Friends and Neighbors,

This year marks our 5th annual spring production sale and as most of you would agree, I’m not sure where the last five years have gone! When we look back on those years, we are extremely grateful for the blessings we have received and the challenges we have overcome. We owe a good deal of our success to the support of our friends, family, and customers alike. It’s nearly impossible to operate in this business without an army of people helping in the background.

This season’s crop of bulls represents our most progressive to date. When you look at them from top to bottom, you will find both cow and heifer bulls that are stout, growthy, and genetically fit to succeed in our environment. They have been sorted several times for docility, performance, and most importantly foot quality. I’m a firm believer that longevity and fertility are the two most important traits in the cow calf business, and good footed cattle are the most likely to succeed.

As we look forward to the new year, the cattle market appears to be as strong and steady as most have seen in our lifetime. It’s rewarding for us to witness the success of so many of our customers, and we pray these prosperous times will last. There’s a great deal of opportunity that has presented itself to those of you that have stayed the course, and we are eager to supply genetics that can go out and help our customers capitalize on those opportunities.

Once again, I would like to thank each and every individual that has played a role in helping us build our brand and bring our dream to reality. The Lord has given us the best people to work with and we are forever grateful for your help and more importantly friendship as we continue to improve and grow our business.

Best Regards,

Jamie, Michelle, Wyatt, and Rayna Anchondo

Thanks to Our Crew

It takes a crew to keep all the wheels on the bus at our place. From breeding in the spring, right into farming and haying, and preparing for calving in the winter, Jamie, Eddie, and Sam deserve a lot of credit. They get pulled a lot of different ways at our operation and we couldn’t be more thankful for them and all the hard work they put in here. We also want to thank Clint Johnson, he always lends a helping hand whether it be keeping the choppers up and running or washing bulls at stock show he is always up for the task without hesitation. This year we also had Kai Wilkins join us in December helping to get the bulls ready for stock show as well as coming with us to Denver. It never mattered what we asked of him, he was always right on the spot to do it, we thoroughly enjoyed having his help!

Our operation spans wide with Dereck taking care of the manure spreading and custom chopping in the front range and come harvest you’ll see mom running the scale and dad in a truck. Those three are always a phone call away to help whatever the job may be, and they’ll drive especially fast to get out here if it involves watching Jesse. We are very grateful for the time they put in making Frank Cattle & Genetics what it is, and we couldn’t do it without them.

• Frank Armour 4047 is the most phenotypically superior yearling bull we have ever produced. His raw bone, power, and performance are something to admire, especially considering the skeletal correctness he maintains. The fun part is the unique pedigree behind this bull that allows for so much mating flexibility to both the phenotype and production crowds. We have never raised a bull of his caliber, and I anxiously await the opportunity to offer him to the public and most importantly put him to work in our own herd.

• One look at the photo of his flawless dam really puts the maternal potency of this cow family into perspective. And yes, she is every bit as good in person!

• This flush of Rainfall’s has created more excitement around our ranch than any other flush to date. It all started with his two sisters that highlighted our November female sale, with lot 4 Frank Angel 3388 topping the fall yearling division at $17,000.

• Lot 2 represents my favorite traits in one package. He’s perfect footed, easy fleshing, wide constructed, and his style really puts him over the top.

• I’d bet on 4055 to pass along his correct angus type and generate females like it’s his job. His young dam currently has a 371-day calving interval, a birth ratio of 96, and weaning ratio of 103 on 3 calves.

• Don’t overlook his figures either, this calving ease specialist ranks in the top 15% for BW and CED, along with SC, Claw, Angle, PAP, $M, and $W that all rank within the 10% or better of the breed.

S A V RAINFALL 6846

• Year after year these Rainfall cattle come to the front of our sale groups. I admire them for their extra muscle shape and classic Angus type, but most importantly they are some of the best footed cattle we have found.

