Welcome to the 2019 Edition of the Prairie Cove Annual Bull and Female Sale, February 21st, at the ranch, Bashaw, Alberta. The Bullick Family are pioneers in the Charolais industry with Tyler being the third generation of breeding superior seedstock. This year’s lineup is larger and deeper than it has ever been, with several breeder quality bulls headlining the event. No doubt the full ET brother to the reigning Canadian National Champion female is a definite favorite but the genetic strength of the program will offer you many options. Many of these young prospects are the result of the Prairie Cove embryo transplant program…some of the top donor females in the nation! Big, rugged, with plenty of testicle and lots of hair, the bulls are diverse genetically and phenotypically. Whether you are looking for power bulls needed in the big pastures or calving ease bulls for those who hate getting up at night, the lineup will suit any program and any budget. The open heifers are replacement quality, some are sisters to the bulls offered. Although hard to part with, the young females come with the PCC stamp of quality. I started my welcome last year by saying what a year we had at Prairie Cove, but in all honesty the past calendar year has been even better and more exciting. Justine and I were married this summer and what an event it was. Fun times were had, and we got to see many old friends and family. We couldn’t have asked for a better celebration. Our girls have had such an amazing year showing in Scarlet’s words “the ultra famous and ultra glamorous Lady Glitter Sparkles”. The girls have grown so much and gained so much confidence. I am so proud of you Indy and Scarlet. The Charolais breed is in high demand with the Charolais bull being as popular as ever and gaining more traction and market share with every passing day. This years Bull and Select Female offering is as unique and diverse as any line-up you will find. We are loaded with HIGH quality bulls for seed stock producers and commercial producers alike. We purchased a large stock of M&M Outsider 4003 PLD semen and have many genetic opportunities in the offering sired by this new OUTCROSS bull. PCC Rebel 635D was a high seller in last years bull to Nordal and we also used him a bit on our cows with great success. Nights Shade is a popular bull when we have visitors go through the bull pen, he has an attractive look and mature bull head and crest, big testicles and that coveted curly hair. Nights Shades mother is a hard working, heavy milking Pastor daughter. Outcross pedigree on a very interesting Herd Bull. PCC WHITE BOY RICK 827F is moderate framed but is thick butted, big topped, large rump anyway you want to explain it, he has a BIG ass!! What also makes PCC 827F so interesting is his 87lbs birth weight, he is finer in his bone design and that is where you can see he started as such a moderate BW as a youngster. That sure didnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t slow him down, he has grown out to be a strapping lad. Really neat from his hooks to pins and attractive in his design, he has always been one of Justines favourite bulls. We are very excited to have some of the first M&M Outsider 4003PLD progeny in Canada. Our group of Outsiders are very impressive, a group worth the trip to Bashaw to evaluate. This is an April 5 born bull but he has put it all together, huge hip when you get behind him, mature crest and great head. PCC Outside the Lines 329F has an 82lbs birth weight, along with his strong feet and leg structure makes him a BIG TIME herd sire prospect. Miss Prairie Cove 911W is a moderate framed powerhouse female. Both bulls started at 80lbs and they haven’t looked back since, they are out of a big bodied, broody Pastor daughter that raised the High Selling heifer calf in the sale last year. If you want consistency in your calves buy both bulls and turn them out, your calves will be peas in a pod. The sketch is based on a photo taken of the lot 14 bull in this year’s sale. Artist Daniel J. Schneider is a freelance artist based out of Edmonton AB. He grew up with purebred Angus, the Northline Angus operation. He spends most of his time creating art for the comic book genre, but maintains his ties to his agricultural roots through custom art work and limited edition drawings that portray the western lifestyle. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Bidding: Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted. Disputes - Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze. Exception Guarantee: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void. Certificate of Registration: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais Association. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made. Liabilities: All persons attend the sale at their own risk.
