MJT Back to the Basics Bull Sale 2025

Page 1

Welcome

We wish to extend the warmest welcome to our friends, neighbors, and fellow cattlemen to join us for our 31st annual bull sale at the farm. The time really has flown by as we reflect on all the great sales, the laughs and the personalities that have truly blessed us with their presence. The cattle have certainly changed but our commitment to our customers is the same as it was when Mick and Deb began their Purebred Cattle journey. Our top priority has always been striving to be number 1 in customer satisfaction.

On Feb 8th we will be offering a set of cattle that we hope garner your respect. They are real cattle; they are not pampered and have been raised through a drought. They are a testament to our females that they indeed are able to go out to work and raise a calf in tough conditions. Our breeding goals have been at the core of this operation for a couple of decades and are pretty simple. Make the cows so they can do it on their own, are sound, consistently raise a quality calf, and do it efficiently. The bulls hopefully strike you as the kind that are going to cover cows well, add some middle and muscle shape, improve foot quality in your replacements and add some pounds to the calves. If you can evaluate them in person, we absolutely encourage you to do so as we believe the quality of the animals as well as the foot structure across the entire offering is excellent. If you are unable to get here, do not hesitate to call. We will be as honest and forthright in sharing our evaluation of each animal as we would be if we were buying for ourselves. We offer a sight unseen guarantee should you work with one of us to help select an animal for your operation’s needs. Thank you for your interest in our program and please let us know how we can be of assistance in being a trusted source of genetics for your herd.

We also welcome Brent and Tyler Fisher again this year with an excellent set of yearling Charolais bulls that are extremely high quality and the type of cattle that don’t need to be overloaded with condition to look the part of a herd bull. We selected our keystone Charolais females from their herd, and are pleased to have them join us at the sale.

MJT CALVING EASE SCORES

We have spent a lot of years selecting for calving ease, and selecting for genetics that allow for calving ease without sacrificing performance. Many customers use our bulls on their first calvers. When we started the ‘Back to the Basics’ Bull Sale we made a system to help you when choosing your next heifer bull. When we grade the bulls, we are fairly conservative. Some of our customers with larger framed cattle successfully ‘level up’ as they get to know our program. Mick has always said, he won’t sell a bull he wouldn’t calve out himself. The system is based on the following...

BW in pounds

Consistency of sire’s BW

Consistency of dam’s BW

Consistency of calving ease of both sire & dam

Reccomended for cows only Reccomended for cows or larger framed heifers Reccomended for heifers

Always keep in mind 50% of your calf’s BW relates back to his dam.

All Registered bulls have been Genetically tested for Parent Verification, genomic enhancement, and carrier status. For those requiring genetic testing data results are available online.

The

MJT TEAM

We have been very blessed over the past years to have had some exceptional team members on both the cattle and the crop end of our operation. We know there is no way that we could do this without them. We host a number of Students and International Work experience each year, and it has been a great experience for us all. Special thanks go out to Brad Tkacik, Jlynn Schneider, Faith Collins, Chase Grimond and Jordynn Rogers (Canada), as well as Lilli Stewart and Oscar Golding (Australia). We would also like to thank all our friends and family that come together each year during our many busy seasons.

Cory ROBINSON

Cory joined our operation just over a year ago and has been a terrific asset each and every day. His two children, Alec & Adrianna, keep him and his wife Kelsey very busy with their competitive hockey and other sports. He takes everything in stride as the days and seasons bring so much change in terms of the skills necessary to keep this place rolling. We could not be happier to have him as part of our team.

April

WARRILOW

April joined our team this fall during a busy harvest season and hit the ground running. She has been a tremendous asset to the team, and her genuine care for the wellbeing of livestock is evident every day.

