Cleaning Equipment Checklist:
Start by removing dust from curtains, blinds and window panes. You can use a dust pan brush or broom. If there are multiple layers of accumulated dust, then take warm water and soap solution in bucket and using a rug wipe it off.
Once the dust is removed from the window, spray window cleaning solution on windows and clean it with a sponge. Make sure that you use eco-friendly, mild cleaning solution which doesn’t damage the paintwork.
Once the windows are clean, squeeze excess water. Start from the top and making your way down. Regularly wipe the squeezing blade clean with a rug to avoid transfer of dirt on the surface.
Using a damp microfiber cloth, remove any remaining water off the glass. Dry the windowsill beneath where water may have dripped down.
Though sunlight makes it easier to locate the dirt, it also makes the soap and cleaning solution dry on the window quickly, leaving streaks behind. To prevent this, choose a cloudy day for your cleaning sessions. Clean your windows at least once in 3-4 months. Hope this quick guide will help you in your DIY window cleaning project.
