F A Q
HOW DO I FIND MY CAMP? Staff will greet campers and provide maps and staffers to guide campers to camp locations. Inform your coach/camp teacher if you are carpooling with other campers. See page 23 for more about drop off and pick up. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? Campers should dress for fun and the summer heat. We recommend wearing a t-shirt, shorts, sneakers, and socks. WHAT SHOULD I BRING? We encourage campers to drink water throughout the day. Campers are encouraged to bring bottled water labeled with their names. Staff will provide opportunities for water breaks. Campers participating in outdoor activities should liberally apply sunscreen before camp. Waterproof or water-resistant sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher is recommended. Email the coach/teacher in charge of the camp your child will be attending with any questions or concerns. Email addresses are provided in the brochure and online at the end of each camp description. WILL THERE BE SNACKS AND BEVERAGES? A concession stand, located in the gym foyer, will be open with a variety of snack and drink options for purchase. HOW DOES WEATHER AFFECT MY CAMP? In the event of inclement weather, outdoor camps will meet in an alternate location. If the schedule needs to be altered due to severe weather, you will be notified immediately by email. WHAT IF MY CHILD BECOMES SICK OR INJURED DURING A CAMP SESSION? In order to ensure the health and safety of our campers and staff, we request that campers who are ill stay home if he or she had a fever within 24 hours and/or is in the contagious phase of any illness. If a child becomes sick or injured on school premises, staffers will notify the parents. WHAT IS THE CAMP CANCELLATION POLICY? In the event a camp must be canceled for any reason, registrants will receive a full refund. If, after a camp begins, it becomes apparent there are medical or emotional needs Jackson Prep cannot accommodate, or if a camper is uncooperative with staffers or detrimental to other children, the camper may be removed from any current or future camp without refund. In the unlikely circumstance where refunds are appropriate (with the exception of canceled courses), a $25 processing fee is required.