Matthew, Ryan & Casey TREFIAK

We are blessed to have 3 generations working together on the farm toward our vision for our herd. Matthew has been focusing on the purebred herd, and his memory for genetics and ability to analyze cattle is a huge benefit. With both Mick and Matthew working together in our efforts to build quality Seedstock for our customers, we are excited for the future of our cowherd. Ryan is in Grade 11, and is working hard towards his career and life goals. His knack for all things mechanical and love of the cattle industry has blossomed in the last year. Casey, at 13, keeps us on our toes. He has a love for all animals, big or small, and a knack for picking out the good ones. His female projects have become some of the ranches top, providing us with a herdsire in the Angus, as well as a donor cow in the Hereford. Together, the boys are a great compliment to each other and our operation.

What a great story El Chapo has left at MJT! When we first saw a picture of him we quite honestly didn’t know who Rio Grande Angus was which wasn’t maybe all that surprising as the ranch is past Sexsmith AB and our herdbull travels hadn’t taken us that far North in a long time. Despite that and the fact it is an 8hr drive we had two trusted friends stop to take a look and both reported back that he was better than his picture. Since then, we have made friends with Clint and Anna and their highly talented daughter Faith who worked with us this fall. El Chapo has been a very successful breeding piece here at MJT. He is the rare “no holes” bull. Probably the best numbered herd sire we own, heifer friendly birth weights, and an impeccable foot. His offspring are sure to be highly sought after.

We’ve always admired Brian’s herd as well as his cattle knowledge and comradery! The Creed calves have turned into big stout calves that have great tops and sound structure. His Pedigree reads with some of the breeds legends. Kodiak, Creed, Dateline and EXT, all bulls that left their mark and that made the breed great. We know the job “Creed” can do on the bulls and we look forward to seeing what this royal combination will do with the first females we will calve this April.

Here’s a bull that commands your attention that was used successfully on heifers and has left us a very strong set of calves. A bull that Justin recommended to us and has not disappointed. He is a bull with the “Brooking” look of true Angus character and has bred very well here. He fits in with our “ideal” template for size and shape and type. We expect his females to be very productive. Please note the heifer friendly birth weights of his progeny as well.

We have been big fans of these two full brothers 557J and 560J since weaning and they have only impressed us more as they matured. Retained in herd to propagate a few of the elite foundation animals in our herd. Their dam Cheetah has been a cow we hold with the highest regard around here. She is long as a train, has an exceptional udder and excellent foot quality. Her first calf was 1G and a full sister to these two bulls that has in her own right become an elite producer in our herd and a cover shot worthy female. These bulls are sired by none other than Charlo 28E that has done such a wonderful job here siring stout bulls and beautiful females. We have a ton of confidence in this genetic combination of Crossfire, Charlo and Erica 74A.

The Crossfire bull will have sired more natural calves in our herd than any other bull we have ever used due to his longevity, his drive and our desire to propagate him as much as possible. He was an example of what an Angus bull should be… impressively masculine to the point of being an intimidating specimen, perfect foot with tons of heal depth, a calving ease specialist and fertile enough to breed them through the fence!

She has matured into a perfect uddered, deep bodied and striking maternal package. 92G as you can see from his picture is a bull with immense muscle shape and length of body in a moderate height package. Wheatland was purchased from the progressive Mich/Wheatland sale in 2020 where Mick and Matthew attended just as COVID had shut everything down. There were maybe 25 people in attendance, but the Michelson/Lafrentz families went on to have an absolutely record breaking sale that day. 942G has been a great asset for us to add a shot of size and bone where that combination was required to add some scale to other wise extremely valuable and maternal females. We appreciate his even temperament, big foot and massive hind quarter. You will note he sires the type that weigh up and make money.

BAR-E-L NATURAL LAW 52Y

One of the first son of the now famed $500,000 USD, Bar-E-L Erica 74A to sell, luckily found his way to MJT in the fall of 2017 and he continues to leave a lasting impression on our herd. We notably have retained four sons for our own use and numerous daughters show up as leading matrons in the herd. In the bull pen or the replacement heifer pen the offspring are stout, long, big middled and show exceptional breed character. Sons in this sale are worth a look as Charlo lives on through AI and embryo use in our herd.

