5th Battalion The Norfolk Regiment group of medals to Private Sydney Doy. £500 - £600 Private Doy landed in Gallipoli in August 1915, surviving the costly and often recounted attack on the 12th of August 1915 before being discharged sick just after the war. He sadly died in 1919 and therefore qualified for a very scarce silver war badge and memorial plaque double combination. Private Doy is buried at the cemetery on Hardwick Road in his native King’s Lynn Denmark Danneburg Gold Cross, cross pattee, Royal Cypher with the Danish £800 - 1000 Royal Crown, cypher of Christian V at centre, motto 'GUD/OG/KON/GEN'; Rev 1219,1671,1808, dates of Royal ascension.