• Lot 3 is no exception, he’s out of a beautiful uttered 4 yr old Overdrive daughter that has a weaning ratio of 110.

• One of the highest performing and growthiest bulls of his sire group. 4117 ranks in the top 10% for WW and REA EPD’s, and top 5% for SC and YW.

• We Kick off the exciting Ellingson Prolific sire group with one of the most powerful bulls in the offering. Lot 5 is packed full of red meat from end to end and is backed by one of the very best young cows we own. His dam MCC SuperMama 0010 is on the fast track becoming a donor for our program with a set of production records highlighted by an impressive 353 day calving interval.

• 4026 represents some of our most progressive genetics to date with both Maternal and performance traits that reach the top 1% of the breed. His impressive HP, $M, and $C lend to his potential as a foundation herd sire.

• His maternal brother Frank Profound 3000 was featured in our 2024 spring production sale and was purchased by Bear Mountain Angus of Palisade, NE.

Frank Playbook 2194, maternal brother

• 4072 is another powerful son of the wildly popular Prolific bull that continues to gain steam as more and more data is turned in. The extra style of lot 6 really sets him apart from the rest of the pack. He’s up headed and proud in his look, just as a good herd bull should be.

• If you study his pedigree, the longevity in the cow families behind him is nothing short of impressive, both the dam of his maternal grandsire and his maternal granddam are still in production at 12 yrs of age. Those Pioneer daughters have stood the test of time.

• Lot 7 is the natural calf of our productive Frank Beauty 810 donor that produced our top selling bull a year ago. Once again, she has out done herself with another high performing son that is cut from the same mold. Year in and year out we can depend on the Beauty cow family to deliver the most sought-after genetics.

• 4115 himself is as stout and rugged as we can make one and he ties it all together with one of the most impressive stat lines of the offering. Boasting 12 EPD’s that rank within the top 15% of the breed or better. Highlighted by outstanding Maternal and Management traits.

• We are committed to raising good footed, high-performing cattle, that have maternal longevity. Once again lot 8’s dam is a coming 10-year-old cow that never misses. She has given us several calving ease bulls that have an average birth ratio of 92 and a weaning ratio of 100.

• With top 10% CED and 20% BW EPD’s, 4034 stands out as the calving ease option of this power set of Prolific sons.

• There are generations of maternal predictability bred into lot 9. The pedigree is stacked from top to bottom with household names, and his top 1% $M figure makes him a real herd bull candidate.

• These Prolific sons represent such a productive type. They are big nutted and bold from every angle, but the best part about them is the extra performance that comes with their power and fleshing ability.

• 4073 offers explosive growth with EPD’s that reach the top 15% of the Angus breed. His steer calves will be ahead of the curve at weaning time.

• One look at his photo says it all. The youngest of his sire group may very well be the best. His muscle shape is unreal, and his presence is unmatched, if you are looking to put some beef and look back into your cow herd lot 11 can get it done.

• His beautiful donor dam is a maternal sister to our all-time high selling bull Frank Broadwater 1006 that is leaving a mark of his own. The Blanche cow family is one of our very best for foot improvement and phenotypic appeal. 4166 is quite simply one of the elite bulls of this year’s offering, he ranks in the top 1% of the Angus population for HP, Claw, Angle, and $M.

• We round out the sire group with a maternal brother to the impressive Broadwater bull. Just like his brother, he’s perfect footed and as shapely as you can make one. Once again, make note of his top 1% foot EPD’s.

• We start in to a new sire group with one of the most impressive calving ease bulls we have ever sold. Everything about this young Basin True Grit son is right. He is muscular and dense in the way he’s designed but still correct in his skeletal make up. Just as the EPD’s suggest, he’s excellent on his feet and legs.

• He comes from one of our most impressive cow lines, his dam is a maternal sister to our past 507 herd bull that has left a strong impact on our program. In her first year of production, she weaned Lot 13 off with an impressive 107 Weaning ratio. If you are looking for a calving ease bull with predictable foot improvement, outstanding eye appeal, and maternal function, Lot 13 is one of the most progressive we have ever offered.