402J EL CHAPO 2L

This bull is one of the most balanced calving ease sire prospects we have ever offered. Out of a first calver, he’s low birthweight, but high performance and extremely sound, boasting a 3 lb ADG from birth to weaning on mothers milk. We don’t breed for numbers but he checks all the boxes, he’s in the top 8% BW, top 20% CE but also a top 10% and 5% for WW and YW, respectively. For our carcass data fans this guy is top 20% marbling and 9% for REA too! A whole lot of good in a stylish package.

ROYAL

WILBAR TILDA 409S

If you’re looking for some extra punch, this guy has it. An absolute powerhouse, it’s hard not to appreciate when a beast like this comes along. He travels well, is long as a train and quiet as a kitten. His dam was still producing embryos for us at 14 years old, and she maintained her condition well. Exceptional udder quality, muscling, and hip, this here’s a pound maker.

MJT 595F BRAVO ET 6L

This is an ET son out of our 595F donor cow, a direct daughter of the great Erica 74A cow and Duff Napoleon. This bull combines some of the hottest bloodlines in the breed in a solid footed, long bodied package. This bull is exceptionally smooth made for how much middle he has just because he’s that thick throughout. Plus, his number profile is nice too for those looking into EPDs making him an overall attractive bull.

MJT 112Y CHARLO ET 14L

Dam of MJT 6L

Another 112Y x Charlo son here that’s just like his brother. Full of torque. This bull’s exceptionally thick, full of rib and overall body, and comes with a whole lot of muscle expression too. Longevity, proven performance, and superior udder quality on the dams side make this fellow a standout.

405J EL CHAPO 22L

We campaigned this bulls dam on the show road as a calf for a reason. 22L is a lower birthweight bull out of a first calver. Well rounded when it comes to maternal backing, muscle shape, length of spine, and overall look, he’s sure to be one that sticks out. When it comes to this guy you can’t beat how correct he is on the ground, with a big hoof with ideal claw set, add him to your list.

29

MJT 62G HEARTLAND 29L

Another bigger framed 942G son here. Much like the rest of this sire group, this bull is long bodied and nicely muscled with plenty of middle in him to go with the frame. Backed by a really nice, proven First Impression daughter that has been around the farm for a little while now.

EL CHAPO

A lower birthweight sire out of one of the hottest maternal bloodlines in North America. This is the natural calf out of our 595F donor cow, who’s full siblings have been tearing up the Angus sale rings. With both the legendary $525,000 Bar-E-L Erica 74A and HF Mayflower 191Z, the CAA Premier dam to breed leaders like HF Alcatraz in his immediate pedigree, you wont want to let this one slip under the radar. Soft made with hip, length, performance and style with a great set of running gear underneath him, we can’t wait to see the daughters he will go on to produce. Additionally, this bull has a great EPD profile in both performance and carcass traits. Maternal Brother to MJT 31L

This is a moderate framed, powerhouse type bull. Big time masculinity and muscle expression with a massive top and amount of rib for his stature, he looks like a herd bull. He’s backed by a proven, home-raised dam that always seems to wean off a good one. There’s a lot to like here.

This bull has had performance from day one, this super stout bull is sure to be a feature out of our home raised 560J. Extra bone, thickness, and middle but still stylish and backed by some serious cow power, whether you’re looking to add pounds to the scale or make some replacements he’s a great option.

HEARTLAND 40L

A son of a nice made Crossfire daughter, 40L is a more moderate 942G son. Smooth made, well balanced, and really attractive through his front end, plus some nice hair as well, there’s a lot to appreciate here. Her son last year went to work for Bar J.L. out of Hayter.

43

MJT 913F LANDMARK 43L

SPARROWS MAGNIFIQUE 4C

A bull found by Matthew and Kurt that they knew was the right kind. Descending from a high end Blue Value cow favoured by Cam and Josie Sparrow and sired by their tremendously popular and remarkably long lasting Liriano 660D herd sire. Moreno is co-owned with the Fishers and has done a terrific job of breeding at both places. Despite working hard from a yearling he has matured into a stout, long bodied bull with an excellent foot. We admire the consistency, hair and foot that he is leaving us in all of his calves and we look forward to the longevity of his parents transmitting through to the bulls offered in the sale and in the future.

