PROJECTS 2013-2014 CHANGE HAS BEEN A CENTRAL THEME AT JACKSON PREP OVER THE LAST YEAR. We have said goodbye to an icon who was part of the very fabric of this school. We welcomed a new head of school whose bold vision for Prep will carry us into the future, allowing us to be known and respected in this state and beyond. And our campus has expanded and added state-of-the-art facilities that benefit our students and our community.

One constant at Jackson Preparatory School, however, is the support of the parents, grandparents, students, teachers, and alumni that comprise the Prep Family. That support is evident

in these pages because without it the Patriot Club would have been unable to fund the projects needed to enhance our school and our students’ overall educational experience.

GLOBAL LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE Funds from the Patriot Club support the GLI, an original Prep program that instills leadership and community in our students.

BROADCAST SUITE Thanks to the Patriot Club, Prep students now have access to stateof-the-art broadcast and editing equipment. The broadcast suite also has the ability to broadcast all of Prep’s home games, regardless of the sport.

ONLINE MATH RESOURCES The Patriot Club was able to purchase web-based math software for our 7th and 8th graders.

LABS WRITER’S BLOCK

The provides oneon-one consultations with student peer coaches at any stage of the assigned writing process.

Led by Dr. Lisa Whitney, the goal is to have not only better papers but also more confident and effective writers.

Donations to the Patriot Club funded upgrades to Prep’s junior high labs and the language lab.
