Welcome
to Function and Finesse 2.0 and our genuine thanks for your ongoing interest in this mission. It is our pleasure to provide you with an opportunity to access some of the most sought after Gelbvieh genetics available. Our mission in Function and Finesse is simple and has not wavered since this idea began to take shape two years ago now. First and foremost, we know cattle are the vehicle to the people. We are so fortunate to count the group of people who have supplied this offering amongst our friends. We thank everyone involved in this event for their support and their trust in us. To be honest, we had no intentions of making this an annual event. We said from the beginning we could not cut into the top end of our females so aggressively each year. Every second year seemed like the best fit. Once we closed the shop door last October however, the phone started to ring and we began being approached about the success of Function and Finesse. It was one particular conversation at the Wishlist with someone who wasn’t even here sale day who told us about the impact this concept would have on our breed for years to come. On the drive home, we decided to trust the quality we’ve been striving to create in our cowherd and to trust the girls themselves that we could actually share the depth of quality we insisted on. Our breed is full of outstanding females. We have a highly maternal genetic base which makes up the under carriage of quality the Gelbvieh breed is known for. We humbly believe the group of females you’re about to see in the coming pages has the capability to further the genetic merit of our breed. All of the females in this offering have been managed together here at Twin View Livestock since July. They have been fed and developed with longevity in mind. You will typically see them out on pasture grazing and then walking the half mile back to the yard for water. We provide Blueprint mineral and work under the principles of Verified Beef Production Plus. We pride ourselves on the way these females have been prepared for Function and Finesse 2.0! We are also proud to utilize the programs set out by the Canadian Gelbvieh Association including the orange Gelbvieh RFID buttons and DNA parentage, polled and colour testing. We look forward to seeing you soon and we would be honoured to have you join us on October 16. Please visit us anytime to tour the females and be sure to enjoy our hospitality following the sale with what will be one of the best meals you have this fall. This is the night we celebrate the ladies of our program and our breed so please be sure to bring the important ladies in your life along!

GOODVIEW GELBVIEH / Blair (306) 746-8037, Courtney (306) 746-8034, Kelsey (306) 746-8035
Goodview Gelbvieh is back for Function and Finesse 2.0 and we couldn’t be happier about it! This is one of the most generous and down to earth families you’ll find. Blair and Lorie along with Courtney and Kelsey have created one of the most dynamic cowherds in our breed. If Canadian Gelbvieh had a triple crown, the Bentz’s would have won it last year with a win at the Bull Futurity, being selected as the winner’s choice in the Sweetheart and being named the Man/SK Breeder of the Year. In addition to cattle, the family works together on a large grain operation. As always, we appreciate their friendship a great deal and we appreciate Blair answering the phone each time we call to bounce ideas around or to just talk cattle. More importantly we are thankful Lorie puts up with us when we visit and for always making sure there’s baking ready. Goodview represents Gelbvieh in the Best of the Breeds bull sale each spring. The quality of the cattle matches the quality of the people at Goodview Gelbvieh.
JSJ LIVESTOCK / James (431) 740-5443, Shayla (204) 741-0018, jsjlivestock.com
JSJ Livestock is another repeat member of our sale team and we are so glad for that! James and Shayla have had a big year with their oldest son Ethan graduating from high school and leaving the nest. Aidan isn’t far behind being a Senior in high school and Louelle keeps everyone guessing what she’s up to next. Her growing goat operation has Joe very excited to visit when we get the chance. This family goes in a hundred directions a day with James and Shayla both working full time off the farm, 3 busy kids in just about every extracurricular option and the cowherd. They also volunteer in their community and in the Gelbvieh breed since James and Shayla are each on boards. As always, we admire their ability to keep it all together and still make time for friends and family and we so appreciate their hospitality and friendship. The JSJ crew has their own online bull sale each spring and we are so proud Function and Finesse is the primary event for marketing their high end females.
KERINESS CATTLE CO. AND JONUS CATTLE / Joe (403) 852-7332, Kert (403) 860-4634
Keriness Cattle and Jonus Cattle are made up of Kert & Cindy Ness and Joe Ness & Brenda Faubion. We love any opportunity to visit their piece of heaven near Airdrie, Alberta and unquestionably know the hospitality will be second to none regardless of how busy they are when you pull in, there will likely be some delicious Gelbvieh beef on the smoker. Each time we visit, we are impressed by the progress this cowherd continues to make in depth of quality. One of the things we love most about this family is their ‘yes’ attitude. They believe just about anything can be accomplished and they are the best cheering section you could ask for. If we’re ever needing a push to give something a try, Joe is a great call to make because you will always leave the call feeling like you’re on the right path. They market their bulls privately from the yard each spring. We have worked with the Ness family for 10 years now and we are truly humbled by their support of this breed and of Function and Finesse.
LAST MOUNTAIN LIVESTOCK / Mark (306) 725-8198, Garrett (306) 725-7154, Levi (306) 725-7860
We are so excited to have the Johnson Family from Last Mountain Livestock at Strasbourg, Saskatchewan back for Function and Finesse 2.0! Mark and Glenda, along with sons Garrett and Levi, are quickly creating a Gelbvieh herd for the ages. The depth they have assembled in a short time is nothing short of impressive. Because we know they would say the same, a huge part of that depth is thanks to a major investment they made several years ago in a yearling bull named The Boxer! With a growing cowherd and a grain operation, this bunch is busy. Mark and Glenda have made the short move to town as the boys step more into the helm but everyone works together on a daily basis. Big changes are coming for the family though as Garrett and Levi must have got a volume discount on engagement rings and both popped the question. The Johnson’s raise their own bulls for their large commercial herd and also market bulls from the farm gate.

