As the weather gets warmer and the youth population continues to grow in Hainault the area Hainault becomes less and less suitable for the youth and people who like to stay fit . As a result of this residents often have to leave the area of Hainault to do activities to do with fitness and fun , Because of this issue I think it is suitable to design a leisure center at the location of the old bank on new north road that was shut down . This would be good for the local community because by creating a leisure center in Hainault this will bring residents of Hainault together and they will not need to travel to other areas to stay fit and do activities that they would like to do to either fit or socialize .

Le Corbusier was a swiss-french architect who was also a painter , urban planner and writer is credited with being one of the forerunners of what is known today as modern architecture . Le Corbusier was born in switzerland and became a french president in 1930 .

Celtic knots, which were employed in their artwork, pottery, and even tattoos, were eventually appropriated by Christians as a sign of the Holy Trinity and used to adorn churches and sacred writings. Celtic knots were utilized by the Vikings, although the symbols used by ancient druids and those that adorn the savage warriors' ale horns varied greatly from one another. We'll go over the development and variations of these woven designs, which were employed by both Celtic and Norse cultures.

Tessellation is when we cover a surface with a pattern of flat shapes so that there are no overlaps or gaps. Tessellation is often created when a shape is repeated over and over again . Tessellation is usually used as a maths technique but it can be applied in the architectural design of buildings for example the gherkin which is located in London uses tessellation for the glass design across the building

This is the Juan Carlos Beiro Sports Center based in Langroo , Spain.

The Juan Carlos Beiro sports centre is a sports centre that includes a basketball court and swimming pool . The roof top has a question mark like shape that allows the swimming pool part to have a high ceiling as it curves up .

The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,500 m² building complex in Baku, Azerbaijan designed by IraqiBritish architect Zaha Hadid and noted for its distinctive architecture and flowing, curved style that eschews sharp angles.

The Beijing national also known as the Birds nest stadium was designed to hold the 2008 summer Olympics and Paralympics and also has large screens installed in the stands . The bird nest stadium has a unique exoskeleton like design that goes all the way around the whole structure that gives the stadium a complex bird nest like look . When designing my final model I can implements aspects of this complex stadium into my design to make my design more complex so it becomes more interesting.

Hainault: New North Road

Surrounding the London teaching pool ltd there is not much going on aside from residential houses and Hainault station which is one of the two stations in Hainault . The houses surrounding my site one side of my site all share a similar shape , especially when It comes to the roof top of the houses as they all share a low rectangular pyramid shape . As a resident of Hainault I know lots of other residents of the area love all types of sports even though there is a lack of sports facilities around the area . The most sports like facility in my area is Manford way park which includes a basketball court and poor outside gym equipment .

. This is beneficial because as I am building a leisure centre It would be more beneficial if it is easy to find so by placing it on New north road which is a main road this allows it to bee sighted easier .

New North road is the road that runs along the northside of site . During rush hour this road can get very busy so its important that I bear in mind that a lot of people will be seeing my leisure center when passing by. ALLOTMENT

Going further down the westside on new north there is Hainault station which is only a 5 min walk away from my site . This is makes my leisure center easy to get to by public transport as the station isn't to far from my site and there is a bus stop right outside my site.

On this page I explored that possible moves that could be done on my site and thought about the paths of movement that could be created within my site.

After exploring possible moves that can be done on my site I picked out one building shape and sketched it . By doing this It his made it easier to visualize how the building and out door space would look .

When designing my model I could place this on the roof top café as mini walk throughs . By adding this it could be used as shelter but can also make my café model more interesting .