• His extreme balance is highlighted by an impressive EPD profile that offers 11 traits ranked within the top 15% of the breed or better.

Lot 15

• These True North cattle have consistently done a great job for us. They come easy, grow well, and are extremely fertile. Lot 15 has impressed us since birth with his outstanding phenotype, but if you study his pedigree and EPD’s he really deserves consideration as an elite calving ease sire. He’s balanced in his traits and comes from the Beauty cow family that has done such an outstanding job around here.

• The only Bear Mtn North Star son in the offering is sure to make an excellent heifer bull. This sire group is taking the country by storm this year, with their exceptional calving ease, phenotype and balanced data package. Look for more great things to come from these genetics in the future

Bear Mtn North Star, Sire

• What an incredible flush of Barricade sons out of our impressive 6153 donor that recently topped the mature cow division in our fall female sale. The foot quality and longevity that is bred into these four studs is undeniable. Their full sisters that we have in production are some of our most fertile 3yr old cows.

• With a pedigree that is destined to work in the west, these bulls all cover the necessities to thrive. When you pull up the paperwork, they consistently offer growth, foot improvement, and have the potential to work at elevation with PAP figures that rank near the top of the breed.

• Aside from the benefits you see on paper, these bulls are flat out powerful in person, you won’t find a more consistent flush of bulls that are this big bodied, easy fleshing, and wide constructed. Take advantage of the opportunity to crank up the consistency in your herd for generations to come.

• We round out the Barricade group with another big stout yearling that has the performance to add extra pounds to a group of feeder calves.

• He too offers tremendous genetic value as the highest $C bull of his sire group and a PAP EPD that’s ranked within the top 5% of the breed.

• Lot 22 is the performance leader of the Barricade sire group with growth traits that hit the top 3% of the Angus population. But his statistical performance doesn’t end there, he too is near the top for Claw, Angle, & PAP. If you are looking to add power to your next calf crop, he should garner serious consideration.

• As an added bonus, his 4-yr old dam is one of our top performing young cows with a115 weaning ration on her first two calves.

• Ellingson Badlands is another new sire group to our lineup this year, and his leadoff yearling son is one of the elite herd bulls of our offering. One look at his photo and his quality is evident, but what’s most exciting is the cow family behind him. His dam is a direct daughter of our now deceased Blackcap 4023 donor cow that we could write a book about.

• To keep it short, the homework is done, and everything is in order here. From his potent pedigree to his elite BW to YW EPD spread, he offers outstanding balance across the board. My favorite part of his performance profile is his breed leading foot scores, $M, and $W.

Ellingson Badlands 4167, Sire

• Another good footed, calving ease Badlands son that is backed by a 12-year-old cow that never misses. These are the kind of genetics that will work for a living and stand the test of time.

• To date Frank Broadwater 1006 is the highest selling bull we have ever marketed at $25,500 and he is proving his worth in production. They are some of the most eye catching and phenotypically correct cattle we have ever raised. They are flawless in their foot and leg structure, the sons are big testicled, and just like their father, they offer a strong Angus character with remarkable presence and style.

• We take a lot pride in raising cattle that fit our environment and lot 27 does that as well as any bull in the offering. He’s sensible in his size but still has the performance and power necessary for profit. 4068 is one of the strongest phenotype bulls in the offering that puts some of our most exciting genetics in a nearly flawless package.

• The beef business is all about balance and lot 28 balances as well as any. He blends those strong phenotypic traits of his sire with a very progressive data set. Make note of his top 15% PAP EPD along with his extra marbling and strong $C figure.

VISION

• You won’t find a more shapely, stout, and good footed yearling angus bull. I like his extra ruggedness and muscularity. He’s the kind that will hold his shape throughout the summer and look good coming off cows in the fall. His maternal grandmother can be found in the pedigree of many of our top sellers in the past.

