Scheveningen, Kijkduin, het Zuiderstrand ertussen: maar liefst 11 kilometer kust geeft Den Haag vier seizoenen lang iets extra's ten opzichte van andere Nederlandse grote steden en in een kwartiertje sta je in de historische binnenstad. Highlights | Highlights 8 Royal The Hague The Hague is a royal city where you could easily bump into a member of the Royal Family on the street. Noordeinde Palace is situated on one of The Hague's most elegant shopping streets. When King Willem-Alexander is there, the flag is flown at the palace. Hidden between Noordeinde Palace, the Royal Stables and the Royal Archives is the Palace Garden, accessible via the Prinsessewal. The city centre still has the great allure of a royal city: there are historic monuments everywhere, palaces, regal routes and horse-drawn carriages. Many times a year, on a Wednesday morning, newly appointed ambassadors arrive at Noordeinde Palace to present their letters of credence to the King.

Koninklijk Den Haag In Den Haag kun je de koninklijke familie zomaar op straat of in één van 'hun' favoriete winkels tegenkomen. Paleis Noordeinde ligt aan één van de meest elegante winkelstraten van Den Haag. Als koning Willem-Alexander aanwezig is, wappert de vlag op het dak van het paleis. Verscholen tussen Paleis Noordeinde, de Koninklijke Stallen en het Koninklijk Archief ligt de Paleistuin. Het park is toegankelijk via de Prinsessewal en zeker een wandeling waard! De Haagse binnenstad ademt nog altijd de allure die bij een koninklijke stad hoort. Overal zie je historische monumenten, paleizen, vorstelijke routes en koetsen met paarden. Regelmatig arriveren op woensdagochtend nieuwbenoemde ambassadeurs bij Paleis Noordeinde om aan de koning hun Geloofsbrieven te overhandigen. Dit gaat altijd gepaard met veel ceremonieel.

Prinsjesdag Prinsjesdag, traditiegetrouw de derde dinsdag van september, is ondertussen veel meer dan de optocht van de Glazen Koets met koning Willem-Alexander en koningin Máxima, de troonrede in de Ridderzaal en de balkonscène bij Paleis Noordeinde. Voorafgaand aan deze feestelijke dag worden allerlei extra activiteiten georganiseerd. Van de PrinsjesHatwalk op het Lange Voorhout tot de spectaculaire strandoefening van de Cavalerie Ere-Escort in Scheveningen.

Prinsjesdag The State Opening of Parliament (in Dutch 'Prinsjesdag'), traditionally held on the third Tuesday of September, has become much more than a procession with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima in the Glass Coach, the King’s Speech in the Knights' Hall and the balcony scene at Noordeinde Palace. All manner of extra activities are now organised in the run up to this festive occasion. Don't miss the spectacular rehearsal of the Cavalry Escort of Honour on the beach of Scheveningen.

9 Panorama Mesdag Kijk 360º in het rond en onderga de magische illusie van het zins begoochelende panorama van Scheveningen uit 1881. Het unieke cultuurhistorisch monument is een vergezicht op de zee, de duinen en het oude vissersdorp Scheveningen, geschilderd door Hendrik Willem Mesdag. Het doek heeft een oppervlakte van circa 1680 m2. Vanaf een kunstmatig opgeworpen duin in het midden van het pand heeft de bezoeker een uitzicht alsof hij op het in 1881 afgegraven Seinpostduin stond en over de zee en het strand uitkeek.

Panorama Mesdag

Mauritshuis

With a 360º view, experience the magic illusion of this captivating panorama of Scheveningen as it was in 1881. The unique cultural and historical monument painted by Hendrik Willem Mesdag provides a panoramic view of the sea, the dunes and the old fishing village of Scheveningen. The canvas has a surface area of approximately 1680 m2 and was painted over a period of 4 months, in which Mesdag was assisted by artists including marine painter Paul Breitner. The building that houses this panorama was built specially for the painting. From an artificial dune in the middle of the room, visitors feel as if they are standing on top of the Seinpost dune (dating from 1881) looking out over the sea and the beach.

