EVENT MANAGEMENT & CREATIVE DESIGN
Jahel Lozada, Graduate of Seneca Polytechnic's Creative Design and Event Management Program, won first place in the tabletop competition for Inspired Spaces 2024. Passionate and motivated individual with a multifaceted interest in design. Bilingual, also graduated in fashion design, with a specialization in interior decoration, she has established herself as a versatile creative professional. Driven by a relentless pursuit of growth and development, she thrives on challenges that align with industry goals. Her desire to improve pushes her to seek new opportunities for learning and professional advancement every day.
Bloor Street Entertains, an annual fundraising affair organized by the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research, continues to be a highlight in Toronto’s charitable scene. The 27th edition marked the first participation of Jahel Lozada, as an EVC student, who presented a proposal on behalf of Seneca College to ISP.inc Canada. ISP.inc was responsible for approving the event's tabletop designs, which played a pivotal role in the evening’s ambiance. The event thrives on collaboration, bringing together some of Canada's top companies, upscale retailers, and visionary florists to create a magical experience in Yorkville, all while contributing to the vital cause of raising funds for Canadian HIV and AIDS research.
In 2023, Jahel and 2 classmates had the opportunity to create the design concept for W HOTEL one of the Venues for BSE2023. Being Jahlovedesign’s chosen for this approach. A proposal with an eclectic drama and vibrant colors.

Inspired Spaces, a tabletop competition where students from Seneca’s EVC program showcase their talents by proposing innovative designs. The contest challenges participants to incorporate a wide range of skills, including 3D rendering, budgeting, floral mechanics, and conceptual design. This year, Jahel Lozada presented a particularly captivating concept: an appreciation gala dedicated to the welders of Canada. Her design went beyond aesthetics, weaving a heartwarming narrative of two long-lost lovers reunited at the event. Through thoughtful details and storytelling, Jahel’s proposal stood out, and gave her the First Place in this competition.
With a deep sense of meaning and tribute, THE WELDING OF TWO HEARTS was awarded the winning proposal for Inspired Spaces 2024. The design's striking industrial and masculine aesthetic became its wow factor. Utilizing a minimalist approach, the proposal featured resourceful elements, an earthy, dark color scheme, and notably, no flowers setting it apart with bold creativity.
