quantity does not matter. It is the quality that matters. I have already mentioned that one must believe in completing topics rather than hours. One must study for a less duration of time but he must understand and visualise all the concepts. One more thing, one must develop the habit of finding a question in each and every line that one studies.
Q.
What is your advice to you juniors about exams and about life?
Ans.
I want to advice my juniors to do well in whatever field they are interested in. Just following the herd should not be the case. If one works hard in the field he or she is interested in, he or she will surely give something precious to the world and uphold the name and fame of his family and his school in the world.
Q.
Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns problem into blessings and failures to success. Who would you like to express your gratitude for your success?
Ans.
First of all, I want to thank the Almighty. Nothing is possible without his grace. Secondly, I want to thank my teachers who have always motivated me and helped me out in my problems. Ever since I have been in this school, Dipti teacher and Sarabjit teacher have always motivated and inspired me. In my senior classes, Panda sir, Sushanto sir, Santosh sir, Jayanti teacher, Piyali teacher, Jitendra sir and all my other subject teachers have helped me a lot. I am grateful to them. Lastly, I am thankful to my parents, relatives and friends, who have always given a suitable environment to study and fulfilled all my needs.
Q.
Time management plays an important role not only in life but also in education. What piece of advice would you like to give your juniors regarding time management?
Ans.
Time management is very important, especially in std. 11 and 12. You have to maintain a balance between the school studies and your entrance examinations. If one does not manage his time properly, he will be in a fix from both the sides. One can make a time table of his own and decide upon the topics he has to complete on a particular day. Now whether a student spends an hour or six hours for the same, it does not matter. All that matters is that he has to complete them on time. Deduct some time from your recreation and add them to your studies.
Q.
Last but not the least what fond memories do you have about your school days.
Ans.
The memories of my school days are encrypted in my mind like a stone carving. It will remain in there for ever. Honestly speaking, I miss my school days. Those classes with lots of lessons and fun, those teachers with a friendly attitude towards the students and the companionship of my friends, I miss them all. I still feel like going to my school and attending the classes. School days are a bliss up to std. 10. Once we give our board examinations and enter std. 11, we enter a world with a lot of strife between school routine and preparation for the entrance examinations. Those two years were rather hectic. If one understands the basics and prepares sincerely and honestly for his or her entrance examinations, his school studies will seem to be easy and would not require much work. Only English would require a little hardwork. I hope that my school will give the same kind of the so-called support to such students as we had received.
INTERVIEW WITH
COMMERCE TOPPER
Khushi Agarwal
Q.
First and foremost, congratulations on your commendable performance. You have scored a whopping 94.6% .What was your reaction when you came to know that you are the ISC topper of Commerce stream of our school?
Ans.
First of all, I want to extend a my heartfelt gratitude for giving me this opportunity to vent my feelings. It is extremely difficult for me to describe my feelings in words. Nonetheless, it is a wonderful and overwhelming experience.
Q.
Whom would you give credit for this outstanding achievement?
Ans.
It is aptly said that nothing is impossible when you have the support of your teachers, friends, and parents and last but not the least the Principal and the Vice Principal. I was blessed to get their support whenever required. It is their support and motivation which has kept me ignited and helped me to accelerate my efforts.
Q.
It is said that long hours of preparation is the core requirement to outshine in the Board Examinations. Did you adhere to a particular time- table?
Ans.
I don't agree with the above statement. 'Long hours of preparation ' is not meant for everyone. Apparently, I prefer quality to quantity. There is no set method to study because everyone has their own procedure to prepare for the boards. What is necessary is to give your best effort. Yes, I did follow a time table which I modified from time to time according to my convenience. I gave myself a break whenever required as to excell one needs to keep one’s mind and body fit.
Q.
How did you de- stress yourself from the burden of such intense preparation?
Ans.
Honestly, I never felt burdened as I had myself opted for the stream I was interested in .So preparing for the boards was never a stressful task for me. As long as we enjoy our studies we don’t feel overburdened. I was always passionate about my subject and enjoyed each and every moment.
Q.
It is a general view that tuitions are a necessary evil. What is your opinion?
Ans.
Honestly speaking I never really required extra help and was quite satisfied with the pedagogy of Rajendra Vidyalaya. Teachers are always ready to help whenever required. Moreover, self -study is the most powerful tool.
INTERVIEW WITH
COMMERCE TOPPER
Q.
There are numerous distractions and social media is one of them. Did you completely insulate yourself from social media?
Ans.
I am not addicted to social media however I use it only for my advantage. During my boards I was not allowed to use my mobile and abided by the rule.. Overall, one should never let ones craze override ones determination.