Het Mauritshuis toont het beste van de Nederlandse schilderkunst uit de Gouden Eeuw. Ruim 250 topstukken van Hollandse en Vlaamse meesters hebben hun plaats in het klassieke interieur dat door de zijden wandbespanning, fonkelende kroonluchters en monumentale plafondschilderingen een koninklijke sfeer ademt. Hier kun je genieten van topstukken als Vermeers wereldberoemde 'Meisje met de parel', het 'Puttertje' van Fabritius, 'De Anatomische les van Dr. Nicolaes Tulp' van Rembrandt, de verbeelding van de Hollandse winter door schilders als Avercamp en 'De stier' van Potter. Maar ook interieurs van Jan Steen, landschappen van Ruysdael en portretten van Rubens geven een gevarieerd beeld van de schilderkunst uit de 17e eeuw.

Mauritshuis The Mauritshuis exhibits the very best of Dutch paintings from the Golden Age. Over 250 major works by Dutch and Flemish masters have pride of place in the building's classical interior, which, thanks to the silk wall coverings and monumental ceiling paintings, has a regal air about it. Here you can enjoy major works such as Vermeer's world-famous 'Girl with a Pearl Earring', 'The Goldfinch' by Fabritus, Rembrandt's 'Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp', scenes of Dutch winters by artists including Avercamp, but also interiors by Jan Steen, landscapes by Ruysdael, and portraits by Rubens provide a rich and varied insight into 17th century Dutch art.

Vredespaleis

Peace Palace

In Den Haag wordt, iedere dag weer, hard gewerkt aan een betere wereld. Symbool hiervan is het Vredespaleis. 100 jaar geleden werd dit paleis gebouwd. Daarmee werd een stevig fundament gelegd voor Den Haag als internationale stad van vrede en recht. Voor wie meer te weten wil komen over de totstandkoming van het Vredespaleis, de geschiedenis van vrede en recht is de (gratis) tentoonstelling in het bezoekerscentrum écht een aanrader. Een aantal weekenden per jaar worden de deuren van het Vredespaleis geopend voor het publiek. Een gids toont dan niet alleen de belangrijkste ruimtes en de mooiste kunstwerken in het gebouw, maar vertelt ook alles over dit wereldwijde symbool van vrede en recht.

Every single day, certain people in The Hague work hard towards achieving a better world. The Peace Palace symbolises these efforts. The palace was built one hundred years ago. This created a sound basis for The Hague as international city of peace and justice. The exhibition (free admission) at the visitors' centre is highly recommended for those who would like to find out more about the establishment of the Peace Palace, and the history of peace and justice. The doors are opened to the public several weekends a year. A guide will show you not only the building's main areas and most impressive artworks, but also tell you all about this worldwide symbol of peace and justice.

Naast de ingang van het Vredespaleis staat de 'Eeuwige Vredesvlam', omringd door het Wereldvredespad dat bestaat uit 196 stenen uit 196 landen. Zo ligt er een brok steen uit de Berlijnse Muur en een van het Robbeneiland, waar Nelson Mandela jarenlang gevangen zat. Elke dinsdag- en donderdagmiddag wordt bij het Vredespaleis een carillonconcert gegeven. Het beiaardspel vindt plaats van 13.00 tot 13.45 uur en is gratis te beluisteren vanaf het plein vóór het Vredespaleis. Een echte insidertip!

Next to the entrance to the Peace Palace is the 'Eternal World Peace Flame', surrounded by the World Peace Flame Pathway that consists of 196 stones from 196 countries. One of the stones is from the Berlin Wall and another from Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was held captive. A carillon concert is held at the Peace Palace every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The carillon bell concerts are held from 1 to 1.45 pm and can be listened to free of charge from the courtyard in front of the palace. A real insider's tip!

11 Gemeentemuseum Den Haag

Escher in Het Paleis

Met de grootste collectie schilderijen van Piet Mondriaan en als hoogtepunt zijn laatste werk, de 'Victory Boogie Woogie', de uitmuntende zilvercollectie en minutieus gedecoreerd Delfts Blauw is Gemeentemuseum Den Haag van alle tijd. Je ruikt bijna de zee bij het realistische werk van de Haagse zeeschilders en bewondert de wolkenvelden die de Haagse School kenmerkten. Het schitterende gebouw uit 1935, ontworpen door architect H.P. Berlage, is er voor gemaakt om je al dwalend door de zalen te laten verrassen door de veelzijdige collectie en het grote aantal wisselende tentoonstellingen.

