From whites to sparkling and great reds, France supplies superb wines, worldwide, many of which are multi-award-winning. For this quest, I searched for a family producer of well-presented high-quality wines, with previous generations' knowledge and experience.

Productions of Ferraud wines have been ongoing since 1882. The wines produced express the personality and characters of the different appellations and areas of wine productions.

Emphasis on taste, quality and consistency are paramount and many awards have been won by this company for their exceptional wines.

The following are some selections, from their impressive range.P. Ferraud & Fils Saint-Véran La Chardonneraie I found as an excellent white wine. The designation of Saint Véran was recognised during 1971, with Pierre Ferraud being the main character for its promotions and recognitions. Utilising the Chardonnay grape variety, to great advantage, this wine will not disappoint and has many followers.

A delightful bouquet precedes the great mouthfeel. Superb with white meats, fish and seafood dishes. P. Ferraud & Fils Brouilly Domaine Rolland, located amongst their splendid wine range is a very popular red production. The deep ruby-red colour entices the wonderful bouquet and mouthfeel, to follow. This powerful and well-balanced wine has a great palate sensation and finish.

P. Ferraud & Fils Morgon Domaine Ferraud Les Charmes is a further example of this producer's quality wines. Again, the bouquet satisfies the nasal experience, very well indeed. The flavours on the mouth come through as rich and fruity.

This full-bodied, robust red wine is trendy, has a long finish and many devotees. Other superlative wines include their Beaujolais Villages Les Merrains and Saint-Amour Cuvée Ensorceleuse.

The red wines, utilising the Gamay grape, are great with red meats, etc. Very popular, they are chosen regularly and grace many dining occasions repeatedly.

A company dedicated and committed to producing high-quality wines that will satisfy and impress. www.