TRIPLE S CATTLE COMPANY / Brett (306) 614-9049
Triple S Cattle is made up of Brett and Krystal Spray and their daughters Amber, Hailey and Rebecca. The Spray family are a young crew with as much drive and ambition as any we’ve come across recently. With Krystal working off the farm and Brett running his own custom silage business in the fall, Brett’s parents Brian and Karen play an integral role in the day to day operations. We first met Brett at Agribition a few years ago before they purchased the Bad Habit bull from us. One of the things we respect so much about this family is how everyone is included in all aspects of the farm. The girls are busy in 4-H and help out around the farm a lot. Brett and the girls gave us the grand tour when we visited. We were so impressed by Amber’s knowledge of the cowherd, we appreciated lunch with Brian and Karen and we were so thankful for the wild spruce trees that are now trying to thrive in our southern drought. The Spray’s sell bulls privately from the yard and we are proud to have them be part of Function and Finesse 2.0.
LEDGERWOOD GELBVIEH / Samee (509) 566-8805, ledgerwoodgelbvieh@gmail.com
Ledgerwood Gelbvieh of Clarkston, Washington are an exciting addition to the Function and Finesse family! We first got to know Pete and Samee Charriere when we took cattle to the NILE in Billings and better when they toured our program the summer we moved to Saskatchewan. We consider ourselves very fortunate to have become friends in business and life with Samee and Pete. While Aaron and Samee talk all things cattle, Pete is moving into the goat world with Joe cheering him on. There are so many things we admire about this grassroots operation that was named American Gelbvieh Breeder of the Year in 2018. When you see the terrain these cattle work on, you know they are hardy and are forced to be sound, functional and have high quality feet and udders. It is extreme and rough country! Ledgerwood Gelbvieh has a long running bull sale each spring with an extensive repeat buyer list. We are each using the other’s genetics with success and when the opportunity came up to share their genetics through Function and Finesse, we were thrilled!
RPS GELBVIEH / Ryan (306) 342-7259
RPS Gelbvieh is a new member of our sale team but a longstanding Gelbvieh breeder from Medstead, Saskatchewan. The Sommerfeld family ~ Ray & Pauline and Ryan & Michelle are among the most humble and down to earth people you’ll come across. We have long appreciated the real world approach they take to raising cattle in one of the most beautiful places. A pasture tour at RPS is truly something special! What you see is what you get and there’s a lot to be said for that. The cattle are consistently presented in a fresh way without being overfed. The Sommerfeld family sells a large number of bulls from the yard each spring to primarily repeat buyers. Michelle works off the farm and Ryan currently serves on the Canadian Gelbvieh board of directors. They have recently began an exciting venture called Aerow Manufacturing Ltd. with an invention Ryan created that lifts swaths and speeds drying time. Having RPS join Function and Finesse is an opportunity to access the heart of their herd.