Q.
What are you aspiring to become in future?
Ans.
Currently I am aspiring to become a Chartered Accountant. I will enrol myself in a reputed college and then carry on my preparations for CA.
Q.
Active participation in co- curricular activities is essential for holistic development. Were you involved in any such activity?
Ans.
I firmly agree with this statement, co-curricular activities are a must for every student as it helps in the holistic development of a student. One such memorable experience is the Inter school competition held at JH Tarapore, Maths -o- philic,a treasure hunt competition based on maths , it was a team work and our team won the first prize.
Q.
You are the beau ideal to your juniors. Any piece of advice you want to give them?
Ans.
You just need to follow a simple mantra and that is self-belief and confidence, if you have it then you have won half the battle.
Q.
Getting a 100 percent in maths is a commendable achievement. How did you go about it?
Ans.
For me getting a 100 was really a dream come true. I had always desired to score a perfect hundred in the boards.. I am very passionate about maths and when you are passionate about something you will surely give your best. I would also like to share a tip with my juniors 'Always be conceptually clear and consistent in your studies ''.

Q. Ans. Q. Ans. Q. Ans. Q. Ans.
Did you expect to be the school topper ? How do you feel achieving this milestone ? No, I didn’t expect to be the school topper but was looking forward to achieve a good percentage. I feel delighted and blessed on achieving this goal. Every success has a story of hard work, dedication and persistence behind it. Do you agree ? Yes, I do agree. From the very beginning of Std. 10, I started preparing for my Board examination trying to make each concept in every subject crystal clear. How did you resolve your doubts and ambiguities ? My school teachers have played a major role in my success. Not only my class and subject teachers but also the other teachers devoted their precious time in clearing all the doubts I had. How many hours did you devote in the pursuit to success ? I used to harness 5 to 6 hours of a day, in studies giving attention to every subject. Is there any key to success ? What method of preparation did you adopt ? I maintained regularity. One should be regular in studies. Every line of the books matter, so one should have clear understanding of the whole chapter. Revision also plays an important role in preparation for any examination. So I had spent the last two months for revising each subject. How did you schedule your entire revision ? I excogitated to revise atleast two subjects spending my weekends on solving previous year’s question paper. I made note of important points and paid great attention towards them while revising. Whom do you give credit for your achievement ? First of all, I want to give my credit to the Supreme Being, nothing is possible in the world without his will. Then I will like to give the credit of my success to my school teachers who have put their best effort in motivating me and also my parents who are with me in every step of my life. The say ”An achiever thinks big”. What is your next goal ? For the time being, my goad is to learn all the concepts for the ISC Examination so that I can add to the glory of my school. Which career do you want to choose ? I want to pursue the career of Computer Science and Engineering from one of the best colleges. The journey to success is not the same for every achiever ? What particular strategy worked wonders for you ? It totally depends on the method of one’s approach what matters is focus, hard work and determination. What will be your piece of advice to the present batch ? As we all know hard work is the key to success, so just work hard and have faith on yourself. What matters is focus and belief in one’s ability. Regularity is another factor which plays a great role in student’s life. Confidence in yourself will take you long. Have faith in the Almighty and put your best effort.

“You are the master of your fate and the captain of your soul. The Annual Sports day of Rajendra Vidyalaya was held on 21 December 2019 at the Bodhi Ground, Sakchi. The winter morning began with a reasonably warm temperature and the sun illuminating the firmament. The Chief Guest of the event was Mrs. Aruna Mishra, a renowned Indian boxer, gold medalist in Asian Championships, 2011 World Police and Fire Games but her list of achievements is never-ending. Her presence uplifted the spirit of the Rvians and infused within them a spirit of sportsmanship borne out of hardwork and determination. The drumbeat rolled , the band played and a high pitched voice issued a command. The synchronized swinging of arms and the sound of the thudding feet stirred within us, the unmatched RVian spirit. Our little masters of rhythm matched up their steps and displayed coordination and synchronization in a special drill display. This is what fairplay and spirit of sportsmanship is all about! The meet was anchored by Aditya Kumar Singh(11-C), Swati Mahato(11-C), Olivia Sarkar(11-A) and Srotam Bhattacharjee(11-B). Among the boys, Pratyush Rathore was declared the best athlete in the junior category and Abhinandan Jha bagged the title of the best athlete in the senior category. Among the girls, Aditi was declared the best athlete in the junior category while Richa Kumari was declared the best athlete in the senior category. The Blue House was declared the overall Champions. Therefore, it is rightly said that the gold medals aren't made of gold but of sweat, determination and a hard to find trait called guts.