FRANK BROADWATER 4125

• Lot 31 is the growthiest and stoutest Broadwater of them all. He offers top 10% EPD’s along with an outstanding REA figure that reaches the top 10% as well.

• This bull is very photogenic, and every bit as good as the photo in person. He’s striking in his presence and should generate the kind of daughters we all love to see in the pasture. His perfect uddered Exclusive dam has a 352 day calving interval on her first two calves and settled back A.I. again this year.

• 4085 is a smooth made, low BW Broadwater son out of a very productive Overdrive daughter. Make note of his top 15% $M and $W indexes.

Lots 33-35 The No Doubt X Beauty 1134 Flush Mates

• The Hoover No Doubt mating back on our Beauty 1134 donor has been a staple of consistency for us. These are good footed, long spined, and easy fleshing type cattle that have the extra punch their sire is known for.

• Their beautiful 14 yr old dam is still in production for us and has quite literally never missed. Her influence is found in many of our most prominent pedigrees, and the value she has brought to our herd will be felt for generations to come. These three stout yearling sons represent an opportunity to invest in genetics that are bred to thrive right here in western NE.

• Sticking with the Beauty cow family, lot 36 is a direct son of 1134’s most productive daughter Frank Beauty 810. He is also a full brother to the high selling bull of our 2024 sale that sold for $17,000 to the Ray Ranch of Chappell, NE.

• As we anxiously await his first sisters to calve, I’m excited for 4031’s potential as a heifer bull that has the growth and performance to do it all. His maternal potency is highlighted by his impressive CEM figure that ranks in the top 1% of the Angus breed.

• Lot 36 is a maternal brother to lot 7

• The Coleman Below Zero sons are another new sire group that we decided to add to our line up for 2025. We used him with the intention of making Calving ease bulls that will work at elevation, while utilizing proven genetics from one of the best maternal cow herds in the business. I think it’s safe to say he exceeded our expectations.

• Lot 37 is the natural calf out of our up and coming 927 donor who is also the donor dam of lot 11. 4166B is a negative BW & PAP bull that offers an impressive top 10% HP. The best part is that he still has the strong look and type of his impressive dam.

• His genetic predictors are an impressive bonus. He ranks within the top 1% of the breed for BW, Claw, PAP, and HS, the top 2% for CED, Angle, and $M, and he ranks in the top 5% for HP.

• Another eye catching Below Zero son with a top 1% BW EPD. For calving ease bulls they really have an abundance of appeal and body shape.

• Lot 40 is the natural calf from our outstanding Jessica 701 donor that raised the high selling bull of our 2021 sale. This Man In Black son shows the extra power and dimension that we have become accustomed to from these genetics.

• 4136 is very balanced in his traits, he offers modest calving, excellent growth, and extra marbling. You can rely on him for multi-trait improvement.

• We’ve had several of these Milestone sons and daughters over the last couple of years and they perform. They are consistently some of the heaviest and most rugged cattle we’ve raised. Lot 41 follows suite, look to him to add performance to your next calf crop.

Lots 42-46 The In fluenceof Sterling Paci fic

• These Sterling Pacific grandsons are a very consistent group of younger bulls that still have the performance and data to keep up with their A.I. sired contemporaries. The sires of these natural service bulls were a product of our ET program and intentionally kept back in our herd to increase the carcass, and more specifically the marbling in our cattle. If you are looking to add carcass merit and consistency to your program, lots 42-46 offer a great opportunity to buy in volume.

• While carcass merit is the main reason we incorporated the Sterling Pacific genetics, the daughters have not disappointed. They are still extremely easy fleshing, good uddered, and have the foot quality we demand. I attribute this maternal balance to the famous Isabel cow family that he comes from.

• The dam of the impressive lot 24 bull is a direct daughter of Sterling Pacific and a flush mate to the sire of lot 42.