Manifest is a bull that continues to impress us more and more. Used exclusively on our heifers for two years we have had exceptional luck calving all sizes of heifers to him with very little assistance. The calves are born strong and grow quickly. We will be milking our first daughters this spring and they look like they will be the right kind. Sired by the birth friendly LT Affinity with an outstanding Sparrows Braxton dam from the Becks at Milestone, SK we expect the Manifest bulls in this sale to offer exceptional calving ease and vigour with enough grow to ensure a premium on sale day.

JJ is a bull we have been impressed with since we first laid eyes on him and we were lucky to partner with the Jackson family of Inglis MB on JJ when the gavel fell. It’s a long trip for him to make twice a year but with the excellent progeny on the ground at both programs we are glad he is such a good natured and easy keeping breeding bull. JJ does what the best of the Charolais breed is known for, producing big growthy calves with stretch and hair.

Grazing PartnershipOPPORTUNITIES

Grazing Partnership Opportunities

Are you getting closer to retirement but still enjoy cattle? Would you like to take advantage of the current market highs for retirement savings but aren’t quite ready to retire? Consider a summer grazing partnership.

Animals are brought in at turn-out, with mineral supplied. Cattle are brought back to MJT Cattle at weaning time, or earlier if grazing conditions deteriorate. Flexible options are available.

Grazing Referral Program

MJT is looking for more business partners in the coming season. If you know anyone who is looking to sell or rent their land, let us know. For each 1/4 section we contract from your referral, we will give you, or donate to a charity of your choice, $250 per year of the initial lease program.

Rental Policy

The staff and management at MJT take it as a personal compliment when we are approached to buy or rent land. We take pride in the way we deal with land lords, other farmers, and local businesses. Our preferred circumstance is that the current tenant is finishing his or her farming career, and is no longer renting the property.

We are always looking to expand our acres and do more of what we love. Contact Kurt or Mick to discuss.

These Manifest sons are powerhouses both performance wise and in the birthweight arena. Big topped, explosive ribbed, heavy muscled and good footed he’s and overall well balanced and complete bull.

ICONIC

These Iconic sons are fun to look at. This bulls the perfect example of why, thick from his base all the way to his top, with a whole lot of rib, muscle and an exceptional amount of muscle to boot. If you like them balanced, attractive and with longevity in their pedigree, this guy checks the boxes.

ICONIC 325L

This low birthweight option is soft made, big hipped, and nice topped. To have this much rib and muscle and still be calving ease is exceptional, not to mention his performance and carcass numbers are worth appreciating as well if they’re on your list of selection criteria.

This higher performance bull is one to add extra pounds to the calf crop. Thick made and long bodied, with that extra bone, he’ll make sure getting paid by the pound works for your operation. Backed by the 507C cow, udders are nothing to be scared of here if you like the option of some high performance replacements.

This bulls out of one of Deb’s favourite cows. He’s moderate, but stout made with lots of bone and hair. If you’re looking for a well-balanced package that’s good at the ground and backed by a nice mama cow that goes out and works, this might be your guy.

Sponsorship

A lower birthweight option with some extra frame. Big middled, thick hipped and sound at the ground out of a nice first calver, this bull has a lot of potential. Combine how smooth made and nice fronted he is, calving ease and power put together.

MJT 130J MANIFEST

This bulls a lot of things but short and thin topped isn’t any of them. Backed by a solid mama cow this bull might be on the higher end of our low birthweight options but made right to not be an issue with his smooth front end. Despite being a lower birthweight option he isn’t lacking for muscle either.

makes one excited about a “heifer” bull because it just doesn’t happen

often. Plus his dams an up and coming one we’re excited about so don’t miss out here.

We love proven dams, and 610D is just that. Good uddered, big bodied, and pretty to boot, she’s an asset on this bulls’ resume. This JJ son is long bodied, smooth made

This balanced bull has a bunch of bone and width and overall size to match with the best. We selected his dam for her maternal qualities during calving season at PVF. We really appreciate this guy that has risen to the top of the pen to be a sale feature. An attractive package all around, he’s a solid option.

