Mrs Funmi Ogbue CEO

As CEO of Jake Riley, Funmi brings her wide experience as a human resources professional, facilitator and change manager. She is passionate about implementing change, revitalising and restructuring companies to drive them forward to maximise their potential. She brings her dynamic energy to Jake Riley, where her previous 23 years project work experience for multinationals in West Africa gives her a strong basis for developing business for Jake Riley. She successfully led the HR restructuring by Jake Riley for the NPHCDA (National Primary Health Care Development Agency) in 2010, featured elsewhere in this brochure. Her previous roles include HR Director at British American Tobacco, responsible for the development of HR strategy and execution in four countries (Nigeria, Benin, Niger and Togo). She has also worked in senior HR positions in multinational companies, developing and implementing strategies to support HR and change programmes in corporations such as Shell, Canadian Occidental Petroleum in Calgary, Canada, Ibadan Distribution Company, and Mercer Mergers and Acquisitions in the US and the UK. Funmi has a MSc. in Organizational Change and Development from the University of Manchester and a BSc. In Sociology, from the University of Lagos.

Bose Oladeinde – Abiodun Executive Project Manager

Born in Nigeria and educated in the USA, Bose has a BA in Marketing Communications and over 15years experience in the professional services sector. In her role as executive project manager at Jake Riley Limited, Bose is spearheading the planning, advertising, public relations, product development and research for our clients in both the private and public sectors.


FEMI ADEFILA

Head of Public Relations and Media Femi Adefila’s career has been spent on both sides of the political media, first as a newscaster and reporter for the Broadcasting Corporation of Osun State, then as executive media assistant and spokesperson for the Osun State government. A former Special Assistant to the Minister of State for Defence, and a public relations expert specializing in government and political communications, with roles including press relations, political marketing and international relations. His academic qualifications include an MSc in peace and humanitarian studies and an MCA in media and public relations from the University of Ibadan.

Endre Buzogany

Creative Services Director An award-winning creative services specialist with over 20 years’ industry experience and in-depth knowledge of print and digital management processes. Endre has worked in sectors including Art, Automotive, Finance, Healthcare/Pharma, Hospitality/Tourism, Luxury Goods, Natural resources (Oil & Gas), point of sale, publishing and events/exhibitions (both B2B and B2C). He is a developer of proven production processes (concept to implementing) and proficient in current industry standard software. As an accomplished multi-faceted professional, strategic thinking and improved output are at the heart of everything Endre does. He is driven by the desire to further potential, streamline performance and promote innovation as value creation tools for business success.

Elsie Boateng

Head of Editorial Elsie has over 7 years experience as a marketing and communications executive working with some of the biggest brands in the UK. A journalist and copywriter by training, her specialities include executive and marketing communications, advertising and social media management, Proofreading (EN-GB) and translation (EN-US etc. to EN-GB), reviewing, rewriting, creative copy, branding and identity, account management, project management and digital marketing. Elsie has a BSc from the University of the West of England, Bristol and a Masters degree from the University of East London.

Transforming Nigeria’s aviation industry Federal Ministry of Aviation We were the masterminds behind the media campaigns, events and publications like JetLife Nigeria Magazine that has raised the profile of Nigeria’s aviation sector.

Product segmentation campaign UBA Group We provided a compelling multi-strand media campaign to help the UBA Group segment its products to provide more individualized banking.

Dansa Save a Million Lives programme Federal Ministry of Health We have worked with the federal government in promoting its programmes to improve the health of Nigerians.

We designed and implemented an advertising campaign for Dansa’s ‘Kool Sip’ soft drink brand across multiple media platforms.


CORPORATE BROCHURES, NEWSLETTERS & WEBSITE DESIGN Compact Manifold and Energy Services (CMES) We worked with CMES to produce a new corporate brochure to project the company’s capabilities to potential new partners, home and abroad.

Design Studeo We redesigned Design Studeo’s logo and produced a range of promotional material including a new brochure, and corporate stationery.

Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources We produced two major publications for this key ministry. The Petroleum Industry Review 2012 and the Petroleum Reform Post.

LEKOIL We worked with Nigerian oil exploration and production company LEKOIL to produce its new brochure, and recently to improve their website.

Nidogas We were asked to refresh the company’s image by designing a new logo and producing a 26-page promotional brochure and a range of company stationery.

Fascinating Nigeria @ World Travel Market London, ExCeL We organized the launch of this campaign. We also designed and managed the Fascinating Nigeria stand at the 2013 World Travel Market in London ExCeL.

Fifth Chukker Polo & Country Club We produced and managed the launch of the Fifth Chukker Magazine, as well as an exclusive fashion show at the club in Kaduna.

Support Our Troops Launch Event

Access Bank Day Polo Event Ham Polo Club We organized this exclusive event in London as the first Fifth Chukker Polo & Country Club event outside Nigeria for UNICEF’s work in northern Nigeria.

We produced, managed and launched this prestigious charity. We continue to provide print and digital advertising solutions.

Business Breakfast Forum series UBA Group We were tasked with the branding and messaging of the Business Breakfast Forum event Series.


CHANGE MANAGEMENT Hygeia HMO Abuja Investment Company Limited (2009) We implemented a company-wide redevelopment of branding, vision and organization structure. These changes were introduced to employees at an all-staff launch retreat in Abuja.

Abuja Market Management Limited We identified changes needed in portfolio segmentation, staff reorganization (including departures and recruitment of new staff) to facilitate service delivery, overhead reduction and increased revenue and profitability.

Abuja Urban Mass Transport Company Ltd We were engaged to revamp performance. As a result we performed an organisational review, redesign of their organisational chart and personnel assessment. This led to recommendations that produced a leaner and more efficient organization.

We were called in to help identify essential changes to improve performance. At a Group Leadership Alignment Retreat, we worked together towards changes in business culture, internal communication, processes and personnel management in order to reposition the company for a more dynamic future.

National Primary Health Care Development Agency We worked with the NPHCDA to create a resultsorientated organization. We conducted annual management board and management teambuilding sessions that enabled the agency develop their strategic leadership agenda, focus areas and what they wanted to achieve as a team. We also helped with recruitment, development of performance targets and psychometric assessments of all management staff of the agency.


EXECUTIVE RECRUITMENT Past clients have included the Nigerian National Primary Health Care Development Agency (please see details on other pages) and, in the private sector, ULO Consultants, UBA Group and Zain. The latter, a Kuwait-based mobile telecommunications giant (formerly known as MTC) operating in 22 countries across the Middle East and Africa, engaged us to conduct the search for two senior customer experience executives for their expanding Nigerian operation.

In 2012 we were appointed by Nigeria Machine Tools, the leading manufacturer of machine tools, machine accessories, mechanical spares and after sales support provider in West Africa, to find candidates for three key senior positions – General Manager/Chief Operating Officer, Production Manager and Head Production Engineering. From 48 applications, we provided a shortlist of six candidates for interview.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT United States African Development Foundation (USADF) Working as advisors and consultants with USADF, we were closely involved in the development of Liberia’s private sector. USADF gives financial and technical support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping them realise their goals of becoming competitive, profitable businesses, while swtimulating job creation and economic growth. We provided management advisory support to several SMEs, identifying ways to build up their operational, financial and marketing capacity.

Business Partnerships Overseas firms who have found business with Nigerian partners through our services include Beumer/Crisplant (baggage handling systems, Denmark), Ammeraal Beltech, (baggage belting systems, The Netherlands), L-3 (airport security systems, USA), I-SEC (security systems, The Netherlands), VCS (specialist vehicles, UK) and Fraport (airport management services, Germany). More recently, We helped Biloritz Nigeria, an indigenous oil and gas EPC company, to refine its corporate presentation to demonstrate its introduction of market-leading RFID technology, increasing its attractiveness to potential overseas investors and partners.
