Acceptance of the Godincarnate status of Jesus is Rastafari doctrine, as is the notion of the corruption of his teachings by secular, Western society, figuratively referred to as Babylon. For this reason, they believe, it was prophesied in the Book of Revelation—”And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.”— that Jesus would return with a new name that would be inscribed on the foreheads of 144,000 of his most devoted servants. Rastas hold that they represent this fulfillment based on their experience in the light of Haile Selassie’s return and coronation as the King of Kings on 2 November 1930, whom they see as the second coming of Jesus or the coming of the holy spirit, and therefore Jah, onto the Earth. Thus the great messiah king whom the Jews are still waiting for has indeed now returned to earth, according to the Rastas.
Rastas say that Jesus was black while Western Society (or Babylon) has commonly depicted him as white for centuries.

Jesus Christ Jesus of Nazareth (c. 5 BC/BCE – c. 30 AD/CE), also known as Jesus Christ or simply Jesus, is the central figure of Christianity. Christians view him as the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament and as the Son of God, who provided salvation and reconciliation with God to humankind by dying for their sins, then raising himself from the dead. In the early episodes, adult Jesus was voiced by Seth MacFarlane. In more recent episodes, Alec Sulkin has taken over the role.
Television
A standing gag is that Jesus drives a Cadillac Escalade. In “North by North Quahog”, he is seen in the car in an action trailer for Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ 2: Crucify This and is portrayed by Jim Caviezel opposite Chris Tucker. In “Chitty Chitty Death Bang”, Jesus also has the power to turn water into funk. In “No Meals on Wheels”, Peter believes he is Jesus when he first discovers static shock. During his second coming, shown in “Stewie Loves Lois”, Jesus’s stature is found to be short since science has proven that people were shorter in biblical times. Jesus has a friend named Trevor, who said “Hello” to him during The Bachelorette, as seen in “Brian the Bachelor”. Jesus is seen on the sofa eating crisps and watching the show, when the phone immediately rings, and he says he was watching it happen. He appears as “Black Jesus” in Jerome Is the New Black. This variation is voiced by Kevin Michael Richardson. A black Jesus on a crucifix appears and becomes a brief point of conversation in “The Splendid Source”. In Go, Stewie, Go!, Jesus is on the side of the jocks in a dodgeball game against the meek. He is mentioned in “And Then There Were Fewer”, when James Woods explains that he was now a born-again Christian.

Through all the hip hop blues and skipped guitar practices, he remained lion proud. “The wind blow, my dreads swing/ He had hair like wool, like Wayne (huh)”

Holy Bible For Rastafari, Haile Selassie remains their God and their King. They see Selassie as being worthy of worship, and as having stood with great dignity in front of the world’s press and in front of representatives of many of the world’s powerful nations, especially during his appeal to the League of Nations in 1936, when he was still the only independent black monarch in Africa. From the beginning the Rastas decided that their personal loyalty lay with Africa’s only black monarch, Selassie, and that they themselves were in effect as free citizens of Ethiopia, loyal to its Emperor and devoted to its flag representing the Solomonic Dynasty prior to the Communist coup.
Dread Loc Rasta AS FOR ITS MEANING, WE CAN REASON THAT JESUS WAS A MAN OF AFRICAN DESCENT, JUDGING BY THIS DISTRIBUTION. AFTER ALL HE WAS HEBREW / OF JEWISH DESCENT--”THE ROOT OF JUDAH” WHICH ORIGINATES FROM THE AREA OF ETHIOPIA IN AFRICA.
REVELATION 1:14-16 (NEW TESTAMENT).
Black History
The first pharaoh of Ancient Egypt was Narmer,(also referred to as Menes)-who also united Upper and Lower Egypt. …. Blacks should look to Africa for the crowning of a Black King. Garvey maintained: “We Negroes believe in the God of Ethiopia, the everlasting God – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, the one God of all ages. That is the God in whom we believe but we shall worship him through the spectacles of Ethiopia.” (Campbell 1985:61)
The Saying that hair is a womans crowning glory, is indeed very true... Because a woman’s appearance is immediately uplifted by the crown and her head. Like everything in fashion, hairstyles come and go and so in age, what styles are in vogue? Allure’s Carol Arhere wrote that braids and cornrows have become a popular alternative for Africa’s fashion conscious women. BRAIDS and cornrows have been around for years, they have remained popular because they are cheap to maintain and they are versatile. They allow the wearer to do several styles creating different exciting looks. Braids and cornrows are with many ladies because they give the wearer’s natural hair time to recover from the rigors of relaxers and other chemical products. In recent times, more woman and even men have turned to braids and cornrows. Braiding involves taking three strands of hair, starting at the scalp, and over laying one strand on another, until the desire effect is created. While cornrows are braids under woven to lie flat on the head and then sculpted into simple or complex parting and sectioning. There are different types of braids and cornrows.

Dreadlocks are simply the natural form black hair takes when it is allowed to grow on its own. If a person of African descent, man or woman simply stops combing, brushing, and applying chemicals to the hair, the short, curly strands will eventually spiral around each other, until it forms a lock beginning almost at the root. For the more trendy dreads, a stylist would have to braid the hair into the specific designs then let it lock, or make twists and apply beeswax to them periodically throughout the growth process to secure the shape of the dreads. However, I also believe that the trend toward wearing dreadlocks goes much deeper than maintaining healthy hair and fashion. It’s also a way for African Americans to express themselves and pride in their culture. Throughout the entire history of African Americans in the United States, African culture has been looked down upon. Everything from skin color, music, language, and art has been considered inferior to their equivalents from other cultures. Only in recent times have people of African descent on the whole begun to realize that their African and African American heritages are a source of pride, the same way Irish and Italian peoples for example, are proud of their heritage.