TRIMAX 364L

Backed by a good dam, this long bodied bull is about as smooth made as they come and equally balanced. Big hipped with a nice front, there’s a lot to like here. He sells without papers at no fault of his own. His dam is an unregistered purebred who has earned her spot here.

SPARROWS LIRIANO 660D

This bulls out of a reliable, well-made dam. Bigger framed, longer spined, and big hipped, there’s more than a few pounds here on a good structured base. A great hairy bull that will cover a bunch of cows and keep looking

A sound made, low birthweight option. This bull is bold ribbed, stout made, and well muscled in a smooth made package. Take advantage of the high quality these Manifest bulls offer with the no nonsense convenience of a mid eighties birthweight.

Here’s a bigger framed, high performance sire prospect. Despite his frame, he’s big middled, with lots of hip and muscle. Not to mention he’s extremely well balanced and attractive around his skull structure. Out of a solid dam from the Springside dispersal, he’s also exceptionally well numbered when it comes to an EPD profile.

Fischer CHAROLAIS BULLS

Fischer Charolais is pleased to be back for its fourth year in the Back to the Basics Bull Sale. We would like to thank last years buyers for their support. Stan Pawlow, Jordan Mackay, Jeff Leskow and the George Ranch.

Our farm is located just east of Irma, and Tyler’s family has just recently added the sixth Fischer generation to the Irma community. We are an average size grain farm, and a cow/calf backgrounding operation, along with a small herd of Purebred cows.

We have selected 5 of the top bulls from our program that we are very proud of and confident they will be a great addition to your bull battery. The Moreno calves available have lots of length and thickness as well as a heavy haircoat. LT Countdown is new to the embryo program and we are pleased with the calving ease he brings as well as the performance throughout his offspring.

Our bulls In this sale will be srcotal measured and have a current weight available near sale time. They are guaranteed to pass their semen test by April 1, or the buyer will be refunded their deposit or select a replacement bull of their choice. We will keep the bulls on feed until April 15 at no cost to the buyer and will provide delivery.

When we had two herd sires break down just before breeding season, we found ourselves in a less than enviable position of having more pastures than bulls and that prompted a call to our friends Lance and Sherri Leachman. They were gracious to lend us this stud of a herdsire that they had found at the highly maternal cow herd of Phantom Creek Livestock. The Mann’s made famous the PCL prefix with a tremendous dispersal of exceptional females in December of 2022. For 11J, despite already servicing a breeding pasture at Big Gully as a yearling, when he arrived he exhibited extra muscle shape, stout bone and a dark colour with pigment that we appreciate. No doubt he has left us with a set of calves that will breed on with a lot of quality.

Everyone here knows “Hanson” as our current leading Sr. Hereford sire who we purchased from Sherri Hanson in South Dakota. He is one of the cleanest footed Hereford bulls we have seen and he passes it on to his sons and daughters, they are all near perfect “at the ground” which is extremely important to us around here. You will note a consistency in the look of his offspring with most having great pigment and bare necked. The first daughters in production look terrific and weaned some heavy calves last fall and you can just tell they will be sticking around here for a long time.

Royal has flat out produced. Across the nation many breeders have put their trust in Royal and bred their best, as a result these breeders have sold many high sellers and retained some extremely high quality genetic gems. Our leading donor 606H, is herself a Royal daughter and we always appreciate every daughter we have when touring the pastures. A high seller in last years sale went to the Franks in Montana where he bred extremely well and went on to win the NILE Stock Show in Billings. “Royal” is a household name in the breed and we are glad we had the opportunity to walk such a great breeding bull in our pastures.

The Uruguay Projectwith Cabana Las Anitas

We have made many miles looking for animals that ‘check the boxes’ to add value to our program for our customers. We have strict criteria, and don’t always find what we are looking for. New genetics must originate from a generationally maternal-focused herd, with cattle that have to work for a living. In addition to being attractive, they must be built right, move well, and offer an outcross to what we can access at home.

