ENDOWMENT

Building the future of the University of Jamestown What is the Endowment?

Thanks to our supporters, the University of Jamestown’s Endowment is now $35 million—an impressive number we anticipate growing to over $50 million. All gifts to the Endowment are invested in the University’s pooled endowment fund with scholarships awarded annually according to the University’s investment policy statement and under the direction of the Board of Trustees. For example, if one establishes a named endowed scholarship at a minimum of $10,000 (payable over time), the $10,000 gift is invested and no more than $500 is given annually as a student scholarship. There are also opportunities of giving in any amount to the General Endowment, as well as to specific endowed programs.

Why is the Endowment important?

The University of Jamestown’s Endowment is important because it allows donors to invest in the University in a way that exists in perpetuity. It gives the opportunity of leaving a lasting legacy that will forever impact the University of Jamestown and our students, faculty, and staff. This is truly an endorsement of the University of Jamestown’s future.
