Choose Right Fishing Rod For Bluefish
There are different types of fishing rods available in the market. So, which is the best one for catching bluefish? For you to know, I will tell you first the different kinds of rods used for this fish and how it works. First, there's walking stick rod. This type comes with a lot of variations so you should choose depending on your needs. This rod is usually 10 to 20 feet long, made of fiberglass or graphite and has a solid tip section that helps you cast further than your usual range. You can use this for bigger fishes like bluefish but I don't recommend it since it has lot's of play at the tip. It also bends down pretty far from the tip. It is made for casting big lures and baits but it's not really well suited to small lures that much, especially if you're going to use them for bluefish. Second, the spinning rod. This one comes with a handle attached at the bottom part of the rod. When fishing, you hold this handle to load the rod and release it to cast your line. This is best used on fishes like bluefish, mackerels and whatnot, small ones. If you use bigger lures for bigger fish, this will not suit them well. It's also more convenient to use for beginners since it's easier to handle. However, there are also disadvantages of using this fishing rod like: it's hard to cast with small lures, you can't achieve long casts and these rods are pretty light. Thirdly, the bait casting rod is the least used one for catching bluefish. This rod comes with long handles and a sliding ring called "line guide." It has a strong backbone and is great for casting small lures and baits. Although it's the most expensive type, it's also strong and durable. If you're going to use your fishing rod for catching fishes like bluefish that are small in size, then this is the best choice if you don't want to use a spinning or walking stick rod. Lastly, there are the telescopic rods. This is the most convenient rod but not that much strong as compared to other types. You can use it for almost anything including big fishes like bluefish and small ones also, depending on how you handle it. Telescopic rods are available in different lengths, anywhere from 8 feet to 20 feet long. If you want a fishing rod which is strong, convenient and durable, these are the ones you should go for. As you can see from the different types of rods I mentioned above, choosing a fishing rod really depends on what you want to catch and how big they are. Choosing a right one will help you catch more fishes in no time! So, which is the best rod for bluefish? I would say it's a bait casting rod. Good luck!
