Dear Customers & Friends,
On behalf of the November Gold Sale Group, we would like to extend our warmest welcome to our 11th Annual Prospect & Club Calf Sale. We are excited to be selling our 3rd year at the Lloyd Ex. We couldn’t ask for a better facility to be in, or staff to work with.
It was another great year for our Junior members, and we could not be more proud of each and every one of you! These Juniors and their families put on a million miles hitting many Junior Shows across Saskatchewan and Alberta throughout the year and we could not be more grateful to you all for showing them off. We are so fortunate to work with such amazing families- many repeat customers and many new faces to help guide along the way. We saw many Champions throughout the year at Junior Shows and 4H Shows, and also saw a 1st in Class at the coveted Calgary Stampede. We have no doubt the future of Ag is in good hands!
The cattle market has never been hotter and we are seeing record breaking prices for all levels of cattle. It is such a good feeling to see these calves bringing the prices they should be- the future has never looked brighter! This year our Sale group has brought another very exciting group to town. This is one of our largest steer offerings to date, consisting of calves that suited for all ages and all levels of competition. Whether you are just looking for a kid friendly 4H steer or that steer that could take you to the Stampede- we truly believe as you flip through these pages, you will find your calf. If you are on the hunt for a high quality purebred or commercial heifer to show or add to your herd, we have no doubt you will find one here. A group of heifers that can go straight from the show ring to the front of your pasture.
We are so happy to welcome our friend Mike Fleury back to the auction block this fall. What would our sale be without Mike! He has stood by our side and sat on the block each and every year, and we could not be more grateful to have such a great cattleman on our team. Thank you Mike for all you do- we sure appreciate you!
It really takes a village to put on this sale- from our helpers each and every year out back, our fearless ringmen, our families holding down the forts at home, our catalogue makers and our friends that support us year in and year out. We could not be more grateful to be a part of an industry that treats their neighbors like family. There isn’t enough of that in this world. What a great way for our kids to grow up and what an honor it is to supply calves to such wonderful young people and their families. Thank you to all who keep coming and tossing up their hands and spending their hard earned money on our cattle. We would not be here without your unwavering support each and every year. The future is bright and we will dig our heels in and haul these calves to town for as long as you will all let us.
Yours Truly, November

CONSIGNED BY ARCH HOLDINGS
Boom Boom was a member of our summer show string and came out as Champion Prospect Steer at the Weldon Ag Showcase. He is a full sib to Quinn Hoegl’s steer Boomer, that she showed very successfully in 2021. He is out of a no miss cow from the Earley Livestock program, who has had every one of her calves grace this sale. It is no secret how much we love our Tom Selleck calves for their style, mild temperament and feedability. Boom Boom has all of those traits, all rolled into an attractive package that would be great for any level Junior Member.

CONSIGNED BY ARCH HOLDINGS
Fly is a very attractive steer out of a power house Tom Selleck cow. He was also a member of our summer show string and was Reserve Champion Steer at the Prince Albert Exhibition. We feel this is just the start of what could be a very successful show career. He has all the right pieces- a huge top, wide quarter, long body, soft middle, crazy fun hair and a sleek front end. It won’t take much feed to get this boy to where he needs to be- slap a halter on him and you are ready to roll!

Hollywood is a steer we have really appreciated since day one. His dam- Penny, is no stranger to the November Gold Sale, producing countless good ones. He has already hung a banner as Champion Prospect Steer at the Prince Albert Exhibition. We feel this is just the beginning for Hollywood. He has an amazing hair coat, nice lines, a big ole hip and top, smooth front end and the coolest fuzzy ears. Hollywood was born to take you places!

You will find genetics of our two foundation females- Muirhead’s Timberland 7A and Halle Berry 117Z, littered throughout our offering. It has taken us years to build a solid herd stemming back to those matriarch females, and this year’s offering shows what patience and consistent breeding can produce. Those Halle Berry genetics are just add that extra flair into each calf and the Timberland genetics add the extra meat and potatoes. Skeeter is proof in the pudding. We really like this steer a lot. He is a very attractive steer with a lot of presence. He has nice clean lines, a soft middle and travels out very well. A great haircoat and a great attitude. We think this steer has a bright future and will feed very well. One of our favorites this year.

Fireball definitely has a presence and a “show look” to him. He has a rocket front end, nice skull and the best fuzzy ears. He is long bodied, big hipped, good haired, all set on top of a great set of feet and legs. He is a maternal sib to Lane Robinson’s Lot 3 steer last year- Raddler. We think Fireball could be a ton of fun. Get some feed into him, haul him to the jackpots and have some fun!