• Ranks in the top 15% for claw, top 10% for CED & BW, top 3% $M, and top 2% for Angle.

• Lot 71 is a full brother to the top selling female in the 2025 Foundation Angus sale in Denver commanding $24,000. This Man in Black son offers many of the same traits including a top 20% $C figure and foot EPD’s that are top 15% and 1% respectively.

• 3347 is a no miss heifer bull with an actual BW of 65 LBS and EPD’s that rank in the top 10% of the breed.

FRANK OVERDRIVE 3354

• 3354 is another low birth Overdrive son that has extra length and performance also make note of his top 20% marbling figure.

FRANK BLUEBLOOD 3002

• 3342 is another tremendous heifer bull that goes back many of our most productive cow lines. He too Ranks in the top 10% for BW EPD.

• Lot 74 is a heifer safe Blueblood bull that offers a tremendous spread from BW to YW. He’s top 10% for BW EPD and top 30% for YW EPD.

• High Growth Exclusive grandson that will add performance and pounds at weaning.

• These Propulsion sons are some of the most exciting Red Angus bulls we’ve raised to date. We don’t have many, but I can assure you after seeing this calf crop develop there will be more to come. It’s hard to find Calving Ease cattle with as much power and stoutness as they have to offer, while still being correct on their feet, and still possess the performance demanded in today’s market.

• Lots 77 & 78 are flushmates from our impressive PIE Suzie 6457 donor that demonstrates impeccable phenotypic balance and udder quality. These two carry that same style and eye appeal to go along with their outstanding Calving ease, marbling, and index figures.

• Lot 77 reads excellent on paper, highlighted by a Marb. EPD that ranks within the top 6% and a breed leading -6 BW figure that reaches the top 1%.

• Lot 78 is overwhelming in his muscle shape and nearly impeccable in his foot quality.

Lot

• A real calving ease herd sire prospect by Propulsion. It only takes one look at his photo to recognize his quality, but it’s rare to combine his type with such an impressive data set. His Indexes are flawless, and he combines calving ease with stable growth and a well above avg. marbling figure that lands in the top 20% of the breed.

• Another exciting heifer bull that is a direct son of our leading PIE Ruby 5513 donor. His top 1% BW EPD is amplified by his stout phenotype and the maternal backing he has from the ruby cow family.

• These flush mates out of our up-and-coming FFG Rebella 726 donor are sure to turn some heads. Sired by the popular Bieber Jumpstart, they are maternal brothers to the exclusive use Silent Majority Bull that is creating quite a stir amongst the Red Angus breed.

• Each of these bulls excel for foot quality and length of body, and I would expect them to add performance to a cow herd. If you study the data it’s easy to see their impressive WW and YW EPD’s that Rank at or near the top 1% of the breed.

• Lot 85 is an impressive growth bull that finished the summer with a weaning ratio of 108. He’s another long bodied and high performing Jumpstart son that has the growth figures to improve a commercial cow herd’s bottom line.

• We round out the Jumpstart sons with another great growth bull that offers a top 28% BW EPD and a top 10% YW figure.

Lot 87

• Lot 87 has the look of a real female maker. He’s great on his feet and legs and backed by the very first red donor we flushed. These Empire sons have the look, power, body, and most importantly the foot quality that is hard to find in many popular Red Angus pedigrees.

• 4063 has been a favorite of ours all summer. Just as expected, lot 88 is deep red, bold ribbed, and stout as can be. His pedigree screams maternal performance and his EPD profile is balanced as can be. That balance is highlighted by a ProS index that reaches the top 6% of the Red Angus database.

• Lot 89 is the powerhouse of the empire sons. He is one of the widest bulls in the pen when you study him from front to back. As one of the youngest of the offering, he has been able to perform right with the others from the A.I. groups that are 40-50 days older. If you want to power up your cow herd the 4203 bull will get it done.

• This later born Empire son has the extra power and muscle shape we have become accustomed to from his sire.