Gemeentemuseum Den Haag With the largest collection of paintings by Piet Mondrian, including his last work 'Victory Boogie Woogie', an outstanding silver collection and richly decorated Delft Blue ceramics, Gemeentemuseum Den Haag is timeless. You can almost smell the sea in the realistic work by Hague painters, and admire the magnificent clouds that are so characteristic of The Hague School. The exquisite building, dating from 1935 and designed by architect H.P. Berlage, is the perfect place to lose yourself in the diverse and surprising collection and the many changing exhibitions as you wander from hall to hall.

Op de kop van het Lange Voorhout staat het kleine 18de-eeuwse paleisje van koningin Emma dat tegenwoordig is gewijd aan het werk van graficus M.C. Escher, de meester van het tekenen van onechte situaties. Hij laat water omhoog stromen, vogels in vissen veranderen en mannen eindeloos dezelfde trap open aflopen. Met 130 werken is hier bijna zijn gehele oeuvre te zien. Met als hoogtepunt de 7 meter lange 'Metamorfose III'. De tweede etage is veranderd in een interactieve wereld voor de presentatie 'Kijken als Escher'. In een magische bol verschijnen en verdwijnen werelden. In een zaal lijken muren te veranderen en te bewegen en in de Kamer van Escher verander je zelf het perspectief en lijken kinderen groter dan hun ouders.

Escher in Het Paleis At the northernmost point of Lange Voorhout is a small 18th-century palace that was once home to Queen Emma of the Netherlands and is now dedicated to the work of M.C. Escher, master of illustrating the impossible. He drew water flowing upwards, birds that turn into fishes and men climbing and descending staircases that never end. This collection of over 120 pieces includes almost all of his work, with the 7-meter-long 'Metamorphosis III' as its highlight. The second floor has been transformed into an interactive world for a presentation entitled 'See like Escher'. Worlds appear and disappear inside a magic ball. The walls of a room seem to move, and in 'Escher's Room', you can change your own perspective and children appear larger than their parents.

Binnenhof en Ridderzaal

Binnenhof and Knights' Hall

De geschiedenis van Den Haag gaat terug tot het moment in de 13e eeuw waarop graaf Floris IV van Holland op zoek was naar een stuk grond om een jachthuis te bouwen. Deze bescheiden woning wordt op een vrijwel leeg land op de grens van het ontgonnen veenlandschap en het nog woeste bos- en duingebied langs de kust naast de huidige Hofvijver gebouwd; een gebied dat bekend stond als 'Die Haghe'. Willems zoon Floris V bouwt het hof uit tot een kasteel, met een grote zaal, de voorloper van de huidige Ridderzaal. Vanaf dat moment wordt het kasteel, nu bekend als het Binnenhof, langzaam het centrum van de Nederlandse politiek.

The history of The Hague goes back to the moment in the 13th century when Floris IV, Count of Holland, was looking for a piece of land on which to build a hunting lodge. This modest residence was built on a virtually empty piece of land beside an uncultivated stretch of moorland and the still wild area of woodland and dunes along the coast adjacent to the current Hofvijver pond; this area was known as 'Die Haghe' William's son Floris V turned the court into a castle, which included a large hall, the predecessor to the current Knights' Hall. From that moment on, the castle, now known as the Dutch parliament buildings, gradually became the political centre of today’s Netherlands.

Het Binnenhof, de Ridderzaal, het Torentje van de minister-president en de Hofvijver behoren nog steeds tot de meest herkenbare plaatsen van Nederland. Via een van de toegangspoortjes sta je midden in het hart van onze democratie. Neem tijdens een rondleiding van ProDemos een kijkje in de Tweede Kamer, bestijg de trappen van de Ridderzaal en bekijk de troon waarop Koning Willem-Alexander tijdens Prinsjesdag de Troonrede voorleest. Ook het Torentje van de minister-president is een onderdeel van het Binnenhof en bevindt zich precies naast het Mauritshuis.

The parliament buildings, the Knights' Hall, the Prime Minister’s office tower and the Hofvijver in The Hague are some of the most well-known places in the Netherlands. Walk through one of the famous access gateways and you will find yourself at the very heart of Dutch democracy. Take a look at the Dutch Lower House of Parliament during a ProDemos guided tour. Climb the stairs of the Knights' Hall and see all the historical details and the throne from which King Willem-Alexander reads the King's Speech every State Opening of Parliament. The Prime Minister’s office tower is also part of the parliament buildings and is located next to the Mauritshuis.

