INTRODUCTION James Pendleton is an independent Estate Agent specialising in residential property for sale and to rent in London. We have ten offices in London covering Balham, Battersea (Northcote Road), Battersea Park, Brixton, Chelsea, Clapham Common, Clapham North, Clapham South, Earlsfield, Fulham, Lambeth, Nine Elms, Parsons Green, Putney, Southfields, Stockwell, Streatham, Tooting, Victoria, Wandsworth Common, Wandsworth Town and The Tonsleys as well as specialist Property Management, New Homes and Riverside offices. We also run distinct specialist International, Land, New Homes and Investment departments from our offices.
All of our prime offices are situated in attractive, accessible locations and we pride ourselves on our welcoming, customer focused and informative neighbourhood presence. Our multi-office marketing approach means that our clients benefit from increased exposure and convenience and our buyers and tenants are introduced to an extended property portfolio by a single point of contact, simplifying their search process. 2014/15 has seen the expansion of our International, Land, New Homes and Investments departments, the opening of a Battersea and Riverside office and the development of a specialised Short Lets department. Our website, rebuilt and redesigned last year, has flourished and developed over 2014/15.

01 CONCEPT When developing the website we aimed to ‘go that little bit further’ by improving the customer experience through attractive design, clear layout, minimal clicks, responsiveness and innovative features. Since its implementation in 2013/14 we have streamlined the site’s functionalities and appearance based on feedback from clients and our team.

02 APPEARANCE Our site is designed to make navigating our pages and contacting our team as simple and intuitive as possible. Formulated by our in-house designers, our site’s appearance combines large, crisp images with clear menu layouts and bold calls-to-action. Our objectives with regard to appearance are:

Property images and details displayed fully above the fold so they can be seen as soon as the user arrives on the home page

03 FUNCTIONALITY Our site’s functionalities were developed with each of our client groups in mind; every section of the site is developed in order to make the journey of that section’s likely users hassle-free. •
Easy access to contact forms (‘email us’, ‘arrange a viewing’, ‘book a valuation’, ‘mortgage calculator’, ‘rental yield calculator’) contact page and Social Media sharing from all pages

The most often used sections of the site displayed on the homepage top bar, with all other pages accessible in the footer

Photographs: as well as being displayed at the top of each page in a large format interactive slideshow, property images are also available to view as thumbnails, a clickable fullscreen slideshow or an automated slideshow

Videos were created and added to the landing pages of each of our departments to catch and hold attention whilst concisely explaining our services

06 INTERFACE Before working on page designs we made a complete map of the site in-house and used it as the basis for all ensuing design, development and content production to ensure clarity in the final version. Our site is easy to use, with the following features simplifying the search process: •

Cookie trails are present to guide visitors back through previously visited pages