Natalie 22Z is a name becoming well known in our breed. It’s rare we come across anyone who has followed our program at all and they aren’t well versed in this prolific and ideal mother cow’s accomplishments. At each step of her life, Natalie has exceeded and surpassed our expectations. She was a beautiful heifer calf and then a commanding bred heifer. She entered production and immediately found success producing Big Time who worked for JSJ Livestock and whose influence is later in this offering. She then raised a son who sold to a commercial customer before a daughter in 2016. It was then we halter broke her and showed the pair together. That heifer calf, Natalie 1D, would be among the most talked about heifer calves in any breed that fall and was calf champion at both Farmfair and Agribition before selling to Cranview Gelbvieh in North Dakota. Her next test was donor cow and it was perhaps this exam where she impressed us most, averaging over 20 embryos a flush. Her first flush to The Boxer yielded huge results including the 2018 bull and heifer calf Agribition division champions. That heifer calf, Natalie 19F, was selected by Goodview Gelbvieh and the bull calf just happened to be Mayweather who went on to win Agribition last fall and now lives at Ledgerwood Gelbvieh in Washington. Also in that flush was one of our most favourite two year olds here, Natalie 53F. She also produced the high selling female in last year’s Function and Finesse, Natalie 116F, to Towerview Ranch. We are thrilled to have two new, unique black matings coming next spring. That said, Natalie is in her prime with years of continued breed leading production ahead of her. To be honest, we aren’t sure we’ve done the right thing in offering our treasured Natalie here. Likely, she should live out her days here in comfort after all she’s done for us. We have a bank of embryos and so she sells in her entirety! It will be a sad day for us when she leaves TVL but you can bet we’ll be cheering you on when you find success like we have with your own Natalie babies! Flushed on April 19. Exposed April 21-May 20 to JLSL Bonanza 929G. Exposed May 21-June 19 to KHR Grizzly Red 39F and DDGR Thunderstruck 8F. Preg tested 32 days on July 10. Due mid March. Twin View will pay costs to parentage verify the calf.

A POLLO
JLSL Apollo was raised by Ledgerwood Gelbvieh and now resides with good friends at Covington Gelbvieh of Colorado. This homozygous polled, heterozygous black pedigree is a total outcross to Canadian cattle. He won his calf division in Denver and our sweet friend, Alisha, was on the crew to fit him. She messaged us and said we’d love him. We loved him even more when we saw his first calves. Apollo offspring were Champion Bull and Reserve Female at the NILE in Billings last fall and a son topped the Pot of Gold sale in February. We’re so excited to finally be getting his first Canadian offspring in January and equally excited to offer this opportunity to Canadian Gelbvieh producers to access unique and now proven outcross genetics. So far the only Apollo calves in Canada will arrive here at Twin View and at Goodview Gelbvieh in 2021. There is a limited Canadian inventory so this will be an opportunity to gain some exclusivity on an exciting sire. The winning bidder will have the option to take all 30 straws so be sure it’s you!

DALIA 9163GET
Opportunity knocks! A full sibling to the readily admired Apollo, JLSL Idalia 9163G ET is a fall born gem who has more look and appeal than you’d have ever thought you could put in one! She is extraordinarily elegant and carries herself with a commanding presense. Idalia has stunning elevation out of her shoulder and carries a beautiful front third. Her dam, Phoenix, has become a pillar in the Ledgerwood program. She has a daughter in production and has raised five sons who have gone on to see breeding duties. The sire, Time Traveler, has 150 registered progeny in the Ledgerwood program and Phoenix now has 13. The decision to flush Phoenix to Time Traveler was an easy one for Samee and Pete since combining one of their most consistent mother cows with their great female maker was a sure fire win. When we were discussing possible sale heifers, Samee was quick to say Idalia was the best female from the flush. Polled and colour testing pending. The best of the best through Function and Finesse. Opportunity isn’t knocking. It’s kicking and screaming! Black