In late 2018, Las Anitas was offering a ‘Pick of the Herd Flush’ in the International Designer Genes online sale. In researching their program, they were having successes both in and out of the ring, and their females had a lot to offer. The only catch, just a short 27 hour trip to tour cows! Uruguay is a country with only 3 million people, and 12 million head of cattle. Beef is their primary industry and their hotter dry environment with winter temperatures around 2-4C and summer averaging 35C during the breeding season selects for high fertility and the ability to perform under tougher drought conditions.

Located in Durazno, Uruguay, Las Anitas is a family Hereford Seedstock operation currently operated by two brothers, Fernando and Pepe Alfonso. In addition to a commercial Hereford operation and successful genetics company (Urugen), they raise and sell 100 seedstock Hereford bulls in their own sale each year. Fernando was generous with his time and took us to many other firstclass Hereford operations.

When we toured Cabaña Las Anitas, it was clear that we had made the right choice. We struggled to select ‘the pick’ of the females, and the only logical solution was to add additional flushes to our import plan. We found the cattle to be sound, have great muscle expression, be built and marked right, have remarkable hair coats, and most importantly, the females in the purebred program were exceptional. Among many other quality dams, we saw the ‘Legendary’ cow. She has numerous National and World Champions in her progeny, including Katrina, Santa Maria, Violetta, and Kamikaze, and you will find her in the pedigrees of this offering.

This year’s offering shows much of the same promise. Early maturing, high growth, and stout, in a well-moving and attractive package, they are an exciting outcross opportunity in the Hereford Breed in North America. They are valuable breeding tools for those looking to add value to their replacement females.

Thank you to Omar

Sire:

It is pretty special when a great one comes along, when they come in pairs its extraordinary. It seems the search for the “one” that can make the difference to propel your herd to the next level is forever ongoing. When you find one that can truly move the needle in quality, exclusiveness, and maternal quality, imagine the value that combination can add to your progeny. How long does the influence of a great sire impact your cow herd?

These bulls offer far more than an intriguing look and a stout stature. They are absolutely the most efficient and easy fleshing cattle we have ever seen. The deep generational selection for thriving on grass alone and quickly maturing with marginal forages is an incredible attribute in a business that counts its greatest cost as feed. For a breed that already surpasses all others in efficiency and cost of gain, further selection for such an important trait is a differentiator that becomes a powerful argument throughout the industry to pursue the Hereford influence.

When we decided to calve in April/May we conceded that showing spring calves at 7 to 8 months of age would be nearly impossible. They would never be mature enough to look competitive nor big enough to attract attention. These calves proved otherwise. From within the breed and from outside we had so many favorable comments about the quality and the type and kind. You know they are good when April babies are regularly drawing a crowd. We have never witnessed the early maturity that these three Uruguay calves have exhibited along with such impressive growth. If quality at weaning translates to market topping sales for your customers then early maturity means returning bull customers and for the finishers a short time on feed which means continued premium bids.

All that before mentioning the absolutely stellar maternal make up and production record of the dams in the pedigree. At Las Anitas they have bred for great udders and a maternal look that is many generations deep as you can see from the support pictures on these pages.

If you need a new herd sire that’s homo-polled, defect free, short marked, has great hair, maternal power and a ‘notice me’ look then study them both and try to decide which one of these studs you need to use in your operation.

This bigger framed powerhouse of a bull is a unique one. Long bodied, big topped and exceptionally deep, he stems from one of our most prominent cow families in the Nellie 17B female. This big boned, smooth made bull is easy to look at and equally impressive.

This is a low birthweight, moderate framed bull. Soggy made, nicely muscled, and smooth throughout while being backed by a dam that looks good and covers all the bases. Not to mention he’s a top 5% BW and CE bull and exceptionally numbered in most other categories as well.

A higher performance bull that’s bigger framed and long bodied, he’s sure to add some pounds to the calf crop. Loose hided and smooth made, this good footed bull is backed by a

This bulls a son of one of our top donor cows. This cow doesn’t miss and we’ve retained every female from this bloodline for our own use. A bigger framed but nice birthweight option, this bull is long spined, smooth made, and loose hided with some extra bone to boot. This guys a complete package.

