Jake Dolosa graduated with a Fine Arts degree in Information Design from the Ateneo de Manila University. In 2011, he was chosen as one of the awardees for the Loyola Schools Awards for the Arts. He currently works as a graphic designer for Mandarin Oriental, Manila.

The logo is a stylized rendition of a wreath of leaves -- a demonstration of the company’s commitment to organic ingredients. The logo is circular so as to represent longevity. The linear element of the circle conveys energy, dynamism, and vigor.

The inspiration for the logo is the concept of an enclosed space or a structure -- hence the geometrical look. Vibrant colors were used so as to balance out the otherwise industrial look of the emblem.

Opted for a straightforward yet subtle approach to the logo, which is a simplified illustration of theater curtains. The type is an allusion to the Art Deco style -a period reminiscent of the golden age of theaters.

Logo design for Mandarin Oriental, Manila’s outdoor bar and restaurant. A simple typographical treatment was used but given a playful element through the two o’s which are made to resemble like water bubbles.

For The Tivoli’s campaign, the visual art concept was retained to tie up both the hotel’s outlets. Inspired by abstract art and landscape architecture, the photo depicts food as though a painting plated on canvas.

A print advertisement for Mandarin Deli promoting breads. Warm tones were used so as depict the warmth of the freshly baked breads. The photo was even shot while the breads are still baking in the oven, which adds to its rustic and artisanal appeal.

Chosen as one of the finalists for the Artwork Shirt Design contest. The design was inspired by Pintados, pre-colonial Filipino warriors with full body tattoos of different geometric patterns, as well as Filipino indigenous textile.