BAHA 1H ET
Writing a footnote for Twin View Baha 1H almost seems unnecessary. This heifer calf is drop dead gorgeous! So correct, so good, so ideal in her type and one we would rank among the best we’ve produced to date. Twin View Baha 1H is beyond capable of becoming the next dominant force in our breed! Her donor dam, JSJ Baha 35B, topped last year’s sale at $13,500 to Smither’s Land & Livestock and she is sired by the $66000 phenom, SLC Viper. Baha 1H will be entered in the Agribition Evolution Series and, although we aren’t gamblers, we would venture to say she’ll find success. We can promise you only one thing. Whether you are new to our breed or a veteran, heifer calves like this are an exceedingly rare find! If you choose to show her, we’ll be happy to settle for second. If you choose to flush her, we’ll be in line for progeny. If you choose to make her a front pasture cow, we’ll be there for a tour. No matter what direction you choose to take her, sweet victory will be yours! Twin View Baha 1H. You’ll be hearing much more about this name. Red

SAMANTHA IS A HOTTIE 15H
It’s not everyday that a heifer calf hits you as hard as this powerhouse does. We were blown away when we saw Samantha 15H! This heifer is beautiful, bold and impressive from every angle. Many will remember her sire, The Heat Is On, from the Pearson program through the Wishlist sale. This is the first calf crop from him and he has bred exactly the way he was intended by adding middle and overall softness. Anytime Get N Go 90J comes up on the maternal pedigree, you know it’s going to be good. We’re about to make a bold statement. Samantha 15H is the best female to ever come out of the Ness operation. She’s that good and we promise she should be starred in every catalog because this is the type you build a program around!

HATTIE 5H
JSJ Hattie 5H impresses us more each day as she gets softer and bellies down and gains a broodier, mother cow look. This mellow yellow sweetheart was mothered by an ideally uddered young mother cow who is a direct daughter of Deep Sands Zap 15Z. Zap is also the mother of the well known Crush bull who works for Overby Stock Farm and JSJ. Zap also raised a heifer calf selected by Jace Cattle in last year’s sale and has one of the top bull calves in the JSJ bull pen this year. Hattie 5H has a really appealing look from end to end and is supported by a very balanced EPD profile. Consistency and mothering ability are bred into this highly maternal package and we anticipate Hattie 5H being an extremely wise investment.

LML Justine 1H is a heartbreaker! The type of girl everyone wants to be with but few get to be. If you saw this young pair grazing together over the summer, you couldn’t help circling back for a second look. We absolutely cannot say enough about the job The Boxer has done at Last Mountain and here at Twin View! We have several high end two year old daughters here but when we toured at Johnson’s this summer, we got in the vehicle to leave and Aaron said, “We’re breeding every cow possible to Boxer!” You could throw a dart to pick the best one in the Last Mountain pastures but interestingly, our pick just happened to be this heifer’s three quarter sister. Rock solid cow family and The Boxer - you can’t go wrong with Justine 1H!

Junior exhibitors! If you’re looking for one to hang a black halter on then you need to put a huge star on LML Emma 8H! This Boxer daughter is so elegant and feminine but has all the underpinnings of a top shelf mother cow. The Emma cow family from the McCoy program is a well known one in Canadian Gelbvieh circles and her high quality dam certainly follows step. A maternal sister to Emma 8H already went into the replacement pen at Last Mountain. The Boxer, The Boxer, The Boxer - his daughters are knocking on perfection’s door! Udder quality for days, easy keeping, broody, excellent mothering ability. They truly check every box we expect in a mother cow and LML Emma 8H will be no different!

HELLO AMY 34H
Hello, Amy! She comes from the Final Countdown bull from the AJB program. It’s not often the immortal Amy Jean Bonchuk comes out of the Manitoba swamps but when she does, you know she’s got something worthy of coming to town. That was the case when she took Final Countdown to Brandon and Agribition as a calf where he was breed champion in the President’s Classic. Joe and Brenda quickly got him bought. Hello Amy is a prime example of the job he did in complimenting cows like her beautiful, moderate framed mother from Jen-Ty Gelbvieh. Several leading programs collide in this pedigree and if you’re looking for a hardworking, honest type of female who’s sure to be trouble free for years to come then Hello Amy might be your girl!