In 2019 is het 350 jaar geleden dat Rembrandt is gestorven en ter ere van deze gebeurtenis staan 'Rembrandt & De Gouden Eeuw' een jaar lang in Nederland centraal. Den Haag was in die tijd hét centrum van de macht en het politieke middelpunt van ons land. Maar ook op cultureel gebeid was De Gouden Eeuw voor de stad een periode van grote rijkdom, getuige de vele nog steeds beroemde werken van Hollandse Meesters als Rembrandt, Hals en Vermeer.

In 2019, it is the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt's passing and to honour this event The Netherlands have organized the year of 'Rembrandt & The Golden Age'. The Hague formed the centre of power and politics of our country in those days. But also in terms of culture, the Golden Age marked an era of great wealth in this city, as witnessed by the works of Dutch Masters like Rembrandt, Hals and Vermeer.

Haags Historisch Museum • Johan van Oldenbarnevelt. Man, macht en moord | 1 december 2018 - 14 april 2019. In 2019 is het 400 jaar geleden dat Johan van Oldenbarnevelt (15741619) op het Binnenhof werd onthoofd. Nog steeds geldt hij als een van de grootste staatsmannen uit de Nederlandse geschiedenis, dé bouwer en stichter van de Nederlandse staat. De tentoonstelling laat zien met welke persoonlijke uitdagingen de staatsman te maken had.

Mauritshuis • Rembrandt & De Gouden Eeuw | januari - september 2019. In 2019 is het 350 jaar geleden dat één van onze beroemdste schilders, Rembrandt van Rijn, overleed. Als een van de belangrijkste tentoonstellingen tijdens het themajaar toont het Mauritshuis een verzameling schilderijen van Hollandse en Vlaamse meesters uit de Gouden Eeuw, waaronder zestien schilderijen van Rembrandt: 'De anatomische les van Dr. Nicolaes Tulp', 'Saul en David', 'Lofzang van Simeon' en drie zelfportretten.

Mauritshuis • Rembrandt & The Golden Age | January - September 2019. In 2019, it's 350 years ago that one of our most famous painters, Rembrandt van Rijn, passed away. As one of the most important exhibits in light of this anniversary, the Mauritshuis displays a collection of world-famous paintings by Dutch and Flemish masters from the Golden Age, including sixteen Rembrandts. These are world-famous works such as 'The Anatomy Lessor by Dr. Nicolaes Tulp', 'Saul and David', 'Song of Simeon' and three magnificent self-portraits.

Beelden aan Zee

Voorlinden is een bijzonder museum vol moderne kunst, gelegen op een prachtig landgoed in de duinen van Wassenaar. Het stralende witte gebouw biedt naast tijdelijke tentoonstellingen onderdak aan permanente kunstwerken, die speciaal voor het museum zijn gemaakt.

Verscholen in de duinen van Scheveningen ligt Museum Beelden aan Zee. Het gebouw is in het duin ingegraven en heeft zijn rug gekeerd naar de drukke strandboulevard. Wandel over de patio’s en terrassen en bekijk hoe moderne en hedendaagse beeldhouwkunst hier een unieke plek vonden. De collectie telt bijna duizend beelden die variëren van portretten tot meer dan levensgroot. De mens is het leidmotief in de collectie die werken bevat van o.a. Armando, Zadok Ben-David, Fernando Botero, César, Jeroen Henneman, Giacomo Manzú, Charlotte van Pallandt en Ossip Zadkine.

Zo ontwierp James Turrell 'Skyspace', een ruimte met een vierkant gat in het dak waardoor je de lucht ziet zoals je deze nog nooit zag. Stap in de illusionistische 'Swimming Pool' van de Argentijnse kunstenaar Leandro Erlich of ervaar al wandelend 'Open Ended' van Richard Serra. Stuk voor stuk belevingskunstwerken die zich niet laten beschrijven. Je moet ze ondergaan.

