Celebrate the Arts at the This fall, there will also be opportunities for YOU to join the choir or band on stage during the All School Celebration which occurs September 28 through October 1. If you would like to start rehearsing now, the choir will sing “Praise to the Lord” arranged by F. Melius Christiansen, and “The Old Ship of Zion” by Dr. Richard H. Smith—UJ’s beloved former choir director.

Our student-artists bring joy to their audiences—whether they are playing an instrument, singing a song, creating a painting, or acting on stage. The skills learned, and the friendships made while participating in the arts last a lifetime.

At UJ, the mission of Friends of the Fine Arts includes “providing our students opportunities to develop their understanding of acting, music, and art on a worldly and academic stage.” The Friends’ efforts also enhance the experiences of our students. For example, recently the Friends of the Fine Arts helped purchase an automated light, which students will use in technical theatre classes as well as in theatre productions.
