The Royal Oak ‘The Royal Oak’, a small country pub in the heart of the Cotswolds, has just had a total refurbishment of their interior, and are getting ready for the big re-opening night. As part of the pub’s refurbishment, they are looking to get some unique items printed for them to use in the venue. They would like a designer to create a totally custom typebased drinks coaster that they
are going to get specially printed with quality materials and inks. At the moment they don’t really have much in the way of branding, and so are completely open to how a designer wants to embellish their pub’s name with custom lettering and typography. The client would like a few different designs to chose from, and they are keen on typographic crests that incorporate icons and
illustrative representations of foods and drinks you’d find in a pub. Consider how the coasters will stand out at the busy bar, and how they will work together as a set and, also, individually.