Museum Voorlinden Voorlinden is a remarkable museum filled with modern art and which is situated on a beautiful estate in the dunes of Wassenaar. In addition to temporary exhibitions, the pristine white building is home to permanent works of art that were created especially for the museum. One example designed by James Turrell is 'Skyspace', a space with a square hole in the roof that provides a view of the sky as you have never seen it before. Cultuur | Culture 28 Museum de Gevangenpoort Museum de Gevangenpoort is prachtig gelegen aan de Hofvijver. In de 13e eeuw vormde het de toegangspoort tot het Binnenhof. Enkele eeuwen later werd het een gevangenis en gerechtsgebouw van het machtige Hof van Holland. Hier wachtten verdachte misdadigers op hun proces en werden wanbetalers opgesloten. Ook vonden hier enkele belangrijke momenten uit de Nederlandse geschiedenis plaats, zoals de moord op de gebroeders De Witt. Tegenwoordig vertelt het museum het spannende verhaal van misdaad en straf in voorbije tijden. Een gids onthult alle achtergronden.

The Prison Gate Museum is an icon in The Hague. During the 13th century, this building formed the entrance gate to the Binnenhof. Nog tot eind december: Feest aan Zee Precies 200 jaar geleden bouwde Jacob Pronk het eerste badhuis op Scheveningen, een klein houten huisje met vier badkuipen met zeewater. Hierdoor ontstond de eerste badplaats van Nederland. Sinds 1818 groeide het vissersdorp uit tot een levendige badplaats voor een breed publiek. Reden voor een jaar lang Feest aan Zee. Van het Plein tot de Pier is het tot 1 januari 2019 nog 'Feest aan Zee' met een grote diversiteit aan evenementen en tentoonstellingen. Grote publiekstrekkers zijn o.a. de Red Bull Knock Out (10 november) en Cool Event Scheveningen (december). Until the end of December: Seaside Celebrations Exactly 200 years ago, Jacobus Pronk built the first bathing house at Scheveningen, a small wooden hut with four bath tubs containing seawater. This gave rise to the first seaside resort in the Netherlands. Since 1818, the fishing village has grown into a lively seaside resort that appeals to a wide general public. Reason enough for an entire year of Seaside Celebrations. From the Plein to the Pier the Seaside Celebrations will continue until 1 January 2019 with a diverse range of events and exhibitions. Omniversum

In Omniversum draaien dagelijks spectaculaire natuurfilms. Omniversum is het grootste koepeltheater van de Benelux. Met een scherm dat 4.500 keer groter is dan een gewone tv en geluid afkomstig uit maar liefst 36 speakers worden de zintuigen overdonderd! Omniversum neemt je mee naar andere werelden.

Restaurant Basaal is met de kookstijl van Bas Oonk al jarenlang toonaangevend aan de Avenue Culinaire. Recentelijk werd Basaal opnieuw onderscheiden met een BIB Gourmand. De onderscheiding van Michelin wordt jaarlijks verleend aan restaurants met een uitmuntende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding.

De Haagse Toren is, met 42 verdiepingen en 135 meter hoogte, een markante verschijning in de binnenstad van Den Haag. Op de topverdieping bevindt zich het hoogstgelegen restaurant van Nederland: The Penthouse. Naast een luxe diner is dit ook dé plek voor een lunch, Highest Tea of borrelmoment. Bij Restaurant Oogst op de Denneweg staat lekker eten voorop als een vleugje Parijs in Buurtschap 2005. Bij Oogst is er keuze uit diverse kleine gerechten die regelmatig wisselen en afgestemd zijn op het seizoen. Veel ingrediënten komen uit de eigen groenten- en kruidentuin.

Nog steeds geldt hij als een van de grootste staatsmannen uit de Nederlandse geschiedenis, dé bouwer en stichter van de Nederlandse staat. Ondanks die reputatie werd nooit eerder een tentoonstelling aan hem gewijd. De tentoonstelling koppelt het verleden aan het heden en laat zien dat de thema's van vroeger nog altijd relevant zijn.

In Engelse landhuizen bevinden zich van oudsher veel Hollandse meesters uit de Gouden Eeuw. De meeste van deze werken werden in de achttiende eeuw verworven en hoewel menig familie stukken heeft moeten verkopen, zijn er nog altijd vele prachtige schilderijen in de historische landhuizen te vinden. Voor deze tentoonstelling zijn de mooiste Hollandse schilderijen geselecteerd uit huizen beheerd door de National Trust. Het Mauritshuis heeft hiermee een primeur, niet eerder werd een dergelijke selectie buiten het Verenigd Koninkrijk getoond.

