Believe it or not, the history of sewing goes back to 20,000 years from today, right from the last ice age for that matter. Many archaeologists have found that needles were used to sew fur and skin together too. Imagine that, right from the prehistoric times! It was invented by Thomas Saint and was used to sew leather and canvas.

The tailoring machine grew in popularity to such huge extents that today it is seen more as a machine that gives you a chance to hone a hobby more than anything else. Even at home, you look towards your old silai machine for a small tear or a rip in your shirt, the ease of using one of these machines has become the biggest advantage it has to boast about.