The main theme of the event was the wide spectrum of culture and folklore of Bihar. Bihar, has given the world it's first Republic, nourished Buddha to enlightenment , given the world it's best University , with it's diverse socio economic stratum, which was the main embodiment of the program. The students including the tiny tots showcased their talents by performing variety of folk dance and songs from Bihar. The speech delivered by Mr Uttam Singh evoked a spirit of zeal and enthusiasm in every student's heart. He ended his speech by saying" Success is not an accident. FAREWELL 2K20 The End of an Era (Farewell 2020) It is never easy saying "Goodbye' and when you have the opportunity to bid adieu to the place which has been your second homefor years and in some cases decades, the task seems nearly impossible to complete. in that moment, you are rendered of the ability to accept that all of this is for 'one Last time'. So with their hearts heavy with the anticipation of the inevitable, and donning dazzling sarees & handsomely forma[ tuxedos, the students entered the premises of Rajendra Vidyalaya with smiles on their faces & a promise to themselves to enjoy it to the fullest 'one Last time', at the Farewell 2020. The event started off with the usual lamp-lighting ceremony and a very motivational speech from our beloved Principal Ma'am. The host of the event was our lovely and hardworking, Swati Mahato (12 C) who managed to make the audience revisit the nostalgic highs and Lows of being the students of RV. The cheerful reminiscence of even the earliest childhood school memories, Like distributing sweets with best-friends during birthdays, to some memories which might be quite recent, like a hanging out with Shankar's Samosa, really managed to Lift up the spirits of everyone in the audience, whether it be students or the teachers. The Digital Club of RV presented an amazing throwback video made very artistically, while the Cultural Club presented the glorious cultural programme for the occasion. It was started of with a bang by Anupam Bhadra performing a rap song dedicated to the school written by him! There was also a colourfully brilliant dance performance presented by the junior class students for their predecessors. But the juniors weren't the only ones participating in the fun. The seniors also took to the stage. The class representatives spoke to express their gratitude, to reminiscence on their nostalgia and to honor their memories. The band members also sang and played their "Swan Song' for our school. There were many emotional moments and some funny moments. lts safe to say that everyone enjoyed themselves. But at the same time they didn't hesitate to let their tears show as well. The seniors were given mementos in recognition of their good work. Then the Badge Handing Ceremony began. It was time to pass the crown. One-by-one the students of the present 12 std were announced as the respective head of the Student Body Council. They accepted this privilege with their heads held high and their flags held even higher on that note the programme ended. But the end for the others didn't mean the end for the seniors. They'd further go on to enjoy their Last time together inside the school premises. They'd eat together, write messages on each others T-Shirts and dance on the rhythmic beat of the DJ together. But all good things come to an end one way or another. With the fading last note, of the last song of the night, RV Batch 2019-2020 closed a VERY important chapter in their books. We will miss you seniors! 2020
A guide, a parent, a counsellor a friend, A river of knowledge which never ends, Strict, care and rebuke, They will do all these for good. School is our second home is true, As teachers makes us feel not less than home Small and tiny things taught by teachers will also give you some lessons Sometime we get angry, when we see less marks in paper, But there also lies a lesson, Life will always give you what you are entitled to We all, thank you for all your contribution in making us a better person we thank you for being there We thank you for being so supportive in our life
The Invisible Devil We can’t go to malls, Nor can we go to waterfalls. Because the virus is scaring,
Sending our spines into shivering. If you have to go out, think twice,
Wear your mask, be wise. After returning, sanitize,
And wash your hands thrice. COVID – 19 is the name,
It is playing a hide and seek game. By following the rules,
We can ensure endgame.

A letter to the Dreamer in Me Dear little me, Remember to dream of the stars far , far away. For out of reach though they might seem, You will find yourself among them someday. Dream larger than life, Dream in vibrant colours, Prance around blossoming gardens, Your smile brighter than all others, Make sure to be the sunshine wherever you are. Dream without regrets, For in dreams, you enter a world of your own, Places where the sun never sets, Place that is yours and yours alone.
For only in dreams, You will be truly fearless, truly ever free. Speak the truth, turn wishes to reality. Miles you will have to go, you ‘ll see… You are a dreamer, my dear little me, For every mysterious door, you hold the magical key!