For this exhibition, Mauritshuis has selected the most beautiful Dutch paintings from houses managed by the National Trust. This will be a first for the Mauritshuis: never before has such a selection been exhibited outside the United Kingdom.

91 Openbaar vervoer in Den Haag en omgeving Den Haag beschikt over uitstekend openbaar vervoer. Een groot aantal bussen en trams (zie pag. 96-97) brengt je naar je bestemming in Den Haag, Voorburg, Delft, Rijswijk, Wateringen, Nootdorp, Leidschendam en Zoetermeer. OV-chipkaart Om te kunnen reizen met een OV-chipkaart moet je voldoende geld (saldo) op je OV-chipkaart zetten. Daarna check je in en uit bij de kaartlezers in tram of bus. Dagkaart (€ 6,50 - € 1,50) Met een dagkaart reis je voordelig de hele dag met de trams en bussen van HTM. De Dagkaart (€ 6,50) en de Kinder Dagkaart (kind 4-12 jaar € 1,50) koop je bij een HTM Servicepunt of bij The Hague Info Store. En vanaf het najaar in de trams en bussen. Tourist Day Ticket (€ 13,50) Wil je in heel Zuid-Holland reizen? Koop dan het Tourist Day Ticket en reis met alle trams, bussen, metro's en waterbus in Zuid-Holland. Van de historische centra van Delft, Dordrecht, Leiden en Gouda, naar de stranden van Den Haag en naar Kinderdijk. Dit kaartje koop je bij de een HTM Servicepunt of bij The Hague Info Store. Nachtnet Op vrijdag- en zaterdagnacht rijdt de HTM Nachtbuzz. Vanaf het Buitenhof vertrekken zes buslijnen door Den Haag, Zoetermeer, Delft, Rijswijk, Voorburg en Leidschendam. Public transport in The Hague and surroundings The Hague has an excellent public transport. Parking in The Hague Parkeren in Den Haag

In The Hague and Scheveningen paid parking applies from 09 AM to 12 PM on weekdays and on Fridays and Saturdays from 09 AM to 02 AM the next morning. For tourists it is much easier and cheaper to park in one of the car parks. The Hague and Scheveningen also have an extensive network of trams and buses. They will often get you to your destination quicker than if you go by car. In Den Haag en Scheveningen geldt betaald parkeren van 9 uur ’s ochtends tot middernacht en op vrijdag en zaterdag van 9 uur ’s ochtends tot 2 uur de volgende morgen. Bereikbaarheid Den Haag ligt aan twee snelwegen: de A4 (uit Rotterdam en Amsterdam) en de A12 (uit Utrecht). Vanaf de snelweg sta je met de auto al na twee verkeerslichten in het centrum van Den Haag. Volg hiervoor de borden met Centrumring. Deze route voert om het autoluwe centrum en leidt naar de dichtstbijzijnde parkeergarages waar nog plaatsen vrij zijn. Kijk op denhaag.com/nl/centrum-bereikbaarheid voor het meest actuele overzicht. Parkeren in de binnenstad Het winkelgebied in de Haagse binnenstad is autoluw. Voor parkeren op straat in de binnenstad moet je betalen. Dit geldt dagelijks vanaf de ochtend tot middernacht en in het weekend tot 2 uur. Voor de meeste parkeerplaatsen in de binnenstad geldt een maximum parkeerduur van 2 uur. Dit geldt niet voor de parkeergarages. Voor parkeren op straat kan je bij alle parkeerautomaten betalen met pinpas, creditcard of mobiele telefoon. Den Haag kent betaald parkeren op kenteken. Wanneer je Den Haag bezoekt, kun je de auto daarom het beste parkeren in een

