HOSPITALITY
The hotel uses purple as its overall theme and style color. Purple is a color renowned for its scarcity and expense throughout history. More than just an aesthetic choice, the integration of purple conveys a commitment to timeless elegance and refinement. The entire project covers a very diverse range, not only hotel standard rooms, but also double Bed rooms, three-bed rooms, suites, royal suites, various gourmet restaurants, shopping shops and health and leisure entertainment centers.

DEVELOPMENT
01 time: 2021 project type: Market Renovation site: Jubilee Market, London, United Kingdom context: Public Space, Minority People, Publicity, Functional
Inlusion - Market Renovation Solving social problems by constructing or transforming public spaces still requires further thinking. This project attempts to look at a new public space issue from a different perspective from the status of different people in the public space and the characteristics of the original site. What kind of public space should be provided in the face of different social environments? Is the public space truly public? How to achieve a public space with publicity? This project attempts to answer the case of the market as a research case and project transformation point, without changing the original characteristics of the market, to achieve an open public space that is inclusive, healthy, functional and productive.
4
What is the contemporary context that make this project outcomes vital? How are you going to make it? Assuming that the park is a public space that people think of as a traditional meaning, is it a market or a shopping mall? If so, why can you see all kinds of people gathering there in the park, but only targeted people can be seen in indoor public spaces such as markets and shopping malls? Since public space is a space that is not subject to any economic and social conditions and anyone can enter, why are some people still excluded and being forgotten? Is the concept of public not covering all levels of space? This project attempts to answer how to make public spaces more open to public figures. Mainly aiming at the market, a public place, put forward the goal of integrating minority groups into the majority community, and implement the real public openness of the space. Its purpose is to allow everyone to get attention and interaction in the space on an equal footing, and to create productivity for the site. The initial scope of research focused on site and case study and understanding of space constraints, concentrating on the impact of the people who use the space and the surrounding environment. Then it will expand the potential thinking of audience groups and spatial function layout. This paper attempts to fill in the missions in the discussion of public space, and how to realize the answer to the publicity of public space through actual design strategies.

This is a corridor that does not interfere with each other. The higher corridor serves as a recreation area and another auditorium stand for watching the center stage performance. The lower corridor serves as a sidewalk that does not disturb the other sidewalks. The curved area on the side close to the covent garden piazza is for the flower shop and can be directly displayed to passers-by and everyone in the market.

Entertainment area
This area is mainly used for some fixed stores. But at the same time it is also a leisure area that can provide people with seating and drinking. The most important thing is that it faces the center stage, so it is also like a VIP-style auditorium stand.
The entertainment section is mainly used for internal and external connections, and is used for people to rest and entertain freely during the day. It can be used as a projection screen from the street outside at night. It is also open at night, so there is no time limit.

The original bazaar was an Italian restaurant with prima sapori. It retains the characteristics of looking at the street scenery outside, as well as the restaurant that connects to the internal space and moves.
RESTING AREA
Florist Corridor v Ta
This is a rest area that can be accessed by elevators and stairs outside the restaurant. Not only can it be provided to vendors who need a short rest, but most importantly, it can be provided to the homeless on a street outside the bazaar. Only when they are integrated into this space can they achieve true publicity. The concept of the rest area is a bit like a capsule hotel, but also because of the ratio of height to width, it can be used as a transitional area for short and homeless nights.

Center stage Multifunctional center stage. In addition to rest, it can also provide a platform for street performers who come to covent garden to perform. This is a central activity area, especially when people are focusing on an activity, no one will have the difference between identities, but it is also an invisible way of interaction.

Scenography
This project explore the theme with scenography. By questioning how the director presents the scenes that the audience wants to see, and how the actors quickly enter the next role to stand by under certain scene settings. Therefore, in the beginning of the semester, my research direction was more inclined to look at the perspective of the scene by myself. From the perspective of looking at the world inside the lens, we seem to be an observer outside the lens. In fact, for our own world, we are the leading role in our lives. One of my coloured installation starts by blurring out the colours of everything around us, and you can see that we may have some sense of where we are in space. I also tried to blur out some of the surrounding colours with powder. It doesn't make much difference. But when I use a led light to project it onto this coloured device, all the colours disappear.
My other larger exploration used the same led technique at the beginning of exploring the sense of people within the space. And what I found is that when you blur the edges and the contrast, the behaviour starts to change. The audience I invited chose to hold each other's hand or walk side by side in such an environment. Finally it is link back to how one enters the park before entering and crossing the park. I hope to use a film technique to guide people to reunderstand the site and generate new understanding. The situation created by this device allows the original impact to be projected through the material to every corner, so you have a situation where you are always interacting with what is already in the space.

