Date Mr. / Ms. Art Director Agency Name Address Line 1 Address Line 2 Dear Mr. / Ms., Please consider me a worthy applicant for your graphic design position. I was thrilled to see the opening on the AIGA website, especially because the position would be building upon the skills I have already developed. After browsing your website, and familiarizing myself with your company’s work and services, I would consider it a valuable opportunity to be a part of your creative team.
,
As a recent graduate of Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, and a freelance designer, I have accumulated working knowledge in areas such as advertising, identity systems, packaging, web design, HTML, and CSS. Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver submit to my prods for perfection. Also in my arsenal are more traditional skill sets such as lettering, dry embossing, and cooking a mean grilled cheese. The goal for all of my work is to communicate effectively and with purpose, from concept to completion. I am driven, dedicated, and work as well solo as I do in a team. I enjoy meshing business with design in order to find the most effective strategy for reaching the target market. My career goals are to continue to learn and grown as a graphic designer while using my individuality as an invaluable asset to my employer. I look forward to meeting with you to further discuss my capabilities, goals, and portfolio of work. I will call your office next week to arrange a meeting time. Thank you for your time and consideration, Sincerely,
Jacob Shourd
