As the capital of Mexico, Mexico City brings together more than 45% of the country's population. At the moment, this city is operating at an overload. Refugees have extremely poor living conditions and lack privacy. the basic living needs of local refugees cannot be guaranteed. Because they cannot obtain a clean and sanitary living environment and domestic water, the mortality rate is high. In addition, there are frequent violence and disputes exit, especially in the area where refugees live, and life is chaotic. However, the international organization TECHO had already notice that. Based on the practical experience of them and the current conditions of the refugees, I 've tried these methods. 1. Use modular components to build building units that adapt to the site to create as much privacy as possible.; 2. Build a sustainable toilet system and adopt passive technology for collection Rain; 3. keep them away from unnecessary violence and disputes by creativing a positive and healthy community .

The entire water storage tank is divided into three levels, corresponding to three types of domestic water with different requirements for water bodies. Water for flushing toilets, sinks and showers.

Flowing Limbs Collaborative work,By JINGYI TONG, Choreographer YING LIU Dancer YIMA completed in 2023.6
Using audio and video capture devices in a confined space, we capture movements and translate the results into ripples, which are then projected with a projector, offering feedback to the audience. Through this installation, we aim to explore the capture of movement and ways to enhance bodily awareness. Interactive feedback theory suggests that users' awareness of their bodies can be effectively increased through interaction, and visual feedback serves as a means to provide body awareness.
The final motion capture results are somewhat mediocre, and it requires audio assistance to achieve more distinct two-dimensional graphical feedback. Further adjustments to the components and parameters are needed.

This is a practice based on Laban Movement Theory (LMT) and TouchDesigner motion capture interaction, collaboratively realized with a solo dancer and a choreographer involved in Calligrapher. Our intention is to enhance the visual experience of the dancer's performance through projections behind the dancer, emphasizing the coordination of the dancer's movements with the musical beats. The aim is to explore how visual technology can accentuate bodily movement. The structural enhancements within the TouchDesigner elements in this project aim to address the feedback concerning the relatively weak visual presentation to the audience in On Pubilc:Creating Space with Limbs.

Manufacturing-Metropolis Individual work,By JINGYI TONG, completed in 2023.01
The birth of Hangzhou Iron & Steel in 1940 marked the beginning of the industrial age of Hangzhou. With the expansion of Hangzhou Steel’s industry, a family community centered on Hangzhou Steel was quickly formed. Meanwhile, the workers moved into the dormitory of Hangzhou Iron and Steel with their families. However, with the transformation and upgrading of urban industries, the city gradually cannot accommodate the chimneys that once laid the
foundation for urban development. And after 10 years of see-saw discussions, the sound of explosions came from the north of the city in October 2015, which declared the end of the steel age, followed by the loss and emptiness left for the older generation of industrialists. To evoke this memory, I reopen the story of Hangzhou Steel through an immersive stage, reproducing the glory of the steel building in industrial history and helping people remember that period of history.
The concept of the transformation is based on an original script, unfolding a murder mystery set in a factory. Drawing inspiration from Bernard Tschumi's methodology, the narrative space translation technique is employed to convert the story's scenes into specific spatial nodes. Subsequently, these nodes are interconnected based on three touring routes. Red, yellow and blue respectively correspond to the actor’s activity route that performs 3 hops simultaneously. Being immersed in it, the audience can join any route at any time.

Geometry Hive Individual work,By JINGYI TONG, completed in 2021.10
In this project, I aimed to construct a genuine three-dimensional structure using a single monolithic piece. The objective was to seamlessly integrate the structure without relying on glue or unnecessary connectors, allowing it to extend infinitely in three-dimensional space while assuming a distinct geometric form and spatial level. Achieving stability in a structure entails employing various methods, with the key requirement being at least three directions of fixation and constraints in space. To fulfill this, I chose the triangle as the foundational unit surface form. Inspired by the stable configuration of a honeycomb hexagon, I applied this principle to extend and enhance my basic unit
The Basic Unit Geometric bodies such as cubes and triangular pyramids can be easily closed in space due to their special angles. So when discussing how the basic unit is closed in space, I hope that the side and bottom can choose non-special angles, so I decided to set an angle randomly.

The concept of a 'militarised high school' c o m e s f ro m t h e o r i g i n a l h i g h s c h o o l examination factory, Hengshui Middle School, where students were managed in a uniform manner in order to achieve better results in the examinations, with strict control over students' minds, no relationships, no leaving the school, no need to think about anything other than examinations, and no contact with the outside world for the purpose of The aim is to resist temptation and to complete the "lifelong" exams at the end of the senior year. All of us know that this is
a perverse mode of competition, but we have no choice but to choose it. This project is based on my own experience. In my senior year we were in a conflict, we didn't want to be bound by the education system, but we couldn't break free. In that dystopian senior year, ordering takeaways in secret to satisfy our appetites under the taboo became our only rebellious pleasure. By looking back on this experience, I hope to provoke people who have been conditioned to think about these seemingly mundane phenomena.
Delivery-Food Planning By identifying the school's surveillance facilities and blind spots, the safest route and plan of action for ordering a takeaway was mapped out.