JSJ Heidi 64H is a deep bodied, easy doing female who’s designed for many years of production. Her hardworking, traditional Gelbvieh mother has put three maternal brothers through the JSJ bull sale. Sired by Elite who is a Get N Go 90J son only adds to her maternal capabilities. This is another female who traces back to the Unique Lady 27U family through Beauty 6B. Get in on the ground floor with the first ever daughter of Mayweather to be offered by public auction! This heifer calf has us watching very closely as she has developed. We see a world of promise in Twin View Wicked 27H! She has all the look of an ideal mother cow which is no surprise when you consider she’s a granddaughter of the impressive Natalie in lot 1 and from the Wicked cow family. Her maternal sister topped the Wishlist in 2017 to Dusty Rose Cattle and a mother daughter duo from the Wicked family sold in Function and Finesse last year to MacDonell Farms. That heifer calf went on to be Senior Calf Champion at Agribition and the MacDonell’s flushed the mother cow this spring to Mayweather. We can’t say enough about the potential in this female and we’ll be watching closely to see the success she brings her new owner! Red

If you wanted to talk udder quality on a female, let’s stop the press right now. Generations of mother cows on both sides of Patsy’s pedigree offer perfect teat size and beautiful attachment. Her two year old dam sired by Drake has one of the best dispositions on the farm and did a whale of a job on her first effort. Patsy had a birthweight ratio of just 86 and an impressive 103 at weaning. She is sired by Crowfoot who was one of our feature bulls a few years back to Twin Bridge Farms who we’ve been using through AI and we are certainly liking what we see. Breed leading calving ease numbers and yet still offering some performance and grow is a lethal combination. Twin View Patsy 47H is a perfect choice if you’re after a trouble free, hard working mama cow. This is one we highly recommend! Red

Twin View Astrid 42H is an impressive black 75% daughter of The Boxer from our breed up program. She has a unique combination of power, calving ease and maternal strength that we strive to produce and a little hybrid vigour never hurts. Her dam is one of our favourite half blood cows who is very easy fleshing, good footed and has a perfect udder. We may sound like a broken record but The Boxer daughters in production are excelling as cows and Astrid 42H is well on her way to following in their footsteps. Astrid 42H will be entered in the Agribition Evolution Series where we anticipate her being competitive much like she will be in whatever ring you utilize her. Polled test pending.

HALLE 9H
JSJ Halle 9H is an extremely fancy, eye catching balancer heifer that is going to be a moderate easy keeping type of brood cow. Her dam is a hard working young cow with a tight udder and sound structure who is sired by Big Time. Trace that pedigree back and you’ll see that Big Time was the first natural calf off the great Natalie 22Z, lot 1. Halle is also backed by Unique Lady 27U who is the granddam of Lot 6 and great granddam of lot 11. 27U was still going strong at 12 years of age when we visited JSJ this summer. You hear it time and time again, investing in proven cow families is always a good investment and Halle is double stacked with cow family.