Surveillance
[ Videos recording on us or the show? ]
The main focus of this project is surveillance within the public narrative. It asks how surveillance is being used in the public context and if the current modes have an effect on peoples safety or how It effects their perception of security. Current modes of surveillance only become relevant ‘after the fact’ and act as an incomplete narrative to past events. This projects aims to challenge how surveillance could be used as an In Real Time tool that offers people a more completed set of information about their current surroundings. To engage with surveillance, notions around public and private have been explored likening these to interior and exterior conditions. It considers how the distinction between these can be collapsed to create a greater sense of physical safety, whilst not encroaching further on individual privacy. The project examines three main approaches to surveillance, Footage (recording of past events), Surface (surveillance in actual time) and Personal (predictive surveillance). I propose a series of surveillance devices to be installed within laneways in Melbourne CBD, that allow for a greater sense of safety for members of the public. Through my design, I will discuss what place monitoring has within the public narrative.

An excitation is raised by current news from China, one dead girl suspected victim of suicidal picking. In a country where surveillance is rife on the streets and In private spaces, to tragedies always be prevented. While the whole world is concerned about been surveillance will affect the human information security and personal security, I hope to discuss whether people rely too much on the aspect of surveillance and how it affects people's awareness of security. The reason for choosing Chinatown is its unique architectural characteristics, traffic and cultural characteristics. The streets of Chinatown are divided into one section from Swanston Street to Russell Street and another section from Russell Street to Exhibition Street. Its architectural features not only retain the local characteristics of Australia but also meet the living needs of Asian people. I chose to study the surveillance program in the alleys of Chinatown because it has a cross between two cultures, and it has a certain number of criminal cases in these corners. Due to its tendency to live in groups and gather together, the "dead alley" of Chinatown is formed because most of the buildings are of uneven thickness and are a little maze interlaced with each other. For example, the back of a building is the front of some buildings. In places like Chinatown, it is common for businesses to install monitoring inside their stores because they tend to think of the interior as a space that needs to be safe and monitored, while the outside is a public space that has nothing to do with their interests. Their shop is also a form of "public space". Therefore, in many cases, crimes and violations of the law occur occasionally in the alleys outside shops and nearby, and the progress of the investigation is often delayed because relevant information cannot be collected.
PROFIT - Personal benefit - A financial gain
- Monitored "in the name of security." Thought it was to safeguard the security of interests, but it was actually "reversed". - Social software, convenient payment methods, the social credit system - Human rights watch: lack of understanding of the consequences

Design #3 Surface (surveillance in actual time) This is an interactive design consisits of 24 screens, these devices play video in real-time during the day at this dead end corner, and broadcasting incomplete images captured by passersby through the opposite camera at the entrance. The use of technical mirroring as a medium to communicate, reflect and exchange a feeling of wanting to "peep" is now reversed. At night, it not only become a lighting device, but it is also the information collected through the glass facade at the intersections reflects what kind of people are if the alley. Allowing people some hints already on throad, someone would close to or into the street.
Design #1 Personal _
2
Design #1 Personal (predictive surveillance) The device projects images of people on a screen. 1 The predictive part is composed of two parts, which present a predictable situation by releasing the last dead corner of Celestial Avenue. I found that except for some people who are familiar with the street, or who need to eat in the street, most tourists enter the street in search of an exit. And during the day it can go back in time if it finds it impassable, but at night, it needs a predictable form to remind people that there's a dead corner and if you're in the area, what kind of environment you're in.
Design #2 Footage (recording of past events) This is a glass device, distribution on the right-hand side of the avenue entrance, on the steps of and convex and cambered shape arrangement. Behind these glassy devices is a mirror of equal length, To make this temporary space become a little bit infinite. During the day it is a separate individual, but at night it becomes a "system" connecting the second half of the surveillance. So it's both the present tense, reflecting the situation you're in right now, but it's also the past form because it's a sensor that records what has happened and what's happening. At night, the glass devices will become the "mirror" which reflects people at the moment. And when people are close to it, it will turn red. When they are close to it, it will gradually turn blue and then fade. This is because giving back of what it looks like at daytime may increase people's sense of security.

04 time: 2020 project type: Design site: Xuhui District, Shanghai, China context: Interactive, Public, Installation team member: Melon Lin, Jade Chen, Mark Kim
Interactive Public Art Installation Design "Assemblage Node" is a design medium inspired by the original renewal project launched by Pinyu Lingyunli and based on the characteristics of the site located in Xuhui district of Shanghai. It is a public art installation for people to assembling, resting and socialising, to interact in ways that mimic natural phenomena, and to connect people by inspiring their behaviour. The installation is divided into three segments, namely swings, a mirrored shed and the ground platform that extends infinitely, and its design elements are inspired by the deconstruction of Thousand Paper Cranes. The "Assemblage Node" is a permanet device that uses a metaphor to compare people to a flock of birds, while the whole thing resembles a tree. The swing is likened to a hanging tree branch, which provides people with rest and an unintended connection and interaction with others. The traction rope under the extension of the mirror shed roof pulls the convertible parts to bring a different sensory experience. Each triangles shape represents the deconstruction of Thousand Paper Cranes, and they are rebuilt by the interplay of people. The mirror-like platform creats another atmosphere of shifting perception, enabling further subconscious interactions through the infinite extension of the structure. The three are connected and influenced like the relationship of the tree and its nutrition apparatus.