910

216D FONZY ET 910L

Another Marigold son here. This bull is maternally backed and bigger framed. He adds a long spine, soft hide, and whole lot of bone with some hip to boot. A good one to add to your list.

This lower birthweight option is moderately framed but real stout. Big hipped, stout made, and well muscled this fella is backed by a solid cow and has some real potential as a young herd sire.

This low birthweight, good-numbered option is a solid bull to add to your list. Backed by a good producer of a young cow, moderately framed, thick over his top loose hided and dark pigmented. Combined with a sound structural package, he’s a good one.

This high-performance machine is out of an up-and-coming cornerstone donor female in our Hereford program. Nellie 606H is a producer with great foot and udder conformation that we are so excited about. A bit bigger framed, but long spined and deep bodied, this bulls exceptionally balanced in an attractive package.

This easy calving bull will definitely work on heifers. He unfortunately lost his mom well before weaning and with the drought he had lost some ground to the rest of the bulls. He has been making it up however so don’t miss on this guy if you need to ensure lighter birth weights, solid markings and excellent structure.

This meat machine is as good footed as you can make them. This bulls out of a powerhouse of a Rocky daughter by our 210D cow, a farm favourite. If you like them thick, big ribbed, soft made, and balanced all around, write this guy down.

This moderate birthweight bull is out of one of Matthews cows that’s nice uddered and a good producer. He’s big topped, big hipped, and has rib shape to spare, overall a pretty complete option to consider.

Stout made and thick over his top, this big ribbed bull is loose hided and easy doing. Coming from a solid mama cow, a maternal sister to our 606H donor, this low birthweight bull checks the boxes. Phenotypically, this bulls balanced, and his EPD profiles the same. Good numbers, good looks, good mom, what a blend.

This calving ease sire is out of a nice uddered young cow. He’s level topped, big hipped, and has a nice amount of muscle shape with a bold sprung middle. There’s a lot of things to appreciate here.

big

This bull comes out of a dam stemming from our Marigold donor cow. A maternal sister this bull was purchased last fall by Prime Time Cattle in Mexico and is the only female that has left this farm from this cow family. This Royal son is dark cherry red, long bodied, and big hipped. If you’re looking longevity and consistency, he’s one to watch.

Maternal Sister to MJT 952L

This moderate, good footed bull has a whole lot of muscle in a denser package. He’s stout made with a big square hip and level top but doesn’t skimp on rib shape and middle either. Add into that mix a nice Royal daughter for a dam and he checks off a lot of the right boxes.

This Jake son is an outcross for Horned breeders. The Jake bull goes back to the great Jada 115F cow from ANL and the dam is a maternal sister to our Rocky herd sire that was named World Champion in 2018. A bigger bone and framed bull here, but exceptionally well balanced with plenty of thickness and muscle, we like this one.

607H BELLE AIR 967L

A lower birthweight breeding option here out of the well-respected Belle Air sire from Barbers in Texas. This bulls good footed and really correct in his leg structure. Combine that with his length of body and big hip he’s just a nice complete bull all around.

122C FOREFRONT 969L

This lower birthweight bull is really good in terms of his maternal backing and his carcass numbers. Good footed, moderate framed, but long bodied and stout this bull checks off a lot of boxes phenotypically. Smooth made, balanced, with a bit of style too, this is a good one.

This bull is a performance machine whether you’re looking at him on paper, or by phenotype. Dark cherry red, good pigmentation and a big square top with an exceptional foot made him the one to represent our Hereford offering in The Yards at Agribition. He’s loose hided, good muscled, and thick made throughout. Just a powerful option all around with good carcass numbers to boot.

This bull is a first calf out of one of our Uruguayan bloodlines. The dam here outdid herself raising this meat machine. A bit bigger framed, but super long spined and thick throughout with an explosive rib and big foot, this soggy crossbred bull is a standout.