Dear little me, promise me: You will chase the stars , run wildly,
I've got e-m@il The postman doesn't knock at my door, Yet I have e-m@il of that I'm sure, I don't know my pincode, That, anyway is a fashion out of mode. I haven't sent a letter by post in one year, Yet I communicate with all those who are dear. Outside my house you don't find a mail box , But does it matter? And do 1 care? My letters are on my computer screen, Getting messages in my cherished dream. With the click of the mouse, 1 talk to my brother in Florida Or a battalion of long lost friends, one even in Costa Rica. But there are times 1 go pale, When 1 have to shift through countless e-m@il. Woe betide you if a virus you release, Your m@ il inside the computer will freeze. I can't figure out if e-m@il is a boon or a bane, But without it life would never be the same. About this dotty dot com, 1 confuse, 1'm crazy, Though mom screams, Oh! it has made you lazy. Dear God! It's neither a male nor a femate, The best thing you gave us is the e-m@it.
My Heart's Treasure Oh ,what joy it is! To have a friend like you. For giving the strength The way you do. For lifting me up When I'm falling down. And putting a smile on my face When I'm wearing a frown. Thanks for being there and helping me grow. Your friendship means a lot, This I'd like to tell you bro. The best of friends can change a frown. Into a smile, when I'm falling down. The best of friends will understand, Your little traits And tend a hand. The best of friends will always share. Your secret dreams will always care. The best of friends worth more than gold. Give all the love a heart can hold.
You-Yourself is the creator of the world around We all know that if anything that has a faster speed than light is our thoughts. This moment we are dreaming about our childhood days , the next moment we are in the thoughts about the extreme possibilities of our lives. According to Shakespeare, the world's a stage and all the men and women are merely players ,by this he means that in our life we play different parts and what ma ers is that how we play it . The kind of thoughts we have decides the kind of life we would live. For a person who sees himself in the mirror, never ever thinks about the negative features of his face but those features are brought to light by the people around him. The face is ours, the mirror is ours and how we project ourselves is what matters. Thus, we should not be influenced by what other people think about us because we can't change their mindset but instead learn to ignore such advances . The life which we possess, might be kept to ourselves or handed over to others, is our choice. Whether we stay melancholic or find happiness even in our sorrows, the understanding is ours. The direction in which the wheel of our life should move is also a solitary decision .The painting of our lives is our own creation and reflect our personal interpretation of it. What colours we put in shows how life appears to us. We have the colours, we have the paper , how much colour we put and where we put, the choice is also ours. Thus, Helen Keller has rightly stated - " When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but oſten we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”
POLLUTION Seeing the world going down, I always think and frown; “What happened to the world which was earlier crowned? With all the natural occurrences and beauty around. “The air in the atmosphere gives tears abound, We are unable to see the beauty of a small town. “Can't we walk through the streets instead of using luxury to get to the best—known? Are we so dumb, deaf and blind that we cannot speak, hear and see what we are going through now! Cutting trees for comfort will give you haunted days and nights aſter countdown, You will be guilty for the things which are still unknown, Be aware that the Universe will give a turnaround For you have devastated it and have not slowed down We can still improve our condition uptown; By using fewer vehicles and not letting the glaciers melt down, For our deities have done their duties, Now we have to keep the world safe and beautiful. Now begins our duty.
THE SEARCH I was the last person on earth, walking across a desolate wasteland. One day, for the first time, a voice came through my walkie talkie. “Hello?” asked a determined young female voice. “Is anyone out there? Does anybody copy?” “My name is Alan Parker.” I reply to the communicating device. “I copy.” “Oh my God! Yess!” she said, frantically with a tinge of excitement. “Whoever you are, wherever you are, could you please come to me? I’m in one of the buildings of the Ricin Company in Sector 42. There is a white cloth draped on one of the East Wing Tower balcony. That is where I am at.” Ah, the Ricin Company, the root of all problems that I face today. Or should I say, ‘we face today’, considering I’m not the only man alive on this planet anymore. Though in hindsight, I think it was very arrogant of me to think that in a world of 7 billon people, no one had the ability to stay alive and make it out of the Apocalypse except me. “Okay, I’ll be there.” I reply before I start walking towards the direction of my new destination. January 3rd 2645, the day one mother defied the words of the world and created the cure for all sorts of disabilities in the human body. Its funny how parents refuse to leave any stone unturned when it comes to giving their children the best life they can. When you have a child, you have responsibilities. But when you have a child who cannot walk, whose entire life seems to be permanently situated on a wheelchair, your responsibilities increase tenfold. So with all the responsibilities, and the pain in her heart, Dr. Miranda Turing turned to the only thing, she trusted to help her find a cure- science. She worked and worked and worked until she finally created a serum which could help her lovely daughter Amanda walk. So the serum named, VX-12 was injected in her. And the results were marvelous. Not only did she gain her legs back, there were other improvements in her body as well. She