Edible Review: Solace Meds’ Chai High: Healing Tea
Fu-Qua Johnson Ganja Gazette
I couldn’t wait a month to share this new product at Nature’s Herbs and Wellness Center. Solace Meds’ Chai High: Healing Tea was amazing in every way, and I wanted you folks to know about it as soon as possible. This tea is made by Solace Meds out of Denver, and the label says, “The Strongest Tea in Colorado.” Their Chai High: Healing Tea comes in a twelve ounce bottle and it contains 316.39 mgs in each bottle (WOW!). I decided that for a quality review, I would need to drink the entire bottle for the full effect of the drink. I didn’t consume it all at once, though, because of the high MGS. Instead, I shook it really well (it is non-carbonated) and drank half of it. This drink was exactly what the doctor ordered, and it tasted really good. Solace Meds calls this drink “Healing Tea,” and they don’t lie. The effect came over me nice and slow, and it
took about forty five minutes to really kick in. Two hours passed and I was feeling very medicated. I decided to drink the rest of the beverage, and let me tell you, I felt awesome in every way. I had absolutely no pain in my lower back and felt a tingle all over my body. I can really say I was in heaven for the evening because I could sleep throughout the night without my back hurting. The medication came over my entire body in waves. I would highly recommend this drink for anyone suffering from chronic pain of any kind, and especially for those who would love to sleep
pain free. By drinking half at first, and then the rest two hours later, the effects were drawn out over a longer period of time. I really couldn’t tell you what the effect would be like if you drank the entire bottle in one sitting. Always remember, know your body and medicate responsibly. Solace Meds doesn’t advertise this beverage as “the strongest tea in CO” for nothing.

Using Growroom Documentation Strain Type: The Falcon Ganja Gazette Once undertaking a medical Cannabis grow, and understanding the fundamentals, it will soon be time to manage, in writing, the operations of the grow room. This is a great way to chart results (especially when growth mediums, nutrition schedules, or other variables have been altered), which will make being able to predict future harvests and plan future work easier. This column will deal with a few ways that a grower can use simple planning, with a pen on paper, to make the entire grow operation run more efficiently. Plant Formulas:
Nutrition
Most growers use a “cocktail” made of one or more different fertilizers and/or nutrient solutions at different stages of growth. The differences in the composition of these cocktails will sometimes cause and sometimes correct problems with Cannabis growth, namely, nutrient deficiencies. These formulas can be tweaked over time, and the results can be notated. Things like “the addition of Product ‘A’ caused a similar yield, but a noticeable increase in aroma” should be noted for future production. This step, as far as keeping track of exactly what is being given to the ladies, when, and in what amount, is also imperative if the grower ever has to leave town (seems like we all do!) and needs to leave the crop in the hands of a trusted friend. It’s much easier to have things written down in a concise format that can be explained to another person, then referenced by that person, than it is to leave them guessing and confused.
It is a very good idea to keep an eye on strain composition within a garden. It might be a good idea to put multiple strains all in one area (some taller ones around the perimeter of the garden, some shorter ones in the middle), but keep in mind that some strains of Cannabis take 8 weeks or so to flower and be ready to harvest, and some take 14. So it’s going to get confusing and awkward when trying to give two strains with a six week differential in their flowering cycles nutrient solution on the same watering day. Make sure to separate strains so that they all take pretty close to the same number of days to flower. Make specific notes about flowering cycles when growing a strain for the first time, so that all future data is based on empirical evidence. Days to Harvest: In addition to this factor being used to assemble different groupings of strains, this trait is used every time a new group of plants is “flipped,” or put into a flowering room. This information, combined with the exact date of the “flip,” can allow growers to forecast future harvesting times in order to budget, etc. Days On/Days Off: It is possible, once the grower decides that it takes “X” number of days for the pots to dry out and/ or nutrient solution reservoir changes to be required, to forecast every single watering for the entire life of the crop! Simply make a modified calendar, starting with the current day, and make a mark on each interval, so there is never any confusion about which days to water, or change out nutrient solution. Every grower has probably had at least one time where it was difficult to remember if the garden was watered on Tuesday, or if it was Monday, and a simple chart can take all the guesswork out of the equation!
Pathogen Treatment: Inevitably, every garden is eventually infested with some kind of unwanted bug, fungus, bacteria, or pest. Eventually, treatment of some kind of ailment will become necessary. Most of these types of treatment, every single one this author can think of, in fact, require being applied more than once and on a specific schedule. Keep some “Pathogen Treatment Schedules” handy. The first time the treatment is applied, make a notation on the appropriate date. Then, space out the scheduled subsequent treatments per the manufacturer’s recommendations on the handy little calendar. Growing quality organic medicine isn’t really all that difficult after some basic knowledge is learned, and applied. Using charts is a great way to add a level of organization to the grow room. Each grower should probably make their own system; that way, the information makes the most sense to the grower. The charts can be a constantly evolving part of the growing experience, as usage will certainly indicate what is working, and w h a t needs to be improved upon. S t a y safe and cool out there this s u m m e r, have fun, and grow w i t h care!

Huh, that’s weird... No Thank You... Colorado inmate Daniel Self filed a federal lawsuit in July against the Sterling Correctional Facility because prison personnel saved his life. They revived him after he had stopped breathing from an attack of sleep apnea, but he contends he had previously demanded to officials that he never be resuscitated, preferring to die rather serve out his life sentence.
A Rough Sport In 1978 the Oakland Raiders’ Jack Tatum made a vicious “clothesline” hit on New England Patriots’ receiver Darryl Stingley’s neck, causing permanent paralysis. At the time, Tatum arrogantly defended the play as legal and warned other opponents that they could expect the same from him. However, in January 1997, Tatum applied for disability benefits of $156,000 a year from the NFL Players’ Association, pointing to the mental anguish he has suffered having to live with the incident. (The $156,000 was, in 1997, the highest-payout category and was the same category that Stingley was in.) (Update: Tatum died in 2010, Stingley in 2007.)

News of Weird
Don’t Forget Dad! A Texas man found himself stranded in the middle of Tennessee during a road trip with his family. And he got out of the jam only after using Facebook to track down the van that had left him behind. The van was carrying his two children and was more than 100 miles away. “Somebody had been sleeping all night in the back, and they were gonna drive and I was gonna get in the back and sleep. I went inside to get my change for the gas, and they thought I was already loaded up and closed all the doors and took off.” His first reaction was to call someone in the van. But he realized he’d left his phone inside the vehicle to charge. He called his own phone, but no one answered. After several tries, the phone started going immediately to voice mail. That’s when the man feared the worst and called police. He says they weren’t much help. But employees at a nearby motel let him use their computers, where he logged in to Facebook. “Facebook is actually how I was able to get ahold of somebody and get them to get hold of somebody so that we could find out what’s going on,” he said. Despite the very strange circumstances, the man says he believes the whole incident was simply a huge misunderstanding. (c)2011 Chuck Shepherd. Reprinted with permission of Universal Uclick. A woman lost $2,000 in Palo Alto after she threw her purse at a passing car filled with teenagers who allegedly threw a milkshake in her face. The woman was walking across University Avenue near Rudy’s Pub Sunday when a white Range Rover full of teenagers drove by and allegedly threw a milkshake in her face. Authorities said the woman tried to get revenge by throwing her alligator skin purse at the passing vehicle. A window was open on the Range Rover and the purse landed in the car. The purse had several of the woman’s personal items and $2,000 in cash. Police are looking for the stylish purse and the teenagers, who are facing charges ranging from battery to possession of stolen property or misappropriation of property.
