Five streets ( secondary ) connected to Africa Avenue having a major impact on the site - presence of important city level nodes; 30mts wide streets, segregating areas. : • WTC Road - Proposed site for World Trade Center. • Chaudhry Jhandu Singh Marg - has major schools, clinics and RDX dhaba. • Church Road - weekly fruit and vegetable market. • Deer Park Road - along the edge of deer park. • Chaudhry Harsukh Marg - Market area and schools.

Stage 3: Redefining Streets The streets are enclosed within the built space and is only used as a means of commute and encroachment. The street scape if developed as a usable space, will bring transition of the edge characters and bind the space together. Hence, the strategy is to use streets as multimodal spaces that enrich the surrounding built environment.
• Increasing interaction between different characteristic zones on the site by keeping independent identity intact.
• Organising and connecting the nodes and introducing activities to charge dormant areas.
• Creating transition zones to increase interaction between the existing built edges.

Street Zoning
Built Edge
Right-of-Way
Livability Zone Shared Path
Carriageways are replaced by shared space in the case of narrow, traffic-calmed streets where motor vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists coexist. Max Speed motor - 15km/hr
Footpath
Roadway Zone
Cyclepath
Footpaths are a critical element of the streetscape. they constitute the primary public space of a city and are accessible to all users, regardless of age, gender, or special needs. Pedestrian speed 1km/hr-6km/hr With assistance 1-1.8 km/hr

Junction Treatment Continuation of cycle path and foot path along the edges of the secondary streets
Traffic lights to regulate traffic movement.
Diversion of footpath and cycle path to the edge
Pedestrian island to signify continuity of pedestrian route and regulate traffic driction Zebra crossing and cycle crossing to allow diversion to edge and allow access of central livability zone
Built Edge Response Residential Edge
