Editor’s Note

4 positive daily habits to remember The beautiful you has so many components. Entrepreneurs shape the world, because only you see what others can’t. This is an important space to occupy. Creativity is the outgrowth of the natural genius that you inhabit. Mediate on these thoughts: 1. Give thanks daily. Saying thanks to the universe and your blessings will double. 2. You are your personal brand. People will treat you how they perceive you, so make a memorable impression. 3. Mind your thoughts. What is in you will come out of you, if pushed. Remember the old saying: mash ants and you will see the guts. 4. Treasure your temple. You are to be honored and respected; never let anyone treat you differently. We salute our MDs for their innovations; our community is a better place because of their talents. Janice K. Maxwell - editor

Musical Notes

dahzeh were the proud finalists of ‘The World Reggae Contest’, 2016. They were chosen as the premier contestant; a placement garnered after eighty-one (81) global bands vied for the top ten positions. Adahzeh topped the final list of contestants after positions were refined through public voting to arrive in the top five (5). They obtained over twenty-four percent (24%) of the total votes. On Sunday August 14, 2016, Adahzeh graced the “Red Stage” alongside artistes such as Jah9, Kabaka Pyramid, Nattali Rize, Tarrus Riley, Alaine, Dean Fraser, Delle, Katchafire, Ras Muhammad and fellow competitors Rapha Pico, The Dubbeez, Etna Kontrabande and Quartiere Coffee. The audience experienced a fire blazing performance from Adahzeh; high energy from the beginning to the end, with a wide variety of songs from Ska, Rock Steady and Reggae both covers and originals such as Island Girl, Flow, Natty and Critically Low just to name a few. Adahzeh shared stages with some of Reggae’s best at many iconic shows within Jamaica. These include one of the greatest reggae shows on earth ‘Reggae 8

Sumfest’ and at the well-known charity event ‘The Jamaica Cancer Society’s Relay for life’. In aid of financing their trip to the Ostroda Reggae Festival in Poland, the girls graced their ‘own’ stage by hosting a fundraising concert 'Reggae in the Vineyard' in which they pulled out all the stops in making sure their dreams come true. The event was covered by Eprime, RETV and 'eventsRusonline.com'. In the closing review of eventsRus they stated and I quote "Adahzeh definitely sweetened the vineyard". Adahzeh performed at the popular charity show ‘St. Mary Mi Come From’ which promotes reggae music and then following that they blazed the stage of the annual Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Miss Festival Queen Coronation 2016. The crowd was well receptive and this demonstrated that the band was ready for the performance they have been waiting for, Poland. Adahzeh- finalists in the World Reggae Contest 2016 competed at the Ostroda Reggae Festival in Poland and what they left behind on that stage, captivated the people of Poland and attracted bookers all over the world. Their name resounded through Poland as they exhilarated the stage. Adahzeh have been doing 'nonstop' work in the studio, radio and television interviews. So, sweetening the lips of every human being is the name 'ADAHZEH'. Be on the lookout for Adahzeh's EP, 'Journey' that will soon be available on iTunes, Amazon etc.
