J
udge Mablean was born in Hazelhurst, Mississippi, 40 miles outside of Jackson, the capital of Mississippi. She was the nineth child out of ten children. At the age of 6 years old, Judge Mablean moved to Los Angeles, California where she lived with both of her parents and siblings. Judge Mablean grauduated from high school with honors. She earned a four-year academ-

ic scholarship to Pitzer College in Claremont, California. After graduating from college, Judge Mablean married and became a mother. During that time she had a series of jobs such as investment banker, correctional officer at the Federal Women’s Prison Terminal, Island, California and as a legal secretary. While she was working during the day, she also attended night classes at Whittier Law School. After graduating
from law school 1982, Judge Mablean opened her own law practice specializing in personal injury and family law. She gained a reputation for being an outstanding Family Law attorney, particularly in the area of Divorce Law. Due to her reputation as an outstanding divorce attorney, Judge Mablean was approached to be the starring judge in the syndicated television show “Divorce Court”. Judge Mablean starred on Divorce Court for 7 seasons.

Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors graduating within the Los Angeles County. She is also a well sought after speaker who does speaking engagments throughout the year. She is able to spread her message of strenghting families and educating minds. Judge Mable also started a knew television show called “Justice With Judge Mable”.
