La Imprenta, which translates into The Printing Office or The Printing Press, is a rustic Spanish restaurant which is situated in the Old City of London. The theme of the restaurant celebrates and pays homage to traditional printing methods such as woodblock type and letterpress and this is reflected in the banding of the restaurant.

I wanted to reflect and pay respect to traditional printing methods through my design so I researched into imagery and posters. I also had a look at restaurant branding which had a rustic feel to it.

INTERIORS
I have taken the photographs from the website of a small chain of restuarants called IbĂŠrica, they illustrate how I picture the interiors of La Imprenta to look like. IbĂŠrica is also a contemporary rustic spanish restaurant based in London and the aesthetic of the interior suit my restuarant well. The big open space could illustrate how the restaurant could have been refurbished in an old printing house.
