BELU BELIZE COFFEE BRANDing May 13, 2020 WON SILVER AMERICAN ADDY award For this project, I had to select a country to design a coffee shop brand that had to include, 3 coffee bag designs, a menu, and a lookbook for the brand inspiration. For the country I decided to pick Belize which is a bright and vibrant country. In my research I found out that Belize was known for their traditional farming and make alot of their tools and evryday items from hand. For the design I used linomelien print as a design element to represent the Belizian handmade culture. My Design is also influenced by the Garifuna culture in Belize which is largely inspired by both Spanish and African culture. Each of the bags are represented by what Belize is know for such as agrigulture, music, and dance. Here I’ve also have two spreads of the Belu Lookbook which educates the viewer about the culture.



magazine spread:whitewashing in hollywood why representation matters november 20, 2019 Whitewashing in Hollywood is a huge problem within the moviemaking industry which is why I wanted to use the opportunity to design a magazine spread that represent how people of color are over looked within when it comes to casting roles that are suppose to be meant for that particular race. For this assignment I’ve used a photo manipulation technique by using magazine cut-outs , transfer modge podge, and rubbing alcohol to give the illustration a transition effect.



awarness poster: Am i Pretty now? Sept 20, 2019 This is a campaign poster design that portrays the dangers of skin bleaching which has been a common practice within the black community. Skin bleaching is the chemical process of changing a darker skin tone into lightening by using harmful ingredients in the process. I used Brown paper bags as a meduim to represent the “Brown paper bag test” which was a discrimation against African Americans during the JIm Crow Era.



Dear Black Girl: book series April 2021 Dear Black Girl is an is a Affirmation book series for black girls from the ages of 6 to 12. This problem is, is that black representation is not shown as often in the media such as children’s books which in turns causes African children not see themselves as worthly enough when it comes to certain things like their hair, skin, or features. Thus why it was important for me to illustrate 3 different book covers, book sleeve, social media ads, promotional poster, and a motion graphics advertisement.

costa rica travel guide Series October 2020 Costa Rica is home to the most beautiful destination sites in the world. For this project I decided to design 3 different promotional posters and a travel guide book to describe and represent the Costa rica homeland. The posters represent the agrigulture/plant life, culture and dance, and the beach life. Above I have a spread of the travel guide that goes with the posters. Sakura sparkling soda 4 packs May 13, 2020 Sakura is a Japanese inspired sparkling soda that portrays 4 different flavors which include:Lemonade, orange, lime, and grapefruit. Throughout the branding design process I wanted my target audience to be teens to young adult women. I needed the design to be as “feminine” as possible to my target audience can be intrested in the brand by using floral illustrations and keeping my colors very vibrant throughout each 4 pack.



“fear” photography series May 13, 2020 This is a photography series that illustrates the emotion of Fear and intensity. Throughout each of these 3 photography pieces, I tried to make them all coesive to each other by making them all have a red hue. Two out of the 3 photos I used my brother as a model and in one of the pieces I used myself as a model in the photo with the eye looking through the door.



The passage book series November 2020 Justin Cronin’s The Passage Series is primarily a post-apocalyptic vampire novel that explores themes of mortality, hope, faith, and the future. For this project the plan was to design a book series campaign that best respresents the series as a whole. For this assignment I illustrated 3 book covers for each book in the series, a promotional poster, a book stand, and two promotional motion graphics ads that promote the overall book series.

Bombshell comics: website campaign (funko) May 13, 2020 Bombshell Comics is a small local comic book store that is located in Hattiesburg, MS. For this project the idea was to design a website for the book store that promotes the Funko doll merchandise which is a popular brand of collectables in the U.S. I’ve designed a Desktop, tablet, and mobile, version of the website. Black Mirror is sci-fi anthology series explores a twisted, high-tech near-future where humanity’s greatest innovations and darkest instincts collide.