Offering the opportunity to choose 16A, 16B between this pair of full sisters is a tough pill to swallow for us. The story begins with their mother who has been a workhorse in our program for years now. A direct daughter of Post Rock Top Brass, Disco 47X has long earned our respect for consistent production. She earned Dam of Merit honours in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 before becoming Dam of Distinction in 2019 and 2020. This is the highest honour bestowed to mother cows in our breed. A maternal sister sold to Border Ridge Gelbvieh and brothers have sold to Nolan Pharis and our awesome neighbours, the Hicks family. Her hard work and production history drew our attention most in 2018 when she had a massive bull calf at side. Halter breaking her as an 8 year old was easier said than done but winning Brandon and becoming Reserve National Champion female was well worth the effort. Coming 11, she boasts an udder to make two year olds jealous and unrivalled foot quality. The donor pen is calling her name and the gate will open in 2021! Mating her to The Boxer was a no brainer for us. They compliment each other in every way and the evidence is unquestionable. We love stacking maternal pedigrees and this pair of beauties are stacked sky high! There is no way we can let both go so the choice is yours and the other stays with us here at Twin View. MAUREEN 17G
Anytime you tour the Goodview program, you can be sure you’re in for a real treat. When we saw Maureen 17G this summer we were quickly enamoured! This exceptionally complete Diplomat daughter combines some of the most cherished cow families at Goodview with Maureen, Wilma and Heather in the pedigree. Truth be told, it took a great deal of convincing to make her a part of this offering. Her two year old dam has a very bright future and a maternal sister is safely in the keeper pen this fall. It’s a rare thing to find a female with this much substance and mass and still be up fronted and so attractive. We got to see a few Eaton calves on our tour and this mating excites us a whole lot! Making friends will be one of Maureen 17G’s greatest strengths on sale day. Exposed to BLB Goodview Pld Eaton 35E May 1-June 1 and observed bred May 1. Preg tested safe to that date. Red

JLSL Gina 956G is a unique opportunity to access exciting outcross genetics from the 2018 American Gelbvieh Breeder of the Year! Standing third in class at NWSS, she headed back to Washington and when we started to talk sale heifers, this bombshell was first on Aaron’s list. USHA
RPS Usha is the type of female who will make you money year after year. She has a mother cow appearance with her overall softness, extra volume and attractive skull. Her dam at 12 years old is a cornerstone female in the RPS program and when you see her in person, you quickly know why. A granddaughter of the great Get N Go 90J, 7U has raised multiple daughters who are working in the RPS herd as well as one at Diamond Z Livestock. Usha’s sire, Dakota, is a very impressive individual raised by the Smithers family and his progeny are equally impressive. We were drawn to his overall mass, character and soundness which are traits he certainly passes on. Exposed to RPS Sommers Grid Iron 2G April 7-April 24 and BLB Goodview Pld Fowler 46F April 25-June 27. Observed bred April 25 to BLB 46F and preg tested safe to this date. BLACK BETTY
RPS Black Betty is an absolute beauty who will have many falling for her on sale day. When we toured the pastures at RPS, we kept noticing this female who comfortably stood among her older counterparts. When we got to the cowherd and Ryan pointed out her gorgeous mother, it was clear why he selected her as his pick of the B aged females. 183G’s pedigree is an interesting one with Stacker and Red Stacker on the maternal side and Black Mac from Prairie Hills Gelbvieh on the paternal side. Many females tracing back to these sires stood out in the RPS cowherd. Two maternal brothers from the bull pen have sold to commercial producers. Black Betty 183G is moderate framed, sound structured and already setting down a beautiful udder. Colour test pending. Exposed to RPS Sommers Grid Iron 2G April 7-April 24 and BLB Goodview Pld Fowler 46F April 25-June 27. Observed bred April 21 to RPS 2G and preg tested safe to that date. Black