• The only Spartan son of the offering has plenty of length and stretch to go with his well-balanced look. We have had great success with these genetics in the past.

• There aren’t many Red Angus bulls available with this type of power. We love the extra muscle shape of this Boss hog son. He’s massive from end to end and combines that powerful dimension with plenty of style in his look.

• The Red Label sire has done an excellent job at our Ranch, and the lot 93 bull is testament to his consistency. 4142 is a balanced bull that has plenty of performance paired with his maternal potential, he ranks in the top 3% of the breed for HB and top 5% for STAY.

• Lot 94 is a definite heifer bull with CED and BW EPD’s that both rank within the top 5% of the Red Angus database. Along with his heifer safe birth figures, he’s a highly maternal sire that is big bodied and smooth in his phenotype while being backed by a maternally focused set of numbers. His ProS is top 13%, STAY 9%, HB 4%, and CEM 1% in the Red Angus breed.

• 4045 has the potential to be a true herd changer. We don’t raise many black red carriers in our program but I really like what we have seen from this mating. Backed by our extremely fertile Frank Beauty 810 donor, this maternal brother to last year’s high seller is a stud. With 5 traits that are ranked within the top 6% of the breed, and the kind of look we are all after in the pen, we think lot 95 could be a foundation herd sire.

• These good maternal genetics are deep in the Red label sire group. Lot 97 offers tremendous muscle and body shape to go along with his maternal potential.

• This ¾ brother to lot 99 continues the maternal theme set by the Red Label sire group. He ranks in the top 2% for ProS, and 1% for HB Indexes.

• Lot 99 is a long bodied, good designed Red Label that goes back to one of my favorite cow families on the bottom side of his pedigree.

• Lot 101 starts off a new sire group for us that has been extremely impressive thus far. These natural service bulls are sons of our new herd sire Jones Seneca 7K. Despite being younger, these bulls have managed to stay right with the A.I. groups in terms of performance.

• Lot 103 is the calving ease specialist of this impressive new group. With his CED and BW figures, I would highly recommend him for use on heifers.

• We purchased 7K because of his extra mass and the correctness he has on his feet and legs to go with it. That correctness is on full display in these sons, they are all very stout and sound.

FFG HARD DRIVE 4189

• Lot 104 is a stout negative BW 1094 son that packs plenty of power into a well-designed package.

• Another negative BW 1094 son that goes back to the extremely fertile Raspberry cow family.

• Outstanding heifer bull prospect that ranks in the top 3% for CED, and top 2% in the breed for BW EPD.

• Lot 107 is the first ET son of our FFG Primrose 0161 donor that is one of my personal favorites. The Primrose cow family is one of our best footed and easiest fleshing cow lines on the ranch regardless of color.

• 3393 is one of the most powerful Red Label bulls we have ever produced, with extra muscle shape and length of spine, I’d expect him to transmit enhanced performance to his calves. That performance is confirmed by his CW EPD that ranks in the top 7% of the breed.

• This long-aged fall 18-month-old Empire son is a full sibling to the high selling Red Angus yearling heifer that sold for $17,000 in our November female sale. He’s stout, deep red, and has the same look of quality found in his flush mate sister.

• A smooth made 18-month-old Jumpstart son that is heifer safe. His age advantage and impressive EPD profile make him an outstanding herd bull prospect.

• Lot 109 offers 5 EPD traits that rank within the top 15% of the breed or better.

• 3510 is another long-aged bull that is heifer safe.

• Plenty of length and extension in the final 18 Month bull of the offering.

• We ran 3285 with his sire this summer to clean up our own mature cows. His phenotype paired with the cow power behind him, makes him a real sale feature of the Red Angus Division.

• Lot 112 is a maternal brother to the stout yearling Propulsion sons that sell as lots 77 and 78.

• Lot 113 is another stout two-year-old Empire son that packs a punch. These Empires just get better with age and we couldn’t be more excited to offer these long aged sons for the first time.