Red is a full sib to Weston Fahey’s heifer- Ghost Pepper, who he purchased in last fall’s sale. The two had a very successful show season together. Red is further proof that this Hereford/Maine cross works very well. He has the best cherry red color and soft hair coat, topped off with that desirable brockle face. He is long bodied and full of meat and muscle, all stacked on a solid set of wheels. He is quiet as they come and would be a great steer for all ages and all levels of competition- just a really complete calf.

We just love how Timberwagon crosses on these Maine cows- it just flat works. We purchased Skooch’s dam from Pick Six Cattle and she is proving herself to be a great addition to our herd. Skooch is a nice chunk of meat! He is a solid calf- lots of guts, a big old top and a solid quarter, all topped off with that striking cherry red color. He is as quiet as they come, hence the name “Skooch”, we always have to skooch him out of the way. He will be a fun calf for all ages!

We really like this fuzzy little guy! Cash is a full sib to Quinn Hoegl’s Lot 2 steer from last year- Woodrow. Cash reminds us a lot of his brother. Tank is just that- a tank! This calf is solid. Tank is a full sib to Josie Robinson’s silver steer she showed two years ago- Walt. Walt was a favorite of many all year, and even though Tank doesn’t have the silver color to show off like his brother, we think he has just as much potential to feed out and be a good one. He has a big top, lots of middle to him and a good solid quarter. A nice head and smooth shoulder top it all off. Tank will be a fun one to watch develop.

This is one that has been admired by all who have seen him. It isn’t just his show stopping color pattern that makes you draw to him, but one that sort of puts it all together from his bold bone structure, into a massive hip that wraps right into an ideal belly line, and into a smooth shoulder, up into a high neck and attractive skull. Not hard to guess that this would be a 3/4 sibling to the steer named “Scooby” from the 2022 show season that Casie Brokenshire campaigned with much success, ending the season with 3rd overall at the Calgary Stampede.

Soon after the success of the Eaton family winning Calgary, it was decided that it was time to incorporate embryo transplant into our Club Calf program. So, with that, the never miss- Lolitta was flushed. I don’t think I’m the only one that would agree this mating just plain out works. A term that was used plenty of times when describing the Eaton steer from 2021 season was-there isn’t just one thing that really wows you about him, but he is just good everywhere. Mudslide, or “Spunk”, as Jack and I like to call her, is truly one of a kind. It has been awhile since we have had a commercial heifer of this caliber. She is one that can run with the purebreds, and she has proven that this summer. She hung quite a few banners this summer, being crowned Reserve Grand Champion Com- mercial Female at the Prince Albert Exhibition, Champion Heifer Calf in the Princess Classic All Breeds Heifer Calf Jackpot at the PA Ex, Champion AOB Heifer Calf & Overall Champion Heifer Calf at the Weldon Ag Showcase. If you are looking for a show heifer for this upcoming season- look no further- this is her. She is out of a no miss Dam who raised many great November Gold calves over the years including- Garrett Feige’s Rocksteady, Carter Goudy’s Rockstar, Josie Robinson’s Coman- che and Alex Manson’s Rogue, to name a few. After her show career is done, she is the one who will raise you those competitive steers and maternal females. Long bodied, smooth shouldered, rocket fronted, all on a good set of wheels, you can’t go wrong here- take a look!

Apache is the youngest heifer we have ever offered for sale. She was literally weaned 4 days prior to picture day- a very last minute addition. This was a decision that was not made lightly as we hoped she would wear a halter here. This is a calf we think very highly of, a Maintainer heifer of as good as quality as we have ever raised. She is out of an Icon son stemming back to Halle Berry 117Z and a big soggy Getcha Some dam. Her genetics are stacked for success. Apache is beautiful fronted, soggy bellied and gets out and travels like a cat. She is super easy going and will be a dream to show- who could look past those unique markings. Before I talk myself out of selling her, I’ll stop writing…she is a special one, to say the very least.

She possess a ton of bone and shape, all wrapped into a nice feminine package with a stunning brockle face. We love our Timberwagon females. They make great cows. Honey also has a shot of Halle Berry genetics on her bottom side, stemming from a Maternal Made second calver who is quickly becoming a favorite around here. We sold Honey’s maternal brother to Red Fox Maines last year and are eager to see his first calf crop. We feel this little beauty will make an excellent cow when her show career is over.