Twin View Disco 67G is a highly maternal gem in a moderate, soft made package who is set to have a picture perfect udder and be a big time mother cow. Born a twin to a heifer, her dam is one of our pets who’s among the first to greet you on pasture tours. The mating to Crowfoot should be an absolute home run! He walks at Twin Bridge Farms and is working really well for us through AI on this type of female. Crowfoot calves easy and his progeny are well put together with added length of spine. If disposition and maternal ability are high on your checklist, Disco 67G will need your attention. AI bred April 17 to AWB Twin View Crowfoot 59E. Exposed to BLB Goodview Pld Drake April 26-June 14. Her dam is a direct ET daughter of the great Maureen 107M who was a cornerstone of the early Goodview program. When you get the chance, be sure to ask Blair how he ranks Holman females. As an added bonus Maureen 10G is safe to Diplomat for a late January baby. Diplomat is the sire lots 18 & 20 making the first product predictably awesome! SANGRIA
RPS Sommers Sangria has an extremely maternal look about her which isn’t surprising when you see she is backed by female makers like Silent Stan, Stacker and Trademark. While touring the RPS herd the Young Blood females consistently stood out for us with their added volume and power. This was also not a surprise since Young Blood was from the Truffle cow family that we are very familiar with. Her moderate framed, beautifully uddered mother has another heifer calf at side this year who is certainly easy to find on pasture tours at Sommerfelds. Sangria is long bodied and ultra feminine with a skeleton designed for longevity. Exposed to RPS Sommers Grid Iron 2G April 7-April 24 and BLB Goodview Pld Fowler 46F April 25-June 27. SUGAR 26F
Twin View Sugar 26F was a member of our show team as a heifer calf when we displayed the first calf crop by The Boxer. She was crowned Reserve National Champion heifer calf that year behind her sister and then she continued to blossom and bloom into the most dominant yearling in the breed last fall winning her National division at Farmfair, the First Lady Classic, and then being chosen as Reserve Supreme Female at Agribition. She gave us a drop dead stunner heifer calf this spring who will show by her side in the Agribition Evolution Series. Her full brother was our high selling bull this spring and another full brother will rival that feat in a few months. Sugar was flushed this spring giving 9 high quality eggs before breeding back 5 days after flushing. She’s even sweeter than her name implies! Red

GAYLE 78E ET
Twin View Gayle 78E ET has been a jewel in our crown from the moment she arrived. With generations of donor cows in her pedigree and both parents being former National Champions, Gracie, as we call her, was destined for greatness. She’s had a dominant show career rounded out with Agribition and Farmfair wins last fall with a gorgeous heifer calf at side. She has already proven herself a potent donor harvesting 19 embryos in her first flush before having another exceptional heifer by The Boxer. Her ET calves on the ground here are becoming some of our next crown jewels including what will be feature bulls next spring and likely one of our next herd sires. Gracie is and will remain one of our crowning achievements in beef production.

If there’s any way we can prove we truly open up our herd and offer the best of the best for Function and Finesse, it may well be this opportunity right here! This lot offers the right to flush one or both of our greatest breeding achievements to date. Our goal is not simply to achieve success within our breed but within the beef industry. We were truly humbled last fall to not only breed and exhibit two of the most dominant Gelbvieh females but to hear comments from fellow producers outside of the breed about the quality these two possess. Option 1: The buyer may choose to flush either female with a guarantee of six freezable, exportable embryos. All costs associated with flushing are the responsibility of the buyer. We will assist in sire selection and offer access to any possible semen in our inventory. Option 2: The buyer may choose to flush both females and receive half the results from each flush using mutually agreed upon sires. A total of six freezable, exportable embryos are guaranteed. If an odd number of embryos are collected, the buyer receives the additional embryo. All costs will split between the buyer and Twin View Livestock. We will assist in sire selection and offer access to any possible semen in our inventory. In either case, Twin View will manage the females and flushing will be completed by Bow Valley Genetics.

DISCO 68H
We firmly believe it is our own responsibility to promote Gelbvieh cattle and grow this breed’s marketshare. Serving on the governing boards is one method of assisting in that work. Aaron currently serves as a Director on the Canadian Gelbvieh Association, he has served as President of the Gelbvieh Association of Alberta/BC and Joe is the current President of the Man/SK Gelbvieh Association. We believe that we get from our industry what we put into it. With these beliefs in mind, we are so excited and proud to donate Twin View Disco 68H to support the important work done by the Man/SK Gelbvieh Association in promoting Gelbvieh and supporting youth in the livestock industry. This female comes directly from our keeper pen! Anytime you see a female with the Disco name you can be assured of maternal strength. Combine the attributes of The Boxer and Twin View Disco 68H is sure to have a bright future. You can expect her to mature into a moderate, high volume, sound footed female with a sweet disposition. She will sell by Dutch Auction with each $10 bid getting you an entry into the draw. For example, bid $300 and you get 30 entries. You can buy your tickets anytime by contacting Joe or Aaron and they will also sell during Function and Finesse 2.0. If you buy and pay before the sale, we will announce your name for promotion. The draw will be made Saturday, October 17 on Facebook live. We thank you in advance for your support!
