How to Fish
Step 1. Prepare Make sure when you are preparing you dress accordingly to the weather. I personally like to wear clothes that I don’t mind getting dirty. This can consist of pants and a t-shirt, nothing too fancy.
Before you leave, make sure you have plenty of water and snacks. Sometimes fishing can take a long time and you want to make sure you are prepared to endure the long hours of waiting.

Step 2. Where to fish? Pick a body of water you would like to go fish at. I personally don’t live near any LARGE bodies of water so a nice reservoir works for me.
Once at your preference of water, choose a place to set up for the day.

Step 6. Casting When you cast your going to want to make sure you hold your pole tight but hold the line in a way you can release once you cast. Make sure not to throw the pole in at the same time.
Don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t work the first time. Try try again until you get it right.
Also be sure not to yell, it scares the fish.

Step 8. Tugging Once you start seeing your line being tugged, reel it in nice and easy. If you reel in your line too fast or too slow you risk losing your catch.
Also, make sure the line is being tugged and not just being moved by a small breeze or the wind. It happens often.
Reeling in your catch can test your patience especially when the fish gets off the hook and you have to rebait and recast and wait even longer.
BUT! That’s what makes fishing so relaxing and fun.

Step 9. CAUTION!!! (pt. 2) After you pull in your catch take the hook out of the fish’s mouth as gently as you can.
CAUTION! There may be a little blood. But if that type of thing bothers you maybe you shouldn’t be fishing in the first place.