Urban Flux
The URBAN FLUX design studio will examine Hong Kong as a complex, dense and compressed urban interior. Particular attention will be paid to understanding conditions of flux and recognising the operative potential of the city upon ways of living, modes of commerce and public/social exchange. On returning to Melbourne, a comparative consideration of the cultural specificity of these ideas in a different social, political and economic urban context will enable to the development of a body of work for exhibiting as part of the Business of Design Week.
16
The model responses to the idea of "INTERSECTION" I came up with was that it's really possible that in the future, human beings will live in a framework where they interact with each other, where buildings are raised, and where you want to go, it's easy, and people will be free to move through every space. And in later times, humanity's shared space will be bigger and bigger. And the white suspended boxes may repre-sent some future model of the block urban landscape, and give different openings and translucent walls, which express a guess about the future. Every space for people in the future may be visible, and all resources and economies will become more shared. The repeated frames outside are the assumption of stairs and bridges. Supposing that in the future, when a pedestrian overpass crosses every building, and there are more and more, human cities are likely to be raised and suspended.

Section side view of project design concept "Interdependence"
The drawing presents two houses that combine residential/commercial/shopping functions, which can be moved/separated to pull out of terrace public facilities, which can be used as a tool for people on the road to walk through during the day, or as an environment for people to rest. And in the evening, the state of close still cannot prevent its use, after being collected into the interior can still be used indoors.

Side view of project design concept "Intersection"
The drawing represents a state that people can't really share private spaces. So the idea of this house to turning it into a semi-open mode to create a portable indoor wall, able to accommodate different functions of the space. Although it is a solid infrastructure, but because of its flexibility have released the space constraints. Moving the indoor facility outside. The intersection of private and public, not sudden, these spaces live in people's subconscious, people need them, so they appear.

Encore
Design a performance design, a scenography, or a design-led performance in the Prague Exhibition grounds for the Prague Quadrennial 2019.The design should consider intent, practical ability and technical resolution. Therefore, my design was mainly for the performing arts team Chunky Move I invited to perform in pavilion I designed. After seeing one of their most distinctive performances called the Assembly, and also because of the funding, technology, and audio limitations of this pavilion, I designed my pavilion directly as a stage without instruments. Dancers can use the rhythm of their bodies and the tap of their feet to produce sounds on the stage. In addition, the pavilion had to take into account its use for people who come to the festival, so I designed a cabin in the middle to provide people to take a rest, and the outside steps were also available for sitting.

Kindergarten Architectural Design The background of raising this competition was based on recent violation things truly happened on children in China. In this case, I did the design with my team member Yiran Li and both of us focus on the idea of “quiet, safe, and comfortable” environment for children’s growth. The school was entitled “SHIMO children’s enlightenment private school". The concept of this case tended to bring closer the spiritual culture of China through the modern technology. Structure : the school was mainly functioned in reception checking and storage area, teachers office, levels of children studying room, entertainment building and other health care centre.

Artist Statement : Why are modern people increasingly dependent on mobile phones? The mobile phone has become an indispensable thing in life. It draws the distance between people, the mobile phones bring us information connected to the internet and convenient express delivery, but also lead to less fun. The reason why I created this series of photos is that I found that even in public places, most people would choose to pull out their mobile phones and spend time by looking at the screen in order not to show the embarrassment of being alone with strangers. In some interior spaces, there is less face-to-face contact between people who know each other. There is less and less interaction between strangers or friends. So my audience is targeted everybody. Max Cavallari is a great photographer who inspired me to take this series of photography. So I wanted to use my photos to express how these social tools are isolating us. The reason why I like shooting is that I like to walk and forth in the city to shoot the relationship between some people and the architectural space. In this context, I find that the mobile phone is a key point connecting the performance of all people in the architectural space or below. The exploration behind these photos comes from some life discoveries. Even though the information conveyed on the screen, people's expressions show subtle or even unchanged, showing a kind of numbness to things. I want to express some disconnections between people in my photos. No matter what kind of environment or space they are in, everything around them seems not to be able to affect their "obsession" with technology, but they neglect the communication with people around them.