could now bench-press 20 tons like it was child’s play and her IQ had increased as well resulting in her being able to solve difficult math problems in fraction of a second. She had really become the ideal definition of a human being. Results like that, got Miranda a lot of buyers for her product and in the end, she sold the formula of VX-12 to Ricin who mass produced it for the general public. Now, that’s where all the troubles began. The people started to ask that why should only the disabled people have the privilege of gaining such abilities. Riots and Protests broke out all across the Planet. The public would rather burn their world down to the ground than let their greed dissipate. So the Leaders of the world had no other choice but to make the Serum available for all. Demand like that brought Ricin a lot of money, which was used in improving the serum. They thought that if they improve the formula further, the public will come back once again for their product. They created VX-134 and started human testing after the animal test subjects gave a promising result. Unfortunately, what worked on the animals did not have quite the effect on humans, resulting in the human test subjects being turned into Mutant Abominations. Ricin tried to terminate the VX-134 program and keep it off the news papers, but before they could initiate termination, the test subjects declared dominance and took over the company. After all, they might be deformed abominations, but they were deformed abominations who were tired of the vivisection that they were put through. With the combined super-strengths and the twisted brains of the five test subjects, they managed to bring an already wounded planet to the brink of death by waging war on the people who wronged them, before the poison in their blood brought their lives to an end. After that war, famine and pestilence took over. It was ironic how the world once hungered for power that they didn’t need, and now it was dying due to starvation. I only survived because of my military training and the fact that I belonged from a rich family and didn’t have to worry about food or shelter. Though the only reason I am being able to survive now is my training. Our commander, in the army, taught us how to live through even the direst situations in life. And that’s what I did. I lived through the Apocalypse.
I can’t help but wonder how the person on the other side of the walky talky managed to stay alive all this time. Is she military trained like me? Or is it money? No, money could only help her stay alive for a while, after that she’d need to find a way to provide for herself, find food, scavenge. I guess we’ll know her story once we meet her. I reach the tower. At first, I was unable to spot the while cloth she mentioned, but when I do spot it, I let out a long sigh at how high up it is. I’ve been walking for hours, I don’t think I have the strength to climb up, what seems to be, 30 storeys. I turn on my walkie talkie and speak into it, “Hello, whoever you are, I am the foot of the tower.” “Wait right there. I’ll come to you. You sound exhausted” She said. Her voice sounded clearer than the last time we spoke. It was probably because of our now close proximity. She came running down the stairs and as soon as she saw me, she extended out her hand with a big smile on her face. “Nice to finally see a human face again,” I say as I smile and shake hands with her. “We’re not alone”, she says. “Come let’s sit for a while and let me tell you what I plan to do.” As I follow her over to a nearby sofa on the ground floor, I notice how well built she is. She is tall, perhaps taller than me, and buff with a lot of well defined muscle. Maintaining such physique in a world like this should be impossible because of the lack of food nowadays. To say that I am presently surprised at the moment, is an understatement. “Let me start by introducing myself”, she beings speaking. “My name is Amanda Turing. And we-“ “Wait, Amanda Turing?” I interrupt her, in my astonishment. “THE Amanda Turing?” “Yes,” she says with a smile. “The very popular Patient Zero.” “Oh My God”, I reply. “Yes, well, when the war broke out, my mother did the only thing that she had been doing for all her life- protect me. Without her, even with my powers, I would not have been able to survive the Apocalypse. Unfortunately, my mother did not make it, but I did. And I started searching; searching for people like me, others who received VX-12, since we have a higher chance of survival. And I did find a few people in the files of this company, people who might have survived. But I have no way to communicate with them. My only mode of communication is my walkie talkie and I have been trying to find a voice on the other end of it for months. See, this tower right here is the ground zero, where it all started. If I wanted to find answers I would find them here. So I could not move, in search for a signal, I just had to wait for someone to come to me. And you did. You are not a Super Human like me, but it’s a start.” After that explanation, I had to take a breath to absorb all the information. After that, I finally asked, “What do we do?” She smiled at me and said, “We save the world.”

Lying on earth , I shoot for stars It takes a lot of valour , to aim so far Troops of clouds trying to block my sight Ain't no faith in fleeing , I believe in fight I know it's still there , peeping at me Waiting for my decision , to change my vision The closer I get , it sends rays to judge me These rays can't make me blind , coz Only God can judge me... Gusts of wind command my eyes " shed them all ". I ask " Who's permanent here ? Stars too fall Life's a hope , always gives a reason to try for If you can't live for something good, better get a good person to live with. People come and say , they say and go You get that type , the type you sow If you don't have reason, hunt for cause When you find the reason search for flaws But the stars still staring at me Thinking they were unable to judge me As I revealed the truth earlier , that Only God can judge me...