parkeergarage aan de Centrumring. In totaal liggen er ruim 20 parkeergarages en -terreinen aan deze route. De tarieven van deze parkeergarages variëren van € 2,- tot € 4,- per uur en € 20,- tot € 30,- euro per dag. De meeste parkeergarages zijn 24 uur per dag geopend. Scheveningen Wil je naar het strand van Scheveningen, volg dan de borden Scheveningen Bad of Scheveningen Haven. Als het rustig is, ben je er met de auto in 10 minuten. Kijk voor de drukte richting Scheveningen op denhaag.com/nl/scheveningen. In Scheveningen Bad geldt dagelijks betaald parkeren met een maximum parkeerduur van 60 minuten in de woonstraten nabij het strand en in het weekend tot 2 uur. In de nabije omgeving geldt een maximale parkeerduur van 120 minuten en geldt dagelijks betaald parkeren van 13 tot 24 uur. Wil je op Scheveningen langer parkeren dan 2 uur, doe dit dan in de een van de parkeergarages en -terreinen waar je onbeperkt kunt parkeren. De garage bij Parking Scheveningen Bad in de Zwolsestraat, heeft vrijwel altijd plek. Een andere mogelijkheid is de Strandweg. Hier geldt ook een on-

P+R Station Ypenburg Vanuit de richting Gouda/Utrecht over de A12 is de P+R naast Station Ypenburg een handige optie. Hier kun je parkeren en vervolgens reis je met de trein binnen acht minuten naar Den Haag Centraal Station. Handig: het terrein heeft enkele oplaadpunten voor elektrische auto's. Vanaf circa februari 2018 kun je enkel nog op dit terrein parkeren met een OV-kaart wanneer je kunt aantonen dat je doorreist met het OV. Je parkeert dan tegen een zeer laag tarief. P+R De Uithof Voor wie uit de richting van het Westland komt, kan gratis parkeren op het parkeerterrein van sportcentrum De Uithof (Jaap Edenweg 10). Met tram 4 ben je in ongeveer 20 minuten in het centrum van Den Haag. P+R Laan van NOI Parkeren op het P+R-terrein van NS-station Laan van Nieuw Oost-Indië (Van Alphenstraat 102, Voorburg) kost € 2,19 per uur. Vanaf het treinstation reis je in 5 minuten naar de Haagse binnenstad. Bus 23 rijdt vanaf hier in ongeveer 20 minuten naar Scheveningen. Park & Bike Duindigt Parkeer uw auto op een gereserveerde parkeerplek en fiets in 14 minuten naar de boulevard van

Een fiets met terugtraprem kost € 8,- per dag, een fiets met versnelling kost € 10,- per dag; - Parkeer uw auto op de gereserveerde dag en haal de Haagsche stadfiets op bij Park & Bike. Invalidenparkeerplaatsen Mensen met een Europese gehandicaptenparkeerkaart kunnen gratis gebruikmaken van speciale invalidenparkeerplaatsen. Deze plaatsen zijn te herkennen aan het blauwe E6-parkeerbord met een rolstoel. Om te zien waar je een gehandicaptenparkeerplaats in Den Haag vindt, kun je kijken op app.ongehinderd.nl. De Europese gehandicaptenkaart is niet geldig op de openbare parkeerplaatsen waar betaald parkeren geldt. Accessibility The Hague is located on two large motorways: the A4 (from Rotterdam and Amsterdam) and the A12 (from Utrecht). By car there are only two traffic lights between the motorway and the city centre. To access the city centre follow the signs for Centrumring. This route runs around the car-free city centre and goes to the nearest parking garages where parking spaces are still available. king every day of the week. The cheapest way is to park your car in a parking garage at Centrumring. There are over 20 parking garages and car parks on this route. The rates vary from € 2 to € 4 an hour, and € 20 to € 30 per day. Most parking garages are open 24/7. Street parking is paid in the city centre. Paid parking runs from the morning to midnight and until 2am at weekends. A debit card, credit card or mobile phone can be used for paying. Scheveningen For the beach at Scheveningen you should follow the signs for Scheveningen Bad or Scheveningen Haven. It takes approx. 10 minutes to drive there. The best place to park is Parking Scheveningen Bad in Zwolsestraat, which usually has free spaces. Kijkduin From the motorway, Kijkduin is a short distance from the Den Haag Zuid-West exit. Parking is free throughout Kijkduin. P+R = Park & Ride Save time and money and park your car at a Park & Ride. Avoid any traffic congestion en route to the city centre and pay significantly less parking fees! P+R Ypenburg Station From the direction of Gouda and Utrecht using the A12, the P+R beside Ypenburg Station (Prinses Maximaplein) is a convenient option. Here you can park free and travel by train to Den Haag Centraal Station within 8 minutes. Convenient: the site has a number of charging stations for electric cars. P+R De Uithof Visitors travelling from the direction of Westland can park free in the car
