ArcLight Studios WORKplace Design

Jade Filbey | Spring 2022

About the company ArcLight Studios Atlanta-based, ArcLight Studios began its mission to be the first gaming company to create innovative and intuitive video games through community engagement and development. Knowing what people want allows for a strong connection between game development and its players.

Company Outlook At the moment, ArcLight Studios has 40 employees, but due to their great success, they hope to expand to 60 employees. Allocating 12,600 SF to their prospective commercial-style building, we are looking for innovative and flexible ways to accommodate their growth. In the wake of the pandemic in 2020, ArcLight has implemented a hybrid working environment that has thrived. As part of continuing to practice hybrid environments, we examine how multitasking can occur in the workplace. In order to create a space that best accommodates the work styles of each department, we consider the needs of each division.

Persona Chief Financial Officer The study for ArcLight Studios future office planning and design began with their Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Rosa Jansing. Rosa has been with ArcLight since 2017 and has seen the transition from a typical work from the office full time, work completely remote full time, and now is working though a hybrid solution.

The future of the workplace is taking the next big leap and introducing a hybrid solution. Not only is this a preferred method for most in the workforce, it also means that less space accommodations are needed in the physical workplace. Six main functions are still looked for in the working environment including the following:

Independence

Collaboration

Wellness
